I reincarnated as an elf .......and married the yandere villainess.-Chapter 41:Missing
Prince Solaris paced around as he looked towards the tent his face tainted with worry. The guard beside him was of the same mindset.
"You should rest Your Highness, " the head of the guards said to him.
Solaris shook his head his gaze still on the quiet forest.
"It’s been a day since we all entered but Atheline isn’t back, not even the boy I was mentoring," he said his frustration leaking into his words.
"You don’t have to worry too much your highness, lord Atheline knows the forest like the back of his hand. He might be held by something or hunting something bigger...you know how he always comes out with something impressive every time. "
The prince stopped and looked at the guard.
"Yes but he always comes out by the time the sun rises but look, the moon has risen the second time," he pointed to the sky.
His frustrated voice echoed in the quiet clearing. He turned his gaze to the dark elf side and walked towards the lead elf who was seated around the bonfire.
"Have you gotten anything about your saintess, " he asked.
The man shook his head.
"No your highness, we seem to have the same predicament as you. The saintess is unreachable and a few of our soldiers," he said calmly in contrast to the panic in the prince’s eyes.
Solaris sighed to himself and took a seat next to the man. The fire warmed him a little as the cold wind blew by him.
Trees hummed softly as the wind blew by them their leaves rustling against each other.
’Wind huh’
Solaris stood up suddenly. Everyone turned to look at him in confusion.
"Is there a wind elemental?" He shouted.
A soldier from the dark elf side raised his hand hesitantly. He had Black short hair, green eyes, and a face that would be considered normal.
"Me your highness."
Solaris smiled.
"Can you communicate with the wind, ask where he is, or just send it into the forest to listen, " he said excitedly.
The wind manipulator rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Thats too much your highness, I can not do that. I can only use my wind for attacks."
Solaris looked at him in confusion. How was that even possible?
"Are you sure?" He asked in disbelief.
The man nodded. "Only those above S+ can perform such feats."
Solaris chuckled softly and nodded.
"You may go."
The soldier nodded and walked back to his group. Solaris played with his hands behind him and leaned back.
"Where are you?" He whispered to himself.
They were leaving the next day since the wedding and engagement were the day after tomorrow. He just hoped Atheline would attend since he had been looking forward to it.

On the other side, in the forbidden forest, Caius looked at the cave entrance looming before him in awe. It was bigger than the one he had seen in his hometown.
"Is it really in here?" He asked the saintess who stood quietly beside her.
She nodded.
"Yes, my mother’s last prophecy pointed to this very forest and cave. The wind will guide you," that had been what she said.
Caius nodded. Having spent a whole day with her, he had come to trust her but not too much. Lord Atheline had warned him against trusting too fast.
"What is inside?" He asked.
Yander shrugged and stepped forward, Caius followed behind her as they ventured into the cave.
The walk wasn’t long before long a small raised platform came into view but that wasn’t the impressive part of it.
On top of the platform hung a sword, suspended in the air. It felt majestic even from afar. The white and golden scabbard gleamed in the light just like its intricately carved handle.
"Beautiful."
The words slipped out of Caius before he could restrain himself.
He blushed and coughed awkwardly as he tried to hide his embarrassment.
To his right, the saintess had her eyes closed her hands to her chest as she prayed silently.
Caius didn’t disturb her, he studied his surroundings. It was then that he noticed a glaring problem in the cave that he was in.
The walls were too smooth unnaturally smooth. It looked as though it was carved by hand.
He slowly walked to his left while making sure not to step on the rocks below. He came to a stop in front of a large drawing.
He narrowed his eyes as he studied it.
"It’s history."
Yander’s voice behind him made him jump, he hadn’t heard of her approach. She ignored his reaction and stood beside him.
"Is this really history," he asked while pointing at the wall.
The drawings were barely visible and those that were visible seemed to be broken somehow.
"Yes, this must have been written when all the species lived together and the continent had not broken apart."
Caius glanced at her.
"You’re saying it was drawn before the cataclysm?" He asked in disbelief.
"Yes."
Caius shook his head.
"Thats impossible, that was like five hundred thousand years ago, the paintings would have already been destroyed, washed away by the passage of time," he refused firmly.
She sighed.
"Do you not notice that no one was able to enter the forbidden forest because it acts as a barrier to keep intruders out?"
Caius fully turned to look at her in surprise.
"What? So you mean, everything inside here isn’t real"
She shook her head.
"No, everything is real, it’s just that the illusion prevents those with greed from reaching this cave. Only the chosen ones would be allowed in."
Caius looked between the drawings and the sword.
"How long has this sword been here?"
The saintess pointed to a drawing of an Elf holding a sword.
"Long enough," she said and turned to leave heading towards the sword," we should leave soon, the hunt is about to end."
Caius looked at the picture memorising most of it before he followed her.
"Will there be some sort of test?" He asked.
The saintess nodded.
"Of course, it’s a sword made by the gods themselves."
