"Eh? You wanna know my birthday?" Lillian tilted her head, leaning her back against the couch. Marionette, who was sat extremely close to her, nodded, firmly.

"I found that—outside of your family's background—I didn't know you very well and..."

"Ah...! So you wanna get to know me better? I guess that's what we intended to do with the whole rule thing." She then smirked and raised her left hand towards Marionette's left cheek.

"Real adorable, though, Marionette." she rubbed her cheek.

Marionette stared at her with a frozen expression before clutching the hand placed on her cheek and leaning into it.

Lillian was surprised by this. Only for a moment, though. She just expected Marionette to turn her face away like usual... except...

"I'm only like this... for you..."

Lillian was left stunned at Marionette's words—speechless, even. This was definitely not what she was expecting—especially not a sudden confession like that.

She unconsciously pulled back her hand—only for it to be pulled back and placed on top of the Assassin's head. She then heard as Marionette whispered:

"I've been training you whenever I get the chance... but you've been neglecting to give me these..." She leaned in towards Lillian and then said, after a moment's pause, "You haven't been forgetting about our deal... right?"

Lillian smiled nervously at Marionette's low tone and slowly began rubbing the top of her head. "Wha... of course not... I was just looking for a good time to give it."

"Is that so... and yet you keep giving them to Millis?" The assassin asked with a raised eyebrow, staring sceptically at the rabbit.

In an effort to change the subject, she said:

"June 6th. That's my birthday. How about you, Marionette?"

"My... Birthday? Its in April on the 3rd."

"Eh? You're older than me?"

"It would seem so..."

Lillian scratched the back of her head, a little surprised. But she was then distracted by Marionette's words.

"That also means I have some seniority over you, don't I?" She asked with a slight tilt of her head and a small smile.

Lillian raised an eyebrow at her, "Seniority? You're making it sound like you get to tell me what to do just because you're older." She laughed, slapping her left thigh.

The small smile on Marionette's lips seemed to become more forced as she listened to Lillian's words.

"Indeed. But of course... It's just a joke." She stated, with narrowed eyes.

The two then went on back-and-forth, asking each other different questions to get to know each other better.

They were so engrossed in their queries that they undoubtedly lost track of time.

Marionette watched as Lillian chattered on and on about her favourite hobbies, with a dazed expression. She was still making mental notings of what she said, though.

However... she did get distracted from time to time—due to the hand, rubbing the top of her head with absolute gentleness. She felt a warm feeling course through her chest.

She then watched as Lillian pulled out her phone to check the time. "Oh? 9pm already?" She looked up from her phone at the beautiful Assassin, sitting beside her.

"I think we should end the day's "questioning" for now. We can do some more, tomorrow." She smiled, retracting back her hand—only for it to be pulled back again.

Her smile then turned wry as she stared at the black-haired woman. Was she ever going to be freed from this? She then asked with a hint of curiosity:

"Sooo... Can I get back my hand?"

Marionette stared up at her. Lillian swore she could see the tail of a black cat swaying behind the woman.

"... No."

"Okay... Aren't you going to go back to your room then? Even if we don't have classes, we still gotta attend tutor in the morning..."

"... Do you want me to leave? Because I feel like sleeping here today."

"Eh? In my dorm room? But why—"

"Because I want to sleep with you. Now can I or are you going to kick me out again?"

Lillian's left eye twitched, "You were upset I kicked you out yesterday, weren't you?"

"Who knows..." Marionette rolled her eyes before getting up from the couch and holding her hand out to Lillian, who stared at her with a confused expression.

She then said:

"Grab my hand."

"... But why—"

"Grab my hand," Marionette repeated.

Lillian sighed and did as she said. She placed her hand against hers, feeling her fingers wrap around hers. Then suddenly, her body flew forward and into the air.

Marionette, who had pulled her off the couch, caught her in a princess carry before stating:

"We're taking this to the bedroom, though..."

Lillian blushed at her words. Did this woman not know what her words could seemingly imply?!

"E-eh!? You wanna sleep in the same bed as me?!"

Marionette, who had already made it to the entrance of the bedroom, gave a brief nod before turning down the handle and pushing inside. What she was met with was a pure-white haven of plushies, varying in sizes.

However, what they all had in common though, was that they were all rabbits. And they were strewn everywhere along the floor. It seemed like she didn't even bother picking them back up after waking.

Lillian scratched the back of her head sheepishly. "Hehe... sorry for the mess..."

Marionette shook her head, carefully stepping over them. "Not a problem." Before dropping Lillian and the bed. She then asked, "Is it possible I could use your bathroom?"

"Huh?" Lillian only realised Marionette was still in her uniform, while she was in her pyjamas. "Oh uh—sure."

Marionette nodded and walked back to the door. She then craned her head back and smiled at her, "Do wait for me." before leaving.

Lillian gave a shaky smile at her departure before burying her face in her palms, hiding her blush from no one. Later, Marionette returned to Lillian and sat in the centre of the bed, scrolling through her phone.

In the corner of her eyes, Lillian noticed a lock of black hair in front of her. Looking up, she realised Marionette was crawling onto the bed and at her.

She crawled back instinctively, watching as Marionette slowly approached her with a frown.

"Why are you backing away?" She asked.

Lillian stared at her with an uncertain look, "W-well... Is it just me or are you more forward with your actions compared to before?"

"I am? I think it's just your imagination, Lillian. There isn't any reason why my behaviour would change, after all." She quickly stated, leaving Lillian no room to interject before—

"W-woah!"

—Pulling her down and covering them with a blanket.

Soon enough—with the help of a slippery solid darkness—the light switch was flicked off.

Lillian didn't know why, but... she was feeling quite nervous. She looked beneath the blanket and at the arms wrapped around her chest, which... seemed to increase in tightness.

And...

Her eyes drifted downwards to see Marionette's face buried in the crevice of her neck, with a "twitching" nose.

After finding out Lillian wasn't too bothered by this, Marionette only went further into her neck.

Ah... she was stuck again... she still believed Marionette was acting weird. As for why? She still hasn't figured out.

She gave a short sigh. Before staring up at the ceiling. She soon closed her eyes and slept through the night, reaching the next day.
