I Will Survive Till The End: Blood Extermination Academy-Chapter 27: Boss Girl’s Ability
Chapter 27: Boss Girl's Ability
—And so it began.
Examination 3!
How many will survive in the end?
What awaited these brave, frightened and curious youths?
The answer was a mystery, none of them knew.
But... one thing was always certain:
—Death would always travel beside them.
.
.
"It's so freakin' hot an egg can fry off my shoulders."
The sun they were happy to see earlier, now caused fatigue to their existences.
"What a pain... So it's running again? Can't we have a minute to rest?"
"This more than sucks! Do these people think the human body is made up of 8 lungs running overtime?"
Many scowled.
Run this, run that.
Dizziness and lethargy washed over them in waves.
They were panting and moving sluggishly, barely 10 minutes in.
Every gulp of air was like a new punishment, filling their chests with acid and fire.
It was incredible that they hadn't even entered the forest yet, and their legs were already wobbly.
That's right, they were currently running through an in-between open space.
Behind them was the tunnel they came from, and far ahead, was the Forest.
Their chest rose and fell, after running 10 whole minutes and still not reaching the Forest yet.
Perhaps the most painful matter was the fact that this open clearing was riddled with hard rocks and stones everywhere their eyes felt.
To make matters worse, these rocks weren't large ones they could jump on, one by one.
Rather, the rocks were the size of baseballs. But unlike baseballs that were round and uniform, these ones were pointy, rough and uneven.
"AHH~ It hurts like hell! It got through my boots and into my foot!"
Hiss~
"Sucks to be you man, but I feel your pain. I think I'm losing my mind with all this bullshit. Isn't this torture on its own?"
"Hey, buddy... slow down already. Why the hell are you guys running so fast?"
Many cursed to the skies.

All this running on this jagged land, only added to their discomfort.
Suddenly, Bang!
A little monkey had actually tripped 2 people down.
Everyone's eyes throbbed, as they momentarily forgot the existence of the many pink-haired little monkeys mischievously jumping around.
Why so desperate?
No one understood why these monkeys pulled, slapped and attempted to get their attention by every means possible. However, it wasn't long before everyone's face turned ghostly.
"What the–"
One person fell after getting tripped.
Then the horror began.
Even Levon's eyes jumped when seeing the tripped person bundled and kidnapped by over 20 monkeys.
This... This...
What will they do with him?
There and then, one of the monkeys pushed her tail down, revealing a sharp scorpion-like stinger.
"Ahhhhh!!!~"
The boy screamed in dread, as terror chewed at his insides.
Hearing his screams, everyone had to admit it unlocked a new streak of fear in their hearts.
Terrible, these seemingly weak monkeys were all TERRIBLE.
"Help! Help! Help me, please~"
Several people lowered their faces, not daring to say a thing.
"YOU HYPOCRITES! You claim to be better than who brought us here, but aren't you all the same for seeing me like this and doing nothing?"
(Silence)
Many bit their lips, feeling their hearts pounding loudly in their ears.
No, they were nothing like those kidnappers.
If they were stronger, they would definitely rescue this guy... So his blood is NOT on their hands.
"Is he–"
None of them dared to ask.
.
.
'How odd...' Levon frowned, briefly threw his head one last time behind his shoulders. 'It seems–'
"Looks to me like they can only attack if their prey is stationary." Card girl interrupted his thoughts.
Yimu looked at her pretty nails while running.
Just now, so many monkeys had to hold down the weakling for one monkey to make its move.
This proved they don't can't kill moving prey... only stationary victims.
"It's indeed worthless," Rita, the Pickler, added.
Huh.
Rita twisted the toothpick in her mouth in disgust.
What's the point of having such a deadly weapon as a tail if you can't use it on a moving target?
Indeed, it seems like a big a waste.
"You two shut up!!" One of the crying girls in the group lashed out. "Someone just died and you're here talking about the monkeys instead?"
The girl's voice had raised several octaves high, startling the birds around them.
"Beasts! That's what you 2 are!"
What was she trying to do? Act like a saint? Levon rolled his eyes heavenwards. It's people like this who really tick him off.
The saintly girl went on:
"He just died and you guys can't even show some respect? What happened to human empathy? What happened to being kind to–"
Ahhhh!~
Everything happened too fast.
The girl found herself face flat on the ground, already attacked by countless monkeys now swarming around her. And before she knew it, she too was being carried away, watching the group slowly disappearing from her grasp.
Her saintly expression had now changed into a maddened Cruella's.
But what happened? How could she suddenly trip and bang her head on rocks?
After getting flipped over by the crazy monkeys, her eyes fell on her ankles.
"Toothpicks?"
There were 3 toothpicks deeply rooted on her right leg.
How could she not feel any pain or even notice when the toothpicks pierce through her flesh?
Who did...
"IT'S YOU!"
The girl's confusion cleared up in an instant, especially after hearing a familiar voice echoed in the distance.
"How's that for human empathy?"
You think she was called Pickler for nothing?
Rita didn't shy from acknowledgement.
Epiphany was such an insidious tool.
Rita knew one fact that always proved accurate.
Who decides what to be emphatic about?—The strong.
Since the dawn of time, only those on top decide who gets sympathy and who doesn't.
The narrative can be spun in any way the strong liked.
.
.
Fufufufufu~
"I've decided to be emphatic to that boy... by letting you accompany him. Look, am I not empathetic now?"
"YOU—"
The girl's eyes spewed with murderous intent and deep regret.
Why couldn't she just keep her big mouth shut?
This was the first time she knew how dangerous these girls were.
Unfortunately, she realized it all a bit too late.
When she woke up in this hellhole, she wasn't in the same room Levon and the other woke up in, so she didn't know about Yimu using her card to slice someone's mouth wide open.
If she had known, she would never go against these LUNATICS!
"Ahhhhhhhhhhh~"
Her wails echoed across the space, masking the stream of laughter from Yimu and Rita.
What about righteousness? Don't you love to act like a Holy Mother?
Then stay there and accompany that boy in his dying moments.
"Eh? What's going on?"
Floriana just woke up, looking around the place in confusion.
"_" [Everyone else]
Never in their lives have they seen someone sleep while running, avoiding attempts from the monkeys to trip her over.
Forget about the monkeys, how are you not tripping over the many jagged rocks?
Many who didn't know a thing about Floriana, frowned in confusion.
What's up with this girl, why was she always sleeping?
Yimu and Pickler grinned innocently.
"Nothing Boss. You just go right back to sleep."
"Yeah, Boss. It's nothing but an annoying stray dog, barking without teeth."
"Eh? What dog?"
The perplexed Floriana looked around, scratching her head.
"Gone, Boss."
"Oh." Floriana nodded.
Well, she didn't feel sleepy anymore. She'll stay awake for now.
But weren't they in...
Eh?
Floriana's eyes widened.
She was momentarily stunned by her surroundings, realizing they were no longer in the dark tunnels.
She tilted her head at Yimu and Rita for answers
"Where are we?"
