Josh said, "When the noise outside wakes Fuer, she’ll come out to check the situation. We can figure out a way to stall her, then find someone to risk going into her room to search; there should be clues there."

Josh curled up tightly under the bed, watching as the door opened and a pair of red high heels appeared in her view.

Josh held her breath, watching the situation at the door.

The door was closed again.

Fuer put down her whip and lay back on the bed.

Fuer turned off the light, plunging the room back into darkness.

Only then did Josh notice a faint blue light emanating from behind her.

Lying flat, she turned her head, meeting a pair of eyes.

Josh almost gasped out loud—there was another person under the bed!

More accurately, it was a girl, with pigtails, wearing a flouncy dress, a serene smile on her face, but her body was covered in bluish bruises.

Josh quickly pushed her away and crawled out from under the bed.

The little girl quickly grabbed her again, pulling off the blue gemstone from her neck and stuffing it into Josh’s pocket, "Sister..."

Understanding the girl’s gaze, Josh bit her lip, squatting down, "Come out, I’ll take you with me."

The little girl smiled and shook her head, "You should go quickly, don’t let my sister find out~"

Without hesitation, Josh turned and left.

Her hand on the doorknob, a flash of blue light from her pocket opened the lock.

Fuer hadn’t returned yet.
