Immortal in Horror Game: She is the Fortune Teller!-Chapter 252 - 248: Bloody Castle 29 (Bonus)
Yuze stopped his movement and turned to look toward the cage.
Josh looked pained, his face pale to the point of being frightening, as if he shared the monster’s agony.
The monster suddenly burst into laughter, clutching its wounded eye, letting black blood flow onto the ground: "Come on! Kill me! If you kill me, she will die too! I said, I want her to stay with me!"
Rob glared at him furiously: "You despicable, filthy monster!"
Yuze turned to look at Josh, then at the cage.
The golden cage was casually wrapped in black thorns, with scarlet roses dotting it.
Josh lay in the middle, like a fragile newborn, her face contorted with pain that would make anyone feel sorry for her.
Yuze quickly calmed down.
Since it’s a monster in the dungeon, there must be a way to solve it.
The monster discreetly moved its body, trying to escape.
Yuze turned and stared fiercely at the monster, his gaze falling on the gemstone necklace around its neck.
He squinted his eyes and saw a faint glow flickering in the center of the gemstone.
Without hesitation, he rushed forward, and with a swift motion, his blade caught the necklace on the monster’s neck.
The monster’s pupils contracted, not expecting to be exposed so quickly, and it reached out with its remaining hand to protect the necklace.
Yuze struck down hard, severing the necklace along with its other arm.
With a clinking sound, the painful expression on Josh’s face quickly eased.
"It’s done! Josh is okay!" Rob shouted excitedly.
Yuze didn’t wait for the monster to counterattack, swiftly cut off its head, and took the key it wore around its neck.
The group saw Yuze panting heavily, covered in blood, and all breathed a sigh of relief; it had been a long time since they’d seen their captain so fierce.
Thankfully they won, because if they hadn’t, they couldn’t imagine what crazier things Yuze might do.
Yuze used the key to open the door of the cage and bent down to pick up Josh.
"Hmm?" He suddenly looked down at the person in his arms.
Jiang Can: "What’s wrong, Captain?"
Yuze furrowed his brow slightly; they had paired before, and he could sense Josh’s spiritual power and Spiritual Body aura, but... something felt strange.
Josh remained unconscious, showing no signs of waking.
Rob came over and touched Josh’s forehead: "Still has a fever, should we head back quickly?"
Upon hearing this, Yuze didn’t hesitate anymore and nodded: "Let’s go."
Yushi: "Wait, Little Tactician..."
Yuze looked at him.
Yushi: "Do you have the key?"
Rob waved his hand: "Yes, yes, she’s the quickest to攻略 the head chef among us, surely she has the key."
Yuze took the last key that opened the golden cage and exited the game with the team. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Logout Room.
Yuze kicked open the door, holding Josh to find the team physician.
Rob, Yushi, and a few others quickly followed behind.
"Captain! Wait for us!"
Josh was sent to the team physician’s infirmary.
The team physician, seeing Josh’s pallor, roughly understood what it was.
She skillfully took out a thermometer: "Put her on the bed."
"39.6 degrees, needs an IV drip, step aside for a moment." The female team physician called someone to assist.
The group busily ran back and forth preparing the IV solution, quickly setting Josh up with a drip.
Seeing Yuze looking anxious yet not daring to disturb them, the team physician couldn’t help but laugh playfully: "It’s the first time I’ve seen you this uneasy; having a girl on the team really does make a difference!"
Yuze only asked with concern: "How is she?"
Team Physician: "Don’t worry, it’s nothing serious, just prolonged high fever and unconsciousness; a few bags of fluid will wake her."
Yuze finally relaxed a little and nodded.
He looked at his teammates: "You guys go rest first, I’ll stay here to accompany her."
Rob: "I’ll switch with you tomorrow."
Yuze nodded.
Josh lay on the bed quietly, her face pale to the point of being nearly translucent, like a lifeless, delicate porcelain doll.
Only the slight sound of her breathing proved she was still alive.
*
"Lidya, come over here, quickly!"
Josh slowly opened her eyes; the dazzling light made her momentarily dazed.
She stood by the sea, the sky ablaze with vibrant sunset colors, the entire coast bathed in gold, with waves of salty sea breeze carrying the warmth of the setting sun.
A hand extended beside her.
"Don’t be afraid, hold on to me." The man’s voice had a hint of amusement.
The deep voice was irresistibly pleasing.
Josh followed the sound, looking over at the man’s face.
She instinctively parted her lips: "Thank you, Prince Sisi."
Sisi smiled, a bit childishly: "If you want to thank me, can you give me a kiss?"
She felt a bit lost, her mind suddenly filled with memories of how she and Sisi met.
Sisi was a prince of a kingdom, while she was just a fisherman’s daughter.
The prince’s ship was capsized by the waves, and he washed ashore here, saved by her.
Since they were the same age, they quickly became familiar with each other.
The prince suddenly burst into laughter: "Lidya, look at yourself now, you look like a little fool. I was teasing you!"
Josh secretly sighed in relief but felt inexplicably disappointed, annoyed at her own earlier anticipation and Sisi’s frivolity, wondering how he could use such intimate matters to test her.
Sisi laughed, picking up a shell and handing it to her: "Alright, Lidya, don’t be mad, this is for you."
In her palm lay a purple shell, its base shimmering in light shades of pink, blue, and purple, the colors enchantingly dreamlike.
"What a beautiful shell!" Josh marveled at the object in her hand.
She glanced at Sisi beside her, her cheeks secretly tinged with red as his fingertips brushed her palm; they always seemed so intimately close.
The sea breeze lifted her dress and long hair, occasionally brushing against his arms and calves.
The two, each with their own thoughts, strolled from the sunset coast to the starry sky above.
Josh looked at him: "When will you go back?"
Sisi shook his head: "Not going back."
Joy flashed in Josh’s eyes, which soon dimmed: "You’re a prince; how can you not go back?"
Sisi thought for a moment: "Well, I’ll wait until they find me before going back. Until then, this is my vacation."
Josh’s eyes darkened: "Then you’ll leave no matter what, and one day we’ll have to part."
Sisi looked at her strangely: "Why do we have to part? Won’t you go back to the palace with me?"
Josh was slightly stunned: "You’ll take me back to the palace?"
Sisi took her hand: "Of course!"
He bent slightly, his deep-set eyes brimming with tender emotions, looking at her with an intense and almost aggressive gaze: "Lidya, you’ll always belong to me, won’t you?"
Josh couldn’t withstand his intense gaze; his words inexplicably felt off, but her body instinctively nodded: "Yes, I will always belong to you."
Sisi smiled contentedly, kissed her forehead: "Don’t be afraid, I’ll protect you; by my side, you only need to be happy, just like you are here."
Josh met his gaze and nodded: "Okay!"
