Central Region.

Imperial Capital.

Inside the outer ring, disciples from the evil sects patrolled the streets with solemn expressions.

Their faces lacked their usual proud glares. A thick, suffocating tension wrapped their bodies like a second skin.

Everything had been going smoothly for their sects, and the imperial capital seemed on the brink of conquest.

But a few days ago, everything changed. Disciples from the ancient forces and smaller factions began to push them back.

What had once been a one-sided battle had become a struggle for life and death.

They had been the ones who did the killing, but now they were the ones being killed.

Every day, thousands of their fellow brothers died at the deadly blades of the righteous force.

"Young Master, what do you think is happening with the ancient clans?" a beautiful young woman asked, staring at the handsome young man who led their group.

Feeling the eyes upon him, the Young Master cleared his throat with a smug expression.

"I heard from my father that the ancient clans are wielding a powerful artifact for their disciples." He explained.

That was the extent of what he managed to learn from his father, but it was enough to satisfy his curious followers.

"A powerful artifact? How is that possible?" she muttered, her face filled with doubt.

There are thousands of disciples in the righteous force. How could they all possess powerful artifacts?

"Do not underestimate these ancient forces. There are many legendary artifacts beyond your imagination," he said seriously and prepared to resume their patrol.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Ahhh! Ahhhh! Ahhh!

From the end of the street, a team from the Lotus Sword Sect appeared. Among them stood a disciple wielding a powerful bow.

Each shot from her found its mark.

"Enemies! We're under attack!"

The evil cultivators screamed, their faces a blend of rage and uneasy fear.

News of the righteous sect's swift assault on the evil cultivators was fresh in their minds.

Now they faced the strongest sect among the righteous forces.

"Kill!"

The evil cultivators' Young Master brandished his blood-stained sword toward the Lotus Sword Sect disciples.

The two sides lunged at each other, each unleashing their strongest moves.

Disciples from the Lotus Sword Sect were fearless, clad in Stoneheart Armor.

Swiftly, their cultivation rose by three levels, shocking the evil cultivators.

"How is this possible?"

Ahhhh! Ahhhh!

"My hand… my hand!" a girl cried, her face pale with shock and pain as she stared at her severed hand.

Though she might be an evil cultivator, she had never felt such gruesome pain before.

She had been the tormentor, but now fear and panic gripped her heart. She was not ready to die.

She retreated frantically from the boy before her. "Young Master, please save me…" she screamed.

Ahhhhh!

She had barely taken two steps when an arrow lodged deep into her throat.

Thud!

She fell to the ground, her face a mask of unwillingness.

As for the evil sect's Young Master, his situation was dire. He was surrounded by two Lotus Sword Sect disciples as he struggled desperately.

Ahhh!

A deep sword gash appeared on his back, blood gushing out like a broken dam. He screamed, his face a portrait of fear.

He swung his sword wildly, invoking the Evil Blood Technique of his clan.

Previously, this technique would have given him an overwhelming advantage against his enemies; their blood would churn, resisting their will.

But now the evil blood technique was ineffective.

Ahhhh!

Another deadly cut appeared on his chest. His face contorted in shock and confusion.

"Why is it not working?!" he screamed.

The two Lotus Sword Sect disciples sneered and moved in for the kill.

Slash! Slash!

The Young Master collapsed into a pool of his own blood. Until his last breath, he could not understand why his clan's hidden technique had failed.

"Ahh! I never believed there would come a day when we could kill the evil cultivators this easily," a boy muttered, his face alight with satisfaction.

"Hahaha. Thanks to this special artifact," another replied.

"Enough. This is far from completing today's mission," a girl with a bow said in a cold voice.

"Let's depart."

In various parts of the outer ring, battles raged on with unrestrained intensity.

The righteous force had been passive against the deadly evil techniques of the evil sect.

But now they did not have to fear.

Even when they encountered vengeful spirits, they could easily kill them.

….

Inside the Ancient Zhou clan, a tense atmosphere permeated the air.

The Zhou Clan Master wore an ugly expression. He looked at the Silver Wei Sect Master and asked, "Have you found a way against the Stoneheart Armor?"

The Silver Wei Sect Master shook his head. "We have not. All the Artifact Masters say it is unlike anything they've ever seen."

"Useless people." The Zhou clan master slammed the teacup before him and threw it against the wall.

"This is not the time to get emotional. We need to find where they are getting the artifact and stop it before it is too late," the Wu clan leader said calmly.

"Do you think we haven't tried that?" the Zhou clan master retorted. "Those damn bastards keep everything to themselves."

"I don't believe they can keep the secret forever. We just need to find the people responsible for it."

"How?"

The Wu clan master was quiet for a moment.

Even though he knew they had to locate the source of the strange artifact, he knew it would not be easy.

"I don't know…" He shook his head.

"Since you don't know, why do you suggest it in the first place?"

The Zhou clan master's face darkened. This was their only chance to leave the curse continent, and yet.

Their decades-long plan was falling apart before their eyes.

"I suggest we meet with the evil sect and plan together. This is not our only problem." The Silver Sect Master suggested.

"You're right…"

"Let's depart immediately."

Without hesitation, the three leaders rushed toward the evil sect's direction.

Unbeknownst to them, the evil sect's powerhouses were facing a much bigger problem.
