Immortality Starts From Making Money.-Chapter 341: Mo Jian Determination.
Seated under a pavilion, Mo Jian was having a pleasant conversation with three ancestors.
"Kid, you really surprised me," Broken Blade said, taking a sip from his spirit tea.
"A nineteen-year-old Golden Core Expert. I wouldn’t have believed it if I had not seen it with my own eyes," the Lotus Sword Sect ancestor added with genuine shock.
Although the Qiu First Ancestor did not speak, the pride on his face could hardly be more obvious.
"Senior, this is nothing. I believe that if we manage to leave the continent, there might be people younger than me in their realm," Mo Jian said calmly.
Because he became a Golden Core Expert at such a young age, it did not cloud his critical thinking. The world is big.
And from what they knew, their continent was nothing but a backward region in their world.
He might be called a monster now, but when they entered the bigger world, his talent might mean nothing.
Though he knew that was close to impossible.
With the system, he could always upgrade his talent.
Thus, he wasn’t worried at all that he might lose his edge.
"You might be right, but I believe that your talent is something that everyone would recognize," the Lotus Sword Sect ancestor said after some thought.
No matter how he thought about it, a nineteen-year-old Golden Core was not something that could easily be achieved even in a more complete world.
"Senior, I know you did come here to praise me for my talent. Right?" Mo Jian asked, dragging the topic.
"You’re right." The Qiu clan’s First Ancestor nodded, and his expression turned serious. "At the Barren Land, we’ve encountered a major threat."
The plan to explore the Northern Region Barren Land had begun over six months ago. With the combined power of all the ancient clans, sects, and weaker influential clans,
the Barren Land exploration had been swift so far. They’d covered hundreds of thousands of miles.
With Mo Jian’s plan, the previous problem had been solved with little effort.
But as they went deeper into the barren land, the more terrifying the situation got.
Sometimes hundreds of Golden Core experts were needed to be deployed just to solve the problem.
Apart from that, the Barren Land atmosphere was brutal. The heat burned cultivators’ bones.
Without enough water, many would have died.
Mo Jian knew all this but was not concerned. This was the price that needed to be paid. Leaving the continent wouldn’t be easy, and everyone knows that.
"What threat?" he asked.
"First, the barren land environment is getting harsher with each passing day. Core Refining Warriors can barely withstand it. Also, there are deadly poisonous insects," the Lotus Sword Sect ancestor said in a grave voice.
"Second, and the most important thing: we’ve discovered an Early Tier-4 Beast."
Silence.
For a moment, no one spoke.
The Tier-4 Beast was a serious threat. They’d barely touched the core of the barren land, and they’d encountered such a terrifying beast.
Previously, they would have tried to kill the beast and continue the exploration. But now, they wanted to hear Mo Jian’s thoughts.
"I suggest you have a dialogue with the beast," Mo Jian said after some thought.
This is just the first threat, and who knows how many terrifying beasts lie at the core of the barren land.
They need to be careful and not appear hostile to the beasts.
Since a Tier-4 beast had gained intelligence and could speak human languages, why not use this to their advantage?
"You want us to speak with the beast?" Broken Blade widened his eyes, not expecting such a response from him.
"Yes," Mo Jian nodded. His face was full of seriousness.
"I believe you know the barren land will not only have this beast. I believe there will be a Peak Tier-4 beast at the center," he continued with the same seriousness.
"Right now, we need an alliance, not enemies. You all know we can’t afford enemies right now."
The atmosphere under the pavilion was somewhat grave. Three powerhouses were lost in thought.
Mo Jian looked at them but did not disturb their thoughts. He took a sip from his spirit tea.
Just then, the Qiu clan’s First Ancestor broke the silence. "What if the beast does not agree to form an alliance?"
"We kill it," Mo Jian said decisively. "Just because we want to have a dialogue with them does not mean we will be lenient."
"When we need to be forceful, we need to be. But first, we need to show the beast race that we’re on the same side," he concluded.
"So what if we manage to convince the first beast? What about second, third, and fourth, and so on," the Lotus Sword Sect ancestor asked in a grave voice.
"Senior, we don’t have to worry about that for now. Let’s see how this beast reacts first," Mo Jian said, his voice filled with confidence.
The three seniors looked at each other and nodded.
"Since you brought this suggestion, why don’t you help us in the negotiation?"
Mo Jian shook his head. "I’m too weak. We need a senior to show a bit of strength."
"Alright. We will do as you suggest," the Lotus Sword Sect ancestor nodded.
After a few minutes, the three seniors departed to relay the news to the others.
Left alone, Mo Jian rose from his seat and looked in a particular direction.
"I guess it is time," he muttered.
Before the continent powerhouses planned to explore the Barren Land, he had already explored the Never Ending Forest.
Without the Snake Queen obstructing their path, they would have delved deeper into the Never-Ending Forest.
Still...
Creak!
The door to the courtyard was pushed open, and Old Withered Man and Lonely Spear entered.
"Young master, the preparation is complete," the Old Withered Man said respectfully.
"Good." He nodded. "Let’s go."
He walked out of the courtyard with slow, measured steps. If anyone were to know where he was going and what he wanted to do, many would have tried to stop him.
