Immortality Starts From Making Money.-Chapter 381: Activating the Spirit Link Network.
While most people in the city were focused on the highly anticipated match between the Fu Clan and the Red Serpent Gang, something far more important was quietly unfolding elsewhere.
An ordinary-looking carriage slowly made its way into the inner city.
Compared to the bustling chaos of the outer districts, the inner city was far quieter.
The roads were wider, the buildings more refined, and the air carried a noticeably purer flow of spiritual energy.
Seated on the coachman’s bench was the Old Withered Man, calmly guiding the carriage along the smooth stone road.
His posture was relaxed, yet his sharp eyes remained alert as he directed the carriage toward the eastern district of the inner city.
Unlike the outer city where people of all backgrounds lived and worked side by side the inner city strictly observed social hierarchy.
The northern district was reserved for the most powerful clans, those whose ancestors possessed overwhelming cultivation strength.
Only families with immense martial power could establish themselves there.
The eastern district, on the other hand, belonged to the wealthy merchant clans and influential trading families.
These groups might not possess the strongest cultivators, but their financial influence was enormous.
The western district housed artisans and craftsmen, artifact refiners, rune masters, alchemists, and other skilled professionals.
Finally, the southern district was occupied by the city’s middle class—families with modest cultivation backgrounds and reasonable wealth.
Among these districts, everyone knew that the northern district was the most prestigious and powerful.
Entry into that area required an official invitation.
Over the years, countless wealthy merchants had attempted to purchase land in the northern district, hoping to elevate their status.
Yet every attempt had ended in failure.
The rule was simple.
To own property in the northern district, one had to possess overwhelming strength to support it.
Without such power, wealth alone was meaningless.
Soon, the seemingly ordinary carriage arrived in the eastern district and stopped in front of a massive estate.
The estate stood at the far end of the district and was easily one of the largest properties in the entire area. When the carriage came to a halt, Mo Jian stepped down first.
He looked around quietly, observing the surroundings for a brief moment before nodding slightly in approval.
Behind him, Broken Blade and Elder Bai Delan also stepped down from the carriage.
Both men silently examined the environment.
The spiritual energy here was significantly denser than that of the outer city. For ordinary cultivators, it would already be considered an excellent place to practice cultivation.
However, to experts like them, it was nothing remarkable.
Without hesitation, the three men walked toward the estate’s main gate.
Standing there was a familiar figure.
Lonely Spear.
The moment he saw Mo Jian approach, he immediately bowed respectfully.
"Young Master, welcome."
Mo Jian nodded and stepped inside the estate.
Once they passed through the gate, the scenery inside revealed itself.
The estate was enormous so large that it resembled a small town rather than a single residence.
Rare spiritual trees grew in carefully maintained groves throughout the grounds. Their leaves shimmered faintly with spiritual energy.
To the left, a spacious enclosure housed several tamed spiritual beasts quietly resting under the shade of large trees.
A cobblestone path extended deeper into the estate, lined on both sides by elegant villas and courtyards.
However, Mo Jian and his companions paid little attention to these luxurious buildings.
Their destination lay much deeper within the estate.
After walking for several minutes, they reached the rear section of the property.
Unlike the front areas, this part of the estate appeared almost completely abandoned.
Tall trees grew densely together, and wild grass covered most of the ground.
The narrow stone path that once passed through this area had nearly disappeared beneath the overgrown vegetation.
Mo Jian stopped briefly and turned to Broken Blade.
"Senior, I will leave the security of this area to you."
Broken Blade nodded firmly.
"Young Master, you may rest assured."
Satisfied, Mo Jian continued forward along the narrow path.
Elder Bai Delan followed closely behind him, his expression unusually serious.
Soon, the two men arrived before a small hill covered in thick vines.
Without hesitation, they stepped forward and entered it.
What appeared to be an ordinary hill was actually protected by a powerful Tier-4 Array Formations.
Among these formations was an advanced illusion array designed to conceal the entrance completely from outsiders.
Once they passed through the formation, the hidden interior was revealed.
Inside the concealed space stood an elderly man waiting patiently.
Senior Qiu.
The moment he saw Mo Jian and Elder Bai arrive, a wide smile appeared on his face.
"I thought you might not make it today," Senior Qiu said with a light chuckle.
"Of course I would come," Mo Jian replied with a calm smile. "Is everything prepared?"
"Everything is ready," Senior Qiu answered.
"Good."
Mo Jian nodded and immediately walked toward a tunnel carved into the rock.
The tunnel was clearly man-made and sloped downward, deeper into the ground.
For several minutes, they continued descending deeper and deeper underground.
Soon they were more than a hundred meters below the surface.
Yet the tunnel continued.
By the time they reached five hundred meters underground, the passage finally ended.
Standing before them was a massive stone door.
The door was covered in countless intricate runes, each glowing faintly with spiritual energy.
Mo Jian placed his palm on the door and sent a stream of spiritual energy into it.
With a deep rumbling sound, the enormous stone door slowly slid open.
Inside lay an enormous underground chamber.
The chamber was roughly the size of a football field.
Moon Orb lanterns hung along the stone walls, bathing the entire cavern in soft, steady light.
But the true centerpiece stood at the center of the chamber.
A massive Obsidian Core Crystal, nearly five meters tall.
The crystal shimmered with a dark, mysterious glow, reflecting the lantern light across the cavern.
Elder Bai stared at it with wide eyes.
"I never imagined it would be this large..." he said in amazement.
Even Mo Jian had been surprised when he first saw it.
Compared to the Obsidian Core Crystals they had used back on their original continent, this one was on an entirely different scale.
And the most shocking part?
They had acquired it for a surprisingly low price.
Mo Jian quickly regained his composure.
"Elder Bai," he said seriously, "let us begin."
"Yes, Young Master."
Mo Jian reached into his storage pouch and removed a small Obsidian Core Crystal. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Before leaving their previous continent, he had already prepared everything.
Instead of constructing a Spirit Link network from scratch, he had copied and stored the entire network structure within this smaller crystal.
All that remained now was to transfer that data into the massive one.
While Mo Jian carefully transferred the network information, Elder Bai began inscribing complex runes across the surface of the giant crystal.
Without these runes, the crystal would be nothing more than a useless crystal.
For the next four hours, the two men worked with complete concentration.
Mo Jian optimized many of the original runic structures while also adding additional layers of security runes.
Elder Bai handled the structural inscriptions while Mo Jian refined the system architecture.
Once the runes were complete, they moved on to constructing the supporting array formations.
The previously simple underground chamber gradually transformed.
By the time they finished, the chamber was covered in dense layers of runic arrays and protective formations.
Finally, Mo Jian stepped back and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"Finally... it’s done."
Elder Bai nodded with excitement.
"Thank you, Young Master. I have gained many valuable insights during this project."
He knew Mo Jian was fully capable of completing the entire task alone.
Yet he had still chosen to bring Elder Bai along.
That decision alone demonstrated immense trust.
Mo Jian smiled faintly.
"Not only you," he replied. "I also learned a great deal during this process."
He turned toward the crystal.
"Now... let us activate it."
Mo Jian bit his finger and allowed a drop of blood to fall onto the Obsidian Core Crystal.
The moment the blood touched its surface, the crystal trembled.
A low humming sound began to resonate through the chamber.
Next, Mo Jian extended a thread of his consciousness into the crystal while quietly reciting a sequence of encrypted activation codes.
When the final code was completed, a brilliant yellow light burst from the crystal.
Every rune carved across its surface suddenly came alive.
Seeing this, Elder Bai’s face lit up with joy.
"Young Master... I believe we succeeded."
Mo Jian smiled as well.
"Indeed."
He took out his Spirit Link device and looked at the signal indicator.
The network bar was completely full.
Without hesitation, he sent out the very first broadcast message.
"We are back."
"All Spirit Links are now active."
