Imperial Treasure-Chapter 1035 - 618: Heaven, Earth, Dark, and Yellow (Part 2)
Ling Zhigao looked up at Du Fuwei, "Lord Du, you’re joking. Today, the two of us are just here to watch the excitement. As for this fat piece of meat in Yangzhou, someone else will enjoy it."
This remark was quite blunt, and Du Fuwei’s subordinates were filled with murderous intent.
Suddenly, "Oh, everyone, we’re all guests at Baonong Hall, so let’s not start fighting. All who come are guests, right?"
The one mediating the situation was someone from Baonong Hall. What surprised Sui Yi was that whether it was Du Fuwei, Yuchi Sheng, or the people from the Sea Sand Gang, all ceased to entangle further and exchanged glances, acting as if nothing had happened.
However, just as Sui Yi lowered her head to drink tea, she overheard Ling Zhigao and the plump assassin You Gui using Inner Strength to transmit their voices in the corner.
"The Giant Leviathan Gang’s people are stationed here?"
"No doubt, according to the information we gathered, Yun Yuzhen quietly left the gang with a few people and came to Yangzhou to participate in the Treasure Playing Convention. We’re just not sure what this convention involves to garner such attention from the gang leader..."
"Perhaps it’s because of the host of Baonong Hall having great influence."
"Indeed, the master of Baonong Hall is unfathomable, crossing both black and white paths. Even our gang leader must give face, I suppose it’s the same for people like Du Fuwei."
The two stopped talking after this.
Sui Yi gently caressed her teacup with her fingers, her gaze sweeping over the Baonong Hall Steward who was engaging in pleasantries with many guests.
Two nights ago, she had infiltrated this Baonong Hall, searched almost every corner, yet couldn’t find the mobile phone, concluding that they hid it elsewhere. Previously it wasn’t mentioned that the Treasure Playing Convention would be at the Wind Moon House. Could it be where the treasure was previously hidden was the Wind Moon House? Fearing someone might seize the opportunity to steal the treasure, it was deliberately notified at the last moment?
If that’s the case.....
Sui Yi subtly extended her Magnetic Sensation upward.
Her Magnetic Sensation could now extend a hundred meters away from her body, and this ten-meter Wind Moon House was no challenge.
The third floor was where Du Fuwei and his men were located, and they showed no reaction to Sui Yi’s Magnetic Sensation.
The fourth floor was completely empty, utterly desolate.
It seemed the Central Plains had an aversion to the number four as it was considered unlucky, so many floors marked with four were vacant. Though wasteful, that’s just the way of the nation, even in modern times.
The fourth floor had nothing, only partitions of walls. Sui Yi frowned and directed her Magnetic Sensation upward...
Just reached the fifth floor. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
The Magnetic Sensation drifted over the seated people...
There were very few seated.
Most stood, those standing were attendants and guards. Only four were seated.
The four compartments were separated; perhaps they didn’t even know who the others were.
Heaven, Earth, Xuan, and Yellow compartments.
The Yellow Character Room housed a veiled young woman, identified as young due to her light frame, elegant hairstyle, and maiden’s attire. However, her icy blue gown was of exceedingly high quality, entirely made of silk, clinging to her like flowing water.
She wasn’t accompanied by many guards, just a pretty maid and an ordinary middle-aged man.
The Xuan Number Room housed a young man in his twenties, with thick brows and big eyes, yet his features were distinct and somewhat handsome.
He was accompanied by two fierce-looking individuals.
The Earth Number Room had a middle-aged man, alone without any company.
The Sky Number Room had several cold-faced, stern men standing tall.
Military men?
Sui Yi’s gaze flitted across, resting on the composed seated man.
An unfamiliar face, but those eyes...
Sui Yi hadn’t seen through that woman’s veil before—not that she wanted to, nor did she think it necessary—but this man... those eyes exposed his identity.
"Yuwen Huaji"
Sui Yi pondered just as she thought.
Suddenly, the middle-aged man in the Yellow Character Room turned his gaze toward the Sky Number Room.
His gaze was deep.
"What’s wrong?" The lady’s voice was captivating, tender and soft, yet clear and cold, exuding an aura of a noble clan lady, poised and dignified. Upon her question, the middle-aged man lowered his head, murmuring softly, "There’s a strange feeling, as if someone is spying on us."
"Spying?" The lady pondered, then smiled faintly: "If such a person exists, there’s no preventing them~ let them be~"
"Yes"
Sui Yi withdrew her Magnetic Sensation from these individuals, secretly noting that amid Heaven, Earth, Xuan, and Yellow, the most mysterious was the seemingly lowest Yellow Character Room.
That middle-aged man must be at Lesser Grandmaster Level, perhaps more formidable than someone like Wanwan.
Perhaps she wasn’t confident in handling this middle-aged man.
Sui Yi extended her Magnetic Sensation upward....
The sixth floor was bustling, with many treasures, like jade and ancient books...
She assumed they were waiting to be auctioned, but Sui Yi didn’t see any mobile phones.
As for the seventh floor...
Hmm?
Unable to enter?
Something was blocking the Magnetic Sensation from entering.
Was something inside?
A mobile phone? No, mobile phones don’t have such Special Ability.
Unless it’s... Cangwu, or... Statue of the Gods Fragment.
These were the only things that could give Sui Yi such a sensation so far.
Sui Yi’s eyes flashed as she withdrew her Magnetic Sensation.
It was also at this moment that someone from Baonong Hall struck the Bronze Bell.
"Everyone, thank you for coming to today’s Treasure Playing Convention. I am Yan Er, the Steward of Baonong Hall. I’m in charge of today’s treasure auction. There are nine auction items today, all priceless treasures. Please take a good look..."
And so the auction began.
The ninth item was a pair of life-sized porcelain vases, also with quite a history. Sui Yi didn’t think much about them, as she noticed two people mingling in the ordinary seating on the first floor.
With attendees arriving late or joining mid-session, this wasn’t unusual. What caught Sui Yi’s attention was that these two were Seo Ziling and Kou Zhong. (To be continued.
