Infinite Dimension Physique: Rise of The Lustful Devil-Chapter 256: Summoning!
With a slight shake of her head, she let out a sigh. She raised her hand, and in the next instant, the chatter and conversations died down.
"Sisters, I’m sorry to inform you that there still isn’t any news about Master and Yveline. Even Miranthu and Lucy are uncontactable at this moment," Azaria sighed and spoke in a gloomy expression. No matter how much she tried to hide it, the cracks in her expression were blatantly visible.
After all, it has been a month since he went, and there hasn’t been any news about him since. The last time they heard about him was from Ravia.
Closed-door cultivation? There was no way he would let Azaria handle all the burden. Something has happened, and Yveline’s disappearance was proof of that.
Hearing Azaria’s words, a gloomy atmosphere spread among the entire harem. Larae was almost on the verge of crying.
But the most affected among these girls was Vivianne. Her eyes were swollen from crying repeatedly. There were black circles beneath her eyes.
Yueshan looked worriedly; there was no way her old and poor heart could bear such a sight. Among the women, Ophelia was the calmest at this moment alongside Azaria. They knew this wasn’t the time to sit and cry.
An entire Empire was after their asses, and they couldn’t just sit around.
"Azaria, it seems Emperor Solvane has returned. This matter just got more complicated, with the Empress by his side. He is basically unstoppable...and I heard he had found something...out of this world."
Ophelia said, voicing her concerns. Indeed, the news of his obtaining some treasure had already reached her ears.
And she didn’t like this in the slightest; the variables were way too many. Hearing this, Azaria nodded.
"Ophelia... what about the Grand Elder of the Divine Sword Sect?" she asked, her voice sounding strained. After all, despite the strong front. Even she was confused at this moment about what to do.
They couldn’t directly launch an attack, nor could they just stay in one place and do nothing. It would be disastrous if they did nothing.
"My daughter, why are you worrying so much? We, too, have our own Grand Elder. Combined with the one in House Bloodforge and the Divine Sword Sect, there is no way they could even touch us."
Rhaevira spoke, her voice confident and arrogant at the same time.
All the heads turned towards her, even Azaria’s. "Mother, this time it isn’t the problem with numbers. They...are bringing something else entirely."
Azaria massaged her temples. If it was just them against the Empire...there was no way they would lose. With Ophelia and the other Grand Elders by their side, it was really possible to defeat the Empire’s forces .
...
In the royal continent of the Holy Sun Empire.
The cultivators of this capital were going with their usual work. Cultivating, training, and...cultivation.
But today, something unexpected happened. The entire sky of the capital was illuminated in Divine radiance.
From the castle as the center, the light was spreading far and wide.
Inside the castle...in a secret underground chamber. There was a stele at the centre.
The stele depicted a man—more specifically, a god.
In front of it, a man knelt. Repeatedly kowtowing his head. The Emperor’s forehead struck the ground below again and again. Each of his impacts echoed inside the underground chamber like a drum.
The Emperor’s eyes shone in madness as he looked at the stele in front of him. Surrounding him were ten Elders who shared their Emperor’s fanatic eyes.
"O Great Holy Sun...your most loyal servant calls upon you."
His voice trembled, but his eyes burned with madness, and his clenched fists slowly loosened up.
The Elders took a deep breath when they saw what this was...the entire room shone brilliantly. It was a piece of...sun.
For millennia, the Holy Sun Empire had worshipped the Holy Sun. Their faith, their power, and their prosperity—everything was from the being...or so all of the cultivators believed.
And today...he was no longer praying.
He was summoning...
The Emperor slowly raised both of his hands towards the stele, pointing the piece of Sun towards it.
The moment the aura of the piece of the sun fell on the stele. Golden energy surged out of his body like violent flames. It flooded the ancient monument in front of him.
"The Great Lord!!! Hear the call of your faithful follower."
Solvane spoke...his breathing turned faster and faster. The moment his words fell, the entire chamber—no, the Entire Holy Sun Continent began trembling.
The stele shone brighter and brighter; it was merely a firefly glow. Then...
BOOM!
A terrifying beam of Golden Radiance erupted from the stele, shooting straight at the heavens above them.
Above the capital, the entire sky turned so bright that it was outright blinding some weak mortals. The sun itself seemed to distort, and the cultivators within the capital froze in shock!
"W-What is happening!!?"
"That light...it seems familiar!"
"Have the gods finally graced us mortals with their presence?"
Inside the chamber, the Emperor’s body trembled violently as an otherworldly pressure descended.
From the endless brilliance...a tall figure stepped out!
Slowly and calmly, the figure walked forward.
At first, it was only a vague silhouette, but the moment it manifested. The entire chamber was filled with so much pressure that, aside from Solvane, everyone else had already passed away.
Solvane’s entire body shook the moment he saw this. "N-No way, that...that really worked!!"
Of course, he didn’t dare say that out loud; he just kept his head forced down.
After a few seconds, the being finally opened his mouth.
"This...mortal Plane. How many eons had it been since I had been summoned here?" The being spoke. Its mere voice sent shockwaves across the entire continent.
There was no face; it was a faceless white figure. The divine silhouette finally looked down coldly.
"Mortal...if I am not satisfied. The consequences will be...way beyond your comprehension."
It was emotionless and straight out cold. Hearing this, a drop of sweat dripped down Solvane’s face.
"L-Lord Holy Sun...there is a man inside this world that I’m sure you’ll be interested."
He said, pressing his head deeper and deeper. He, of course, didn’t summon this god on a whim; he had been preparing this for weeks already.
The moment his words echoed, a faint chuckle escaped the being’s mouth.
"Lord Holy Sun? Mortal...do not take the almighty’s name so easily. I’m merely his lowest apostle in the Expanse."
Solvane’s eyes lit up the moment he heard the being’s words; the sheer aura and strength the being was emitting were enough to label him as the strongest on the continent. Even stronger than the semi-alive ancestors in the coffers of the Holy Sun Empire.
Yet...
This terrifying being was merely the lowest apostle. His heart trembled at the mere thought. Coming to the mortal Plane and being summoned to the mortal Plane were two entirely different things.
And yes...to confirm his thoughts.
"My powers are too heavy for this fragile world...get me at least a million souls to sustain my existence."
The faceless apostle tilted his head slightly, as if the request he had just made was no more significant than asking for a cup of water.
Yet, the words ’a million souls’ echoed inside the chamber like thunder. Solvane’s pupils trembled for a brief moment.
A million.
Even for an empire of their scale...such a number wasn’t insignificant.
But the hesitation only lasted for a fraction of a second. In the next moment, an eerie excitement appeared in Solvane’s eyes.
He pressed his forehead deeper. "As you command...Holy Apostle"
His voice was filled with reverence, but beneath it lay something...something else.
The apostle raised his hand slightly. White light condensed above his palm like a miniature sun. The mere existence of it caused cracks to appear in the space. Despite being controlled, its output is perfect.
"This...use this. My avatar was not meant to fully descend into this plane," The apostle spoke calmly.
"The Laws of the Mortal Plane have suppressed almost all my strengths and abilities. This is the only thing I can give you at this moment."
The small sphere of the miniature white Sun trembled slightly. Solvane looked quietly, waiting for the being to speak further.
"Human, cultivator, demonic beasts...makes no difference. This sphere only has a single time attack, and the rest of its abilities are to store souls...their essence."
His faceless gaze shifted towards the walls, as if looking beyond the mere palace walls and into the countless walking-talking souls.
"Once the sacrifices are completed...My avatar shall stabilize. And then..."
"I will deal with the man you mentioned."
Saying that, he handed the mini sphere to Solvane. The moment it touched Solvane, endless energy filled his entire being. As flames—the ones that he had only ever dreamed. Rippled from his hands.
The being slowly turned around and stared at the stele.
The moment Solvane felt, his lips curled up ever so slightly. Without an ounce of hesitation, Solvane suddenly unleashed the sphere power... striking directly at the apostle’s back!!
