Chapter 103: The Wrathful Fire Dragon King

The flying boat ridden by them continued to hover near the Fire Dragon Clan Palace. The sky gate opened in that place, allowing Early Elder Nor’s flying boat to enter.

The fire dragon clan warrior’s gaze continued to be directed at the humans on the flying boat, not a pleasant look for Aiden. But Aiden didn’t care much about that. His purpose was to meet with the Fire Dragon King.

The flying boat stopped and rested on a sky dock. Nor turned around, inviting Aiden and the others to enter the palace.

This was Aiden’s first time setting foot in the Fire Dragon Clan Palace, he never thought he would actually arrive at this place voluntarily, of course his purpose was not to fight, but to negotiate to save Amber.

Aiden and the others were impressed with the Fire Dragon Clan Palace’s appearance. The red color and dragon ornaments were their dominant characteristics, decorating the pillars and walls of the palace along the hallway leading to the grand hall of the palace.

Nor occasionally explained that the Fire Dragon Clan Palace consisted of seven main floors, each floor having its own functions.

Although the floor number seemed small, the ceiling height of each floor reached 8-10 meters, very large for just a room. That made the size of the Fire Dragon Clan Palace very large.

"To get to the Grand Hall of the Palace, we have to go to the 3rd floor," Nor explained.

There was no elevator or lift, they had to walk up hundreds of stairs to get there. Joe was breathing heavily, complaining about the place occasionally. Aiden felt tired, but not significantly so. His mind was too busy thinking of proper answers to every question from the Fire Dragon King.

Their steps ended when they arrived at the third floor, seeing a large five-meter-high door guarded by four warriors at once.

"Does His Majesty have guests?" asked Nor, one of the warriors guarding the hall door nodded.

"He is receiving a guest envoy from the Viene Kingdom," the man replied, Nor cleared his throat.

"Very well. We’ll wait," Nor said.

Aiden and the others obeyed. They stood before the Grand Hall of the Palace while talking to each other. Nor explained that Princess Amber and Prince Azar were inside the hall. But Princess Amber’s situation was complicated.

"His Majesty the Fire Dragon King has placed a restraining spell on her. With it, Amber is not allowed to leave the palace," Nor replied.

"Is the restraining magic to prevent her from escaping?" asked Aiden, as Nor cleared his throat softly.

Not long after, the sound of an explosion occurred in the hall. The sound, which was loud enough, startled Aiden and the others. Nor just sighed, it seemed that the Fire Dragon King didn’t like the Viene Kingdom’s envoy.

BLAST!

The door to the hall violently opened, three envoys of the Viene Kingdom were thrown out with their bodies burning in the flames. They screamed in pain as they begged the Fire Dragon King for mercy.

"P-Please! Forgive us! We’ll try to talk to—"

"The Fire Dragon Clan will never be allied with any kingdom! Tell your stupid King!" someone shouted from inside the Palace Hall, his voice echoing out while being followed by the magic pressure on the three people.

’How powerful is the Fire Dragon King?’ asked Aiden, shocked.

"Leave before I kill you!" snapped the Fire Dragon King, dispelling the immortal flames attacking the three Viene Kingdom envoys’ bodies.

The Fire Dragon King’s attention was drawn to a white-haired woman. With his eye ability and magic aura detection, the woman was part of the Ice Dragon Clan.

"Someone from the Ice Dragon Clan?!" shouted a large and muscular man.

In a flash of red light, the man lunged forward to kill the woman. Aiden sensed the danger threatening Aurora.

Aiden brought out his spear of fire and light and stood directly before Aurora. The fist of the fire dragon hit Aiden’s spear, a small fight became inevitable.

Aurora and Rachel were shocked. Their faces turned angry as they brought up their magic.

’Damn it! He’s so strong!" Aiden said.

Aiden could see him clearly. The muscular man with the red furry coat he wore, he wasn’t wearing any armor, just a pair of skirted pants that covered his lower body. For his chest? He was proudly shirtless to show off his muscular build to everyone, especially his enemy.

"How dare you attack Aiden?!" shouted Aurora.

Amber was stunned, she got up from her seat on the throne with a shocked face, "A-Aiden?"

The king turned his head, seeing clearly that the two women were two dragons in human transformation. Both were from the Ice Dragon and Shadow Dragon Clans.

"How can rival clans work together?!" said the King, glaring at them, making them unable to move due to the magic pressure.

Nor walked forward, right beside the Fire Dragon King. The situation became very chaotic, the Fire Dragon King’s mood getting worse as a result of the Viene Kingdom’s envoy asking for an alliance. That made the Fire Dragon King’s anger also vented on Aiden.

Because his power was so great, Aiden couldn’t hold back any longer.

STAB!

Aiden’s body was pierced by the Fire Dragon King’s hand, right through his heart. The burly man’s hand pierced through Aiden’s chest and visibly grabbed Aiden’s heart, then crushed it in a single hold.

"Aaakh!"

"AIDEN!" cried Amber.

Seeing her daughter looking so sad, the Fire Dragon Clan Queen rushed forward to stop their fight. Aiden’s condition was doomed, his heart crushed in the Fire Dragon King’s hands.

"Stop it, Arthur!" insisted the woman, dressed in a graceful red dress.

She swung her hand sideways, releasing Aurora and Rachel from the Fire Dragon King’s magical pressure. Amber ran from her throne to arrive at the front of the hall, eager to see Aiden closer.

"Stop it, Father!" Amber shouted.

Arthur, the Fire Dragon King, heard their demand. He pulled his hand violently from Aiden’s body, creating a large hole in the young man’s left chest. Aiden fell limp and drenched in blood, his mouth still bleeding from the fatal wound he had suffered.

Aurora rushed over to Aiden, trying to heal him with all the skills she had. Occasionally, she glared at Arthur, full of anger and hatred.

"He came not to fight, but to fulfill your call! Don’t you have any brains?" Aurora scolded.

Arthur saw Aiden wounded and dying on the ground. Without apologizing, he waltzed back into the hall, his heart still filled with rage.

"If he can survive without a heart, then I’ll listen to him!" snapped the Fire Dragon King.

Unlike Arthur, the Fire Dragon Clan Queen was much softer than her husband. She stood beside Aiden, about to help him with her best healing magic. But she was stopped by Aurora.

"Take your hands and magic away from Aiden, you damn dragon clan!" Aurora shouted.

Leonora, Queen of the Fire Dragon Clan, listened to Aurora’s words. She couldn’t help much because Aiden’s heart, the core of life for a human, had been destroyed. He was already dead.

She returned to the hall with a sad face. If Amber’s words were true about Aiden, then it was unfortunate for them to have killed the Envoy Master.

Aurora tried her hardest, but there was no sign that Aiden’s body would regenerate. Rachel held Aurora’s hand, telling her to look at the beast taming pattern on Aiden’s hand.

The pattern was still there! That was a good sign that Aiden wasn’t dead.

"I knew it. He’s not the Envoy Master!" Arthur said firmly.

Aiden’s eyes opened slowly, he still felt the pain in his body. Aurora and Rachel smiled, wiping away their sad tears as they watched Aiden recover.

"Are you the one who can decide that?" Aiden asked softly.

Arthur and Leonora were taken aback, looking in disbelief at Aiden. Not only them, but Nor and the other elders in the hall also gasped.

"You?! How are you still alive?" Arthur snapped.

Aiden got up while being carried by Aurora, stepping inside with the blood from his body still dripping, wetting the hall floor.

With tired and limp eyes, Aiden raised his head and looked at Arthur firmly.

"That’s because ... the Goddess of Magical Astralis blessed me!"
