Infinite Dragon Beast: Taming Ice Dragons with SSS Ranked Talent-Chapter 126: Aiden’s Misfortune
Aiden refused!
He did not want to escort Allana’s group at all, especially after what that woman had done to him at the Hurd Family House.
It was better for Aiden to escort another group than Allana’s. About their safety? Aiden didn’t care at all!
In fact, he hoped Allana would be killed upon arriving at the Yixia border!
"I won’t, even if you kneel before me too, I won’t!" Aiden declared, rejecting Rose’s proposal.
"Listen, Aiden. I was really shocked to see your abilities yesterday, you’re much stronger than Allana," Rose explained.
"I’ll do anything to make you want to be Allana’s escort group," Rose said.
Aiden smiled. His feelings of anger from last night resurfaced. He raised his hand and brought out three fire arrows. That made Rose realize what Aiden wanted.
"If only by killing me you can forgive my daughter, then take my life," Rose whispered.
Again, the man sighed. He couldn’t kill Rose, not since she was innocent of this. Allana was entirely at fault and she would have to suffer the consequences of her deeds.
The young man deactivated his fire arrow magic again. He thanked Rose and Henry for explaining so many things to him, from the Yixia Border to the Knights or Mage guards.
Aiden and Helen left Henry’s study, stepping back into his room to meet Joe and the others. He was really annoyed that Rose had suggested this earlier, even though there had never been any intention from Aiden to group up with Allana.
"What’s your plan?" asked Helen, turning to look at Aiden.
"I’m going to return to the room and see how they’re doing. If they’ve recovered, maybe I’ll go to the city information bulletin to see what’s there," Aiden replied.
"The last time I saw them, they were still fast asleep," Helen replied.
"Right, maybe they’re quite tired from yesterday. So, I’ll wait until they wake up."
"Alright."
Three hours passed, Aurora and the others began to wake up. They opened their eyes, looking forward to see Aiden sitting on the sofa with Joe and Helen. When Aurora turned her head, Aiden also turned and smiled at her.
He got up and stepped closer, asking about their condition. Aurora smiled and said with certainty that she was fine. It was just that her energy was drained from the impact of the fight earlier.
Not only Aurora, but Amber and Rachel also responded the same way. The only way for them to recover was to eat nutritious food.
Helen would be more than willing to help them. She invited Aurora and the others to go to the family dining room, to eat with the others. Aurora certainly wouldn’t refuse.
Aiden nodded, letting them go to enjoy the meal. Even so, Aiden wasn’t really interested in eating. That made Aiden wait for them in the living room.
They continued to eat the food with gusto, incomparable to ordinary food. Waiting for about half an hour, they finally finished and came to Aiden in the living room.
There, Aiden was ready with his golden armor on. He also looked to the side, seeing Aurora and the others ready with their armor. They were completely ready to go to the center of the city, to see the information bulletin.
"Let’s go."
Aiden and his team members left the Reinhard Family residence. The distance from that place to the city center was about fifteen minutes, where he could see the location of the information bulletin.
Although it was not crowded with visitors, it was certainly a strategic place. Aiden arrived there and stopped his steps.
His eyes focused forward, seeing that there were several information pamphlets about the city’s information. However, there was only one pamphlet about group escort information.
Aiden picked up the pamphlet and looked at it clearly. It was an escort cooperation offer for the 17th Mage Group, Allana’s group.
"This group...."
"What’s wrong, Aiden?" asked Aurora.
"Nothing," said Aiden.
Aiden was in a real dilemma. He hadn’t expected the number of group escort flyers to be so low this afternoon. Rose and Henry had said earlier that there were a lot of group escort flyers here.
The man turned his head and cast his eyes around, there was nothing suspicious in the surrounding area. That meant there were other independent groups that had picked up other pamphlets.
’Do I really have to escort this group?’ Aiden asked.
’But if I don’t escort it, it’ll take even longer for me to arrive at the Yixia Borders.’
"Didn’t you say you were going to take on the mission of escorting another group, Aiden?" asked Aurora.
Quickly, Aurora picked up the pamphlet and read the details inside. To Aurora’s surprise, it was an escort request for the 17th mage group.
"This is the mage group. We can help them as a Magic Knight team," Aurora explained.
"She’s right. The sooner we go, the sooner we can meet the Reinhard family’s son," Amber explained. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
In the pamphlet, the meeting location was clearly written if there were any independent teams or adventurers who wanted to join. The location was near the city fountain, there were three mages standing by there waiting for the escort group to arrive.
"It’s nearby! Let’s go," Aurora explained, obeyed by the others.
"Wait, that’s—"
"It’s okay, Aiden. They’re just like us," Aurora interrupted, not knowing the truth behind the 17th Mage Group.
Aiden clicked his tongue. Like it or not, he had to go with them since he was part of the independent team. Aiden hoped Allana wouldn’t show her aggressive attitude towards him again like before.
From afar, Aiden’s team spotted three mages as described in the pamphlet. Amber greeted them, and they greeted back. Aurora firmly said that they were the team that would help the 17th Mage Group.
"A team of knights, huh? That’s good, the team composition is well met," said a red-haired man.
"Meet him, he’s Aiden. He’s our team leader," Aurora said, introducing Aiden.
Aiden, reluctantly, shook the red-haired man’s hand. The red-haired man didn’t seem to recognize Aiden; Aiden’s face was unfamiliar to him. That was enough to make Aiden’s position safe.
"Alright. When do we leave?" Aurora asked.
"Since you’ve come, we’re leaving tonight. However, we have to go to Dourstad City to pick up our friend," the man explained.
"Shit!" whispered Aiden, overheard by the man.
"What’s wrong? Did you run into something in the city?" the man asked.
"A bit of an uncomfortable problem for us."
"You don’t need to worry. Our friend is the daughter of a nobleman there. We’ll be fine," the man explained, calming Aiden’s team members.
’That’s exactly the problem,’ Aiden explained.
"Alright. See you tonight!"
