Infinite Harem System: I Grow Stronger From Every Female Lead-Chapter 51: Only I Am Worthy Of Arthur (2)
Arthur rushed through the streets, weaving past numerous students. ππΏπ²ππ πππ»πΌπ―ππ.ππΌπΊ
βDamn, where could she be?β
He had completely forgotten.
The person who had stood by him even back on Earth.
The one who had enabled him to complete Magic Academyβs Genius Scholars in the first place.
His master.
His once unrequited lover.
His first wife.
And the person who had waited so long for him.
SyrβNathira Val Archaian.
βIβm such an idiot.β
Yes, there was nothing he couldβve done while trapped by Anna.
But heβd brushed it off too easily, acting just like the kind of jerks he despised.
But now, his mind was clear.
It was time to find his wife. His first and original wife.
....
As Arthur raced through the campus, a sudden thought struck him.
He knew the entire layout of the academy, and there was only one place Nathira would go if she planned on torturing people.
And it wasnβt on campus.
It was back in the hollow mountain.
Arthur paused, briefly pondering in the middle of the street. βBut how did she get there?β
There was only one answer.
Lysandra, the principal.
Arthur darted into the principalβs building, knocked twice, then entered her office.
The elegant woman looked up from the document she was reading. "If it isnβt Arthur Arcain. To what do I owe the pleasure?"
Arthur stepped closer to the desk that faced the large window. "Where is the gate that leads to the hollow mountain?"
Lysandra smiled. "Donβt worry, I wonβt lie to you."
She rose from her seat and tugged a book from the shelf beside her.
The moment she pulled it, a small door opened at the side of the bookshelf, and blue light spilled into the room.
Arthur glanced at her, then back at the portal. He bowed slightly and stepped through.
He didnβt know why she revealed the way so easily. But it was best not to ask questionsβnot yet.
As soon as he passed through and the light faded, the scent of fresh blood filled his nostrils.
The air was thick with death.
He found himself inside a derelict prison cell.
The bars were stained with bloody handprints, as if someone had desperately tried to escape.
He moved slowly and deliberately, the cries from nearby cells echoing in his ears.
βWe listen, but we donβt judge,β he reminded himself.
There were countless reasons why Nathira might be torturing people.
βWho am I kidding? I know why sheβs doing this...β His gaze darkened. βItβs because of me.β
Nathira had built her entire world around him.
She was the most powerful person on the planet. But also one of the most fragile, because her entire existence revolved around him.
The more that truth settled into his chest, the more it twisted his heart.
At the far end of the corridor, in the only room lit by a flickering bulb, there she was, holding a pair of pliers, her hands drenched in blood.
Her eyes widened when she saw him. Anna, who stood beside her, offered a faint smile.
"Art..." Nathira murmured.
Arthur stepped forward and embraced her. "Iβm sorry."
Nathira blinked. "What?"
Arthur continued. "I didnβt realize what you were going through because of me. I was selfish and blind. So much so that I didnβt even notice when someone with bad intentions slipped into my life."
"Art..."
He held her tighter, her face nestled against his chest. "You protected me, even when I was too stupid to see it." He added softly, "Thank you."
Nathira smiled faintly.
She had wanted to hide this part of herself from Arthur.
She feared heβd be disgusted. That heβd feel let down.
But it seemed she had been wrong.
When someone truly loved you, even your flaws couldnβt drive them away.
Nathira wrapped her arms around his waist. "I love you, Art..."
Arthur nodded. "I love you too..."
She grinned gently. "Iβll kill anyone for you, Art..."
Arthur hesitated. "Iβd rather you didnβt..."
She let out a soft laugh, then pulled away. "Then... will you accept my obsession?"
Arthur smiled. "As long as you donβt do anything reckless or turn that obsession on anyone else."
She nodded, almost childlike. "Okay... But..." She glanced at Anna. "What should I do about her?"
She looked back at Arthur, frowning. "Donβt tell me you still want her?"
Arthur rubbed his temples. βWhy are feelings so complicated?β
He hadnβt thought much about what to do with Anna.
She had lied and deceived him. And she was still technically a spy for the demons.
Letting her go would definitely stir trouble. She was clearly obsessed with him.
But above all, the happiness of his wives mattered most.
He thought for a moment. "I donβt know."
Nathira smiled as though sheβd been waiting for that answer. "Then, how about we do this..."
------
(A day later)
The situation had wrapped up quickly after that.
Arthur discovered that every prisoner in the cells had, in some way, tried to harm him. Nathira had simply taken justice into her own hands.
His other four wives found out soon enough. And it turned out Isabella had known all along.
They couldnβt kill Anna, so Nathira handed Arthur an ancient memory-erasure spell. Thanks to his constitution and authority, he was able to copy and cast it himself.
Before that, Anna revealed that another of their kind was still in the academy. Arthur immediately suspected Agrat.
And thus, the incident of the torture chamber and his yandere wife came to an end.
Today, heβd promised Nathira theyβd go to the mall together.
And thatβs when he realized something.
This would be his first real date in both worlds.
Lunch conversations in cafΓ©s didnβt count, at least not by his standards.
Which meant, this was a milestone in his life.
But there was one issue.
"Iβm hot as fuck. Can slay monsters, outthink strategists, and form my own original energy... but fashion?"
Arthur threw away one cloth after another. "What the hell am I going to wear?!"
