Chapter 1520: Last thought

At the same time, his arms were moving so fast that it was barely possible to see them. It looked like he was repelling the fire giants with his fists, but Arel couldn’t tell how...

At the same time, she saw the massive sphere of frozen hydrogen growing above Rain with every passing moment... it didn’t take long for Arel to connect the dots... Rain attacked the fire giant’s molecular structure in order to get rid of them and their attack power. Thanks to that, their explosions lost power, and the damage caused decreased... Rain even had the nerve to collect one of the elements of the fire giants, and Arel knew what he was plotting, which stopped her puppets from attacking.

"Too late," Rain said and then punched the massive sphere of hydrogen.

The sphere cracked into countless pieces, and they all flew toward the fire giants... those pierced their bodies and made them explode upon contact.

The reaction was immediate and explosive. Millions of fire giants, their forms destroyed by the fragments of the sphere, erupted into a dazzling display of light and heat. One by one, they detonated in rapid succession, their bodies consumed by the immense power unleashed by Rain’s strike.

But it wasn’t just the fire giants that felt the force of the explosion. The fragments of the hydrogen sphere, propelled with incredible force by the blast, became deadly projectiles in their own right. Sturdy and resilient, these fragments pierced through the ranks of the remaining giants with unstoppable momentum.

Millions fell in an instant, their flaming bodies torn asunder by the relentless barrage of shrapnel. Yet still, the giants pressed on, their numbers seemingly endless as they surged forward..

That enraged Arel through and through..., but Rain wasn’t done yet. The fragments of the hydrogen sphere stopped moving all of a sudden and then they began to rotate, mimicking the motions of a sphere... thanks to that, even more fire giants exploded. While seeing that, Arel was completely dumbfounded...

"Found ya..." Rain said.

One of the countless fragments of the hydrogen sphere collided with something hard and stopped moving... Rain immediately felt that since he infused a lot of his mana on the hydrogen sphere and then the teleported to the location, only to find countless fire giants gathering and fusing together to increase the power of his target.

"For someone who likes to manipulate others, you aren’t very smart, are you?" Rain asked.

Arel ignored the obvious taunt and then focused on fusing with the other fire giants. However, she soon stopped as she began to lose control over her body; her body kept expanding, but without absorbing the other fire giants... before long, she turned into a massive sphere of fire, but its interior was completely hollow.

"... What did you do to me?"

"I didn’t do anything. You did," Rain said. "You didn’t get rid of the fragment of the hydrogen sphere... and thanks to your body, the sphere melted. For a projectile like that to be able to pierce and destroy so many of the fire giants, it should be pretty hard... but the size was small. So how did it happen?"

"... Matter Compression..."

It all made sense now... Arel just had to absorb all that hydrogen to be able to move again or obtain more fire giants, but that wasn’t possible... her core in that body was within the hollow part of it.

"You were very tiresome to deal with," Rain said. "I hope that your friends won’t be that annoying to deal with."

As Rain prepared to deliver the final blow, his Origin Punch primed and ready to shatter Arel’s core, a look of astonishment crossed her mind. It was a rare moment of vulnerability, a crack in the facade of confidence she had worn so effortlessly until now.

Arel had never expected to be outsmarted by any opponent, let alone a mere mortal like Rain. Yet here he stood, defying all her expectations with a cunning and determination she had never encountered before.

As she stared into Rain’s eyes, a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions raced through her mind. This whole situation was insane, she realized. The twists and turns of their battle, the unexpected strategies and counterattacks, it was all beyond anything she had ever anticipated.

But as insane as it was, a part of Arel couldn’t help but wonder if perhaps it was destined to happen. The universe was vast and mysterious, filled with secrets and hidden truths beyond mortal comprehension. Perhaps their encounter was just another thread in the tapestry of fate, woven long before either of them had ever existed. Just like their birth, that the machine gods still didn’t know how it happened... perhaps someone predicted that such a thing would happen, or perhaps it was their goal all along.

Rain used Origin Punch and then made Arel explode before cracking her core... Rain wondered what would happen to the red star, but as soon as he recovered the core, he saw the forms of the monsters returning to normal and slowly reassembling.

"She could control this star, but not completely," Rain thought. "The machine gods can alter reality, but the natural order of things will be back to normal once they are gone... like their actions aren’t permanent."

Rain looked at the core and wondered what he should do... taking his time to read all the data or obtain it as soon as possible. He still hadn’t recovered from what he did the last time, but he didn’t have time to waste, so he immediately used Data Extraction and Data Mining at the same time.

Once again, Rain felt like his head was splitting as he obtained all the information and the skills that Arel had... eventually, he obtained the last thought that she had and then opened his eyes.

"She was..." Rain said while furrowing his eyebrows. "Anyway, I didn’t think about sealing some of my memories... things just went as planned."
