Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix-Chapter 1549: Push

The silver hue spread across Rain’s body, gradually replacing his human complexion with an otherworldly sheen. His features took on a surreal quality as if sculpted from liquid metal, with each movement accompanied by a subtle play of light and shadow. His hair remained red, though.

As the transformation neared completion, Rain stood before his final adversary, his body now resembling a living sculpture of silver. The strange new form radiated an aura of power and resilience, hinting at the depths of strength and determination that was inside him. Once he was done, Rain made his fists collide agaisnt each other, and then a powerful shockwave spread across the area.

"Shall we dance," Rain said.

The dragon god attacked Rain with his red head, and thanks to the impact, a massive explosion of flames took over the area. Still, Rain blocked the attack with his right hand without flinching. The dragon smirked at that and then raised his head and followed with the blue and green head. The next strikes dropped the temperature of the area tremendously, and the third fired lightning bolts in all directions... Rain’s stance didn’t change and blocked the attacks without breaking a sweat.

The dragon god suddenly jumped and then fell much faster to smash Rain with his body, but then he just punched the enemy countless times and managed to cancel the weight of the fall... before the dragon god could think of anything else, Rain lowered his stance before attacking the enemy with all of his might.

The impact pushed the dragon god upward for dozens of meters, and a huge chunk of his body fell from the spot hit, as well as blood that began to fall like rain... Rain’s attack power could pierce the defenses of the dragon god... but as soon as the enemy began to fall, the wound closed almost instantly.

"His regenerative abilities as a Hydra are even better than mine as a healer," Rain furrowed his eyebrows. "Terra should be able to heal more and faster, but his skill actually works passively..."

The dragon god fell a few dozen meters away from Rain, but he still used his head to bombard him with attacks in quick succession. He blocked them all with his forearms, but the area was starting to be destroyed... fissures were starting to spread around like wildfire.

Rain was also trying to keep his cool, but the damage was starting to pile up, even though his regeneration speed was many times faster than before. All of that happened in a single moment, after all... even if Rain used the time aspect to increase his speed and regeneration, the dragon god could do the same thing and multiply his damage output.

Still, Rain didn’t feel like changing his strategy since the dragon god also was only using time magic... There was nothing else flashing going on, both of them only wanted to show the power of their physical might and experience that made them reach this far."This is probably the first fight that I am fighting for myself..." Aaron thought. "I can’t let myself lose here or do anything that will go against this feeling. This guy made me lose one hundred years of life from my family and friends. I will never forgive him for that."

Rain charged toward the dragon god and then clenched his fist and teeth before attacking the enemy with all his might. The dragon god was able to react on time and block the attack with five of his heads and three of them exploded immediately thanks to all that power... but the heads regenerated even before Rain could stop moving.

In the next moment, the three heads attacked Rain from above, and the sides... his arms protected him from critical damage, but he could hear the sounds of his bones cracking even faster than he could heal them...

Despite that, Rain jumped and then kicked the heads with all his might and pushed them away... when the dragon god recovered from that, he saw Rain lowering his stance and then opening his hands...

In the next moment, Rain appeared in front of the dragon god and bombarded him with an endless wave of Palm strikes. Each attack made the enemy be pushed backward for dozens of kilometers, even though the hardened scales on his chest protected the creature from surface-level damage... still, some of the heads of the dragon god began to cough up blood, showing that Rain’s attacks were damaging his interior.

The dragon god suddenly attacked Rain’s side again with a barrage of headbutts, but he blocked them with his palm strikes... eventually, the heads began to repeat themselves, but the dragon god ignored that as Rain got affected by the elemental power of the heads... some of them froze him, some of them burned him, some of them shocked him, some of them made his body heavier, but he endured them all.

The dragon god liked attacking like that and he kept going, until Rain suddenly grabbed one of the heads and then jumped with all his might. The dragon god was caught off guard and then was pulled to the sky until Rain spun him in the air before launching downward. The impact made the fissures around the world increase for dozens of kilometers and the body of the dragon god sunk hundreds of meters as well...

"It looks like this planet is a lot more frail than before... is it because Lonos is gone?" Rain thought as he began to fall.

While Rain was thinking about that, the dragon god suddenly left the hole while spinning and then collided against Rain, the attack sent him flying downward as he felt his body almost being smashed by a giant star... before he could recover, the dragon got hid him from behind while still spinning like that and he kept going while flying around and hitting Rain from all directions.

Rain suddenly punched the enemy when he tried to attack him, and the punch made the dragon god lose some spinning speed. Both of them began to fall back to the surface of the planet, and then they sighed in relief. Soon, however, they charged again when their feet landed on the ground.

"Even if our parameters were the same, I would fall behind since he is much bigger and heavier," Rain thought. "I need to find a solution for this..."

That was going to be hard since the dragon god was very aware of the reason as to why Rain was having a hard time... naturally, he would do everything in his favor to not let things even out no matter what.

When their bodies collided, Rain immediately felt his body screaming in pain and then began to lose ground against the enemy... that had been too fast, but considering the situation and the fact that Rain had been fighting enemies nonstop for several hours, perhaps that wasn’t unavoidable.

One of Rain’s options was to bring the lords to where he was, but they were looking for him all over the planet. Their presence would make the skill Transcendental Support stronger... However, that would go against his pride. That was the only battle that he wanted to win by himself... while Rain was thinking about that and having his arms almost smashed, something happened.

I couldn’t help but smile amidst that situation... my friends pulled that off on their own. Fortus was defeated. That alone was enough to make my motivation increase to the max.

Rain lowered his stance and then forced himself to push the dragon god upward. Rain managed to do that so easily and so fast that even the dragon god was caught off, and then he began to spin countless times in the air.

When the dragon god looked at Rain, he saw him putting the palm of his hands together... It seemed that he was about to use his Rain technique, even though he never showed signs of using magic until now. Still, the dragon god had time to react to that... unfortunately for him, Rain appeared suddenly above him and then smashed downward the massive body of the dragon god with his hands enthralled.

The dragon god’s body coiled like a snake being smashed in the sky, and for a moment, it almost turned into a pancake when it hit the ground. Both impacts had been so powerful that the dragon god took some time to recover, and he used that to try to understand how Rain got so stronger, so much faster, and all of a sudden.
