Chapter 455: 455: “Ignis”

“Looks like Hillogu has quite a few treasures in his hands, huh?”

Orson squinted and muttered to himself. Although Hillogu wasn’t one of the Four Great Families, he was a major player at the emperor’s side, wielding significant power in the empire’s higher circles.

But his most important identity was as the Honorary Pope of the Holy Light Church, essentially a key piece placed by the church at the emperor’s side.

Hillogu held the Mana Wellspring Holy Grail, tilting it slightly. A burst of multicolored light emanated from it.

Ghost King’s mana began to rapidly regenerate, soon returning to full capacity.

“Percentage-based mana regeneration?”

Orson’s heart skipped a beat. He couldn’t help but feel the itch to get his hands on that Holy Grail.

If he could get that cup, his continuous combat ability would skyrocket.

The Holy Grail’s mana recovery was far superior to the main city’s fountain, restoring 5% every second. In just 20 seconds, it could fully replenish mana.

And the best part was, it could be used during battle—essentially carrying around a fountain in combat.

“If I can’t negotiate for it, then I’ll gamble and see if I can steal it.” Orson’s eyes turned cold as he made his decision.

In his mind, Hillogu had already become a dead man.

The blood mist swirled again as the stubborn Winona continued to cause trouble. Orson turned his attention back to the Blood Priest respawn area.

The hapless Blood Clan warriors were revived again and again, yet their will to fight never waned. No matter how many times they died, they charged at him and Crimson Lizard King, howling relentlessly.

With Crimson Lizard King having exhausted her mana, Orson decided to let her go wild.

Her Unmatched physical strength ripped through the battlefield, crushing everything in her path with overwhelming force.

She chewed through bones in frustration, disturbed by the constant yelling of the Blood Clan warriors.

“King’s Authority: Blood Consumption. This rule might be interesting.”

Orson murmured to himself, watching as bones and flesh flew around. As he considered whether to eliminate Ghost King, he decided to try using his set skill Chaos Clone to inherit Ghost King’s ability.

But he couldn’t be sure yet whether this rule would only work on the Blood Clan warriors.

If it only affected the highest-tier Domain Master NPCs, or the lowest-tier Elite monsters, then even if it granted infinite resurrection for the Blood Clan, it would be a useless gimmick.

After all, the Blood Clan’s attributes weren’t strong—what made them dangerous was Ghost King’s SS-tier Blood Demon Magic, which granted the Blood Clan significant stat boosts.

However…

A wicked smile crept across Orson’s face. If it could resurrect players…

This King’s Authority would become a game-changer!

Players, unlike NPCs or monsters, could grow stronger infinitely, far beyond the capabilities of mere NPCs or creatures.

It was worth a shot—worst case, he’d waste a Supreme Soul Disc clone.

Orson fought from dawn till dusk, the battle relentless and unforgiving.

With each powerful AoE spell, the ground itself seemed to crack and shift as Ghost King’s palace crumbled into ruins.

“Blood Consumption +11,200!”

“Blood Consumption +500!”

The Blood Clan army was wiped out again and again, and Orson’s excitement couldn’t be hidden.

Hatching Progress: 89%!

Hatching Progress: 98%!

One hundred million units of blood collected and the process was nearly complete!

“Phoenix Bloodline · Nifex”

“Rank: God”

“Your battle beast egg, bathed in blood, is about to hatch!”

“Countdown: 6 hours.”

The prompt flashed, and Orson took out the Phoenix Egg from his inventory. The shell had turned a deep purple, and a powerful life force emanated from it.

“Wow! What a cute little baby!”

Berenice rolled from Orson’s shoulder to his arm, bouncing excitedly like a little fruit, her voice full of enthusiasm.

“You may rename your battle beast!”

Upon hearing this, Orson’s heart wavered. After Crimson Lizard King had scorned his naming ability, he was deeply introspective and decided to turn over a new leaf!

Orson began to mentally battle with himself, his vast knowledge flashing through his mind as he tried to come up with the perfect name.

Even the usually cold and violent Crimson Lizard King, sensing the moment’s significance, transformed into her more glamorous form and walked closer.

Her ruby-red eyes, usually cold and distant, softened with an unexpected gentleness. Through her ancient memory, she sensed that Orson wasn’t an enemy.

Crimson Lizard King cautiously reached out, touching the Phoenix Egg, her expression shy and uncertain.

Orson immediately moved the egg to the side, eyeing her warily, “What are you doing? This thing isn’t for eating.”

Crimson Lizard King blushed, shooting him a furious glare before solemnly saying, “Please give him a fitting name. He is the offspring of an immortal being!”

Berenice, not caring about their interaction, shouted enthusiastically at the egg, “Call me Mommy! Hurry up and call me Mommy!”

“Ugh… idiot. You’ve got the generations mixed up!”

Orson knocked Berenice on her fruit-sized head, then turned to the egg with a mischievous grin, “Hehe, let’s call him Barbie!”

“Master, please take the naming seriously!” Crimson Lizard King said with a serious tone.

“I strongly agree!”

Orson gave her a mock glare and quickly stuffed Berenice back into his pocket.

Then, he gazed at the Phoenix Egg, lost in thought. The moment felt more intense than facing off against a Dragon King.

“Since it’s the descendant of a phoenix, it will definitely be something that flies. Adding the word ‘fly’ to the name makes sense, especially since Barrel Town is in the Empire’s western region…”

Orson muttered to himself, weighing his options for several minutes, then suddenly his eyes lit up, “I’ve got it! Let’s call him, the flying…”

“No!!”

Crimson Lizard King’s eyes narrowed in anger as she forcibly stopped him. She and Orson shared a strong bond, so she knew exactly what he was about to say.

“Why not? I think it’s perfect,” Orson said, furrowing his brows, not understanding what was wrong.

Crimson Lizard King: “No!”

“Then you come up with a name,” Orson shrugged and rolled his eyes.

Crimson Lizard King: “… I don’t know.”

And so, the two of them stood there, staring at each other, holding a God Battle Beast Egg, completely stumped over what to name it.

After much thinking, Orson’s head felt like it was about to explode. His impatience grew, and finally, he gave up, quickly typing a name into the interface.

“Your battle beast’s name: Ignis. Name successful!”

He named the beast despite the risk of Crimson Lizard King’s wrath.

He couldn’t call it “Little Plane” or “Flying Bird.”

In the end, Orson was satisfied. After all, in his mind, a nickname was just a code; as long as the beast was powerful, the world would soon give Ignis an immortal title.

Now, they only had to wait six hours for the first-ever God Battle Beast to hatch in the world of Infinite Dimensions!
