Chapter 345: Utter Defeat

[Eldoria - Third Wall Defence.]

Ellen stood calmly atop Eldoria’s third defensive wall, her hands folded behind her back. Unlike her commanders, she wore no armor—just a simple, flowing, dark-blue dress that made her look like a child playing at war. Behind her stood her inner circle: Jinx, Star, Nioh, Nicolas, Blood Eye, and the remaining core commanders.

Standing before the group was David, the young Elf inventor, practically trembling with anticipation.

WHOOSH!!

"Princess, they are here," Nioh announced, using his Third Eye to scan the atmosphere. The massive fleet of enemy Warships and Battleships was breaching the upper atmosphere.

"Good." Ellen nodded, her gaze fixed on David’s back. "You may begin."

"Haha! I have waited for this a long time!" David yelled, his excitement overwhelming. He brought out a custom-made tablet and started tapping furiously.

WHOOSH!!!!

More than two hundred advanced drones, sleek and menacing, armed with twin machine guns and rocket missile pods, rose from the ground behind them. The red optical lights on each drone pulsed with lethal intent.

"Hahaha!! All of them are marked for extinction!! Go and get them, my babies!!" David screamed, utterly consumed by the spectacle of his inventions going into action.

BOOM!!!!

With insane acceleration, the drone fleet shot into the sky, a swarm of mechanical death heading toward the invaders.

"What if this doesn’t work, Commander?" Nioh whispered anxiously to Jinx.

"There are backup plans," Jinx replied with characteristic boredom, leaning against a pillar, stealing a glance at her terrifyingly calm sister.

"Besides, these things are built with the wealth of tens of trillions; they had better be enough."

Jinx added in a lower voice, heavy with concern, "I just hope Ellen doesn’t get consumed by the thrill of killing. This quick, decisive method is best."

Nioh nodded slowly, his expression determined. He understood the unspoken threat: if the young Princess, with her terrifying growth rate, lost control to her bloodlust, the consequences for their enemies—and possibly the stability of the Lower World—would be catastrophic.

"We will stay close and make absolutely sure it won’t happen."

BOOM!!

BOOM!!

BOOM!!

BOOM!!

BOOM!!

The group stood on the wall, listening to the cacophony of explosions high above. They watched burning debris and scattered enemy ship parts rain down, slamming into the ground miles away.

WHOOSH!!!

BAM!

"...?!"

The eight on the wall frowned, watching as huge humanoid shapes fell from the sky, bypassing the aerial defenses and smashing heavily onto the ground in front of the wall, raising clouds of smoke and dust.

"Are these the Elves’ Nation’s trump cards?" Star asked with a raised eyebrow, staring at the ten-foot-tall, four-armed battle robots before them. They were clearly specialized siege units.

BAM!! BAM! BAM!

More landed, and in seconds, fifty towering robots stood before the wall, their optical sensors locked straight onto the command group.

"Um... I can’t withdraw the drones to attack these, and if I do, the remaining warships and battleships will land and release their ground forces," David stammered, looking anxiously over his shoulder.

"Okay. Leave it to us then," Eve said, drawing her red sword. Flames instantly erupted around the blade.

"You don’t have to fight them," Ellen spoke, her quiet voice stunning the group into silence.

"Um... Princess, how are we supposed to stop those specialized robots without fighting them?" Eve asked, thoroughly confused.

"What I mean is," Ellen raised her hand, a delicate finger pointing at the nearest robot. "We don’t have to fight them when we can kill them with one skill."

WHOOSH!!

A crimson beam of light, thin but impossibly potent, shot out from her finger and instantly vaporized the head of the first robot. To everyone’s shock, the light beam didn’t stop. It kept moving, smashing through the body of the next robot, and the next, ricocheting off the shattered metal husks. In less than ten seconds, all fifty robots dropped to the ground in a pile of smoking, lifeless metal.

’This girl is getting more terrifying by the moment. She is already at the last stage of the Demigod Rank; with one more step, she will become a true God in the Lower World, a power level that should take decades to achieve.’ Jinx thought, exhaling in frustration.

"Why can’t I become so powerful?" Jinx muttered, a rare moment of genuine envy flashing in her eyes.

"...?!"

Star turned to her with a frown. "You’re the second strongest in Eldoria! Isn’t that enough?" She rolled her eyes.

"You are only the second because you are lazy. Just wait for the King to get back and see you’re still stuck in the Divine Rank. Remember, in one month, they’ll be home for the birthday."

Jinx closed her eyes and sighed dramatically. "This is so boring!"

BOOM!!!

Two enormous black dragon wings burst out from Jinx’s back, tearing a hole in her dress. Without waiting for anyone’s reaction, she shot into the air, her boredom instantly replaced by reckless enthusiasm.

"I need to have some fun!! Staying here without doing anything will get me killed out of sheer boredom!" Her voice echoed down from the sky.

"Oh well, we already won this," Ellen said with a small smile, which was the most expression she had shown all day. "My sister is just too enthusiastic."

She turned and walked calmly toward the stairs, not bothering to see the conclusion of the battle.

"Commander Eve, call Ladon. I need a ride to the Elves’ Nation. The rest of you can proceed to the Ogres’ Kingdom. Make sure to conquer it and establish our new authority."

"Yes, Princess!"

The commanders instantly nodded their heads, their shock replaced by focused obedience.

’Is this still Ellen?’ Star thought, staring at Ellen’s departing figure. ’And she wants to take over the Elves’ Nation alone with just Ladon? Well, with that old Abyssal Dragon backing her, it won’t be difficult.’

’That doesn’t mean I won’t keep an eye on her. If anything happens to her, Sunny will wipe out the entire Lower World.’

BOOM!!!

BOOOOOM!!

"AHHH!!"

BOOM!!!!

Ellen kept walking, not slowing down, nor glancing at the destruction being caused by the drones and Jinx above. To her, the battle for the thrones was already won.
