BAM!

The clang of metal on stone echoed through the dungeon as Jinx watched the two Ogres open the cell door, two more guards looming behind them.

’They shouldn’t know my hand is healed.’ She thought, her mind racing.

With a groan, the heavy metal door swung inward, and the four hulking figures lumbered into the cell. Jinx slowly pushed herself up from the cold floor, while the little girl huddled deeper into the shadows of the corner.

"Take your real appearance!" the Ogre who had broken her hand snarled, his voice a cold blade.

Jinx’s eyebrow shot up.

"....?!"

She hadn’t expected that.

"I said take your true face!" he spat again, impatience lacing his tone.

"I won’t!!" Jinx retorted, defiance flaring in her eyes.

"You!!" The second Ogre advanced, his massive hand closing around her shoulder.

"Ahhh!!" Jinx cried out, dropping to her knees, feigning agony as she struggled to catch her breath.

"Hehehe!" The Ogre chuckled, looking down at her, a cruel smirk on his face.

’This pig! I will have to pretend my hand is broken, or they might break it again.’ She thought, gritting her teeth.

The first Ogre, ignoring Jinx, moved towards the little girl and snatched her by her horns.

"Ahh! Let me go!!" the girl shrieked, struggling against his grip as he lifted her off the ground.

"If you don’t..." he began, his voice dripping with menace, "We will cut off one of her wings! Decide!" The two guards behind him placed their hands menacingly on the hilts of their swords.

"This?" Jinx’s gaze flickered from the terrified girl to the Ogre, then back again. "Fine, but let her go!"

The Ogre smirked, a triumphant gleam in his eyes, and with a rough shove, tossed the girl towards Jinx.

Shit! Jinx’s heart pounded. If she caught the girl with both hands, they’d know her right hand was healed:

’I will have to do this?!’

Taking a deep, shaky breath, she stretched out only her left hand, bracing for impact. The collision sent them both sprawling to the ground.

’Huh? Why didn’t I feel any pain from the fall?’ She thought in confusion, staring at the little girl sprawled on top of her.

’Did she?’

"Get her up!!" The Ogre’s voice boomed, laced with irritation.

Before the guards could even react, Jinx quickly rolled the girl to the side and sprang to her feet. "I said I will take my true appearance! There’s no need for pigs to touch me!"

The Ogres froze, watching as Jinx’s blonde hair slowly deepened into a vibrant purple. Her fair skin shimmered, turning a luminous blue, glowing before their astonished eyes. The four Ogres and the little girl watched in awe as her blue eyes shifted, settling into a striking, unearthly gray. Standing before them was a stunning Xenon with piercing gray eyes.

"I did it! What next?!" she demanded, her voice steady.

"Just stand there." The Ogre activated his Cosmic brain, a device that hummed as it took pictures of Jinx from every conceivable angle. He then turned to the little girl.

"What about her?" he asked.

"Are you mad?! She is a secret!" the second Ogre hissed, his eyes wide with disbelief.

After capturing the images, the first Ogre saved them and walked closer to Jinx. "What a beautiful Xenon... I am even shocked," he murmured, his gaze fixed on her.

"What about we make a video of her, naked?" the second Ogre suggested with a lewd grin.

".....?!!"

Jinx’s and even the guards’ eyes widened in shock.

"Yeah! And we will also record her when changing, that way, the buyers will believe it," the first Ogre nodded, a self-satisfied smirk spreading across his face. "Wow... I am so smart."

"You?! I brought the idea!" the second Ogre protested.

"Ok! Ok... We are both smart," the first conceded, then studied Jinx with an unblinking stare. "What are you waiting for? Get undressed?!" he hissed.

’This?!! Even if I have to die! I will never!’ Jinx thought inwardly, resolve hardening within her. Even if it meant revealing her healed hands, she would fight.

"Ok then! I will just help you!!"

Before the Ogre could take another step:

BOOOOOOM!!!!

A deafening explosion rocked the entire dungeon. The walls trembled violently, and dust rained down from the ceiling.

"....?!!"

"First and second Commanders! We are under attack!!" A frantic Ogre guard burst into the cell.

"Attack?!!" The two commanders were momentarily stunned.

"By Whom?!" they demanded in unison.

"We don’t know yet! We need you!" the guard panted.

The two commanders glanced at Jinx for a few seconds, growling in frustration. "Let go! We’ll come back for her!" the first commander snapped, already turning to leave.

"I will peel the skin of those fools who dare attack us!" the second hissed, his eyes burning with killing intent. He turned back to Jinx, a menacing promise in his voice.

"Make sure you are naked when we get back, or you’ll hate what happens!" With that, he stormed out, the reporting guard scrambling to follow.

This left the two remaining guards alone with Jinx and the little girl.

"Should we go?" one of the guards asked hesitantly.

"Not yet... This Xenon is too beautiful, I say we have our way with her... Then go! He won’t take that long," the second guard said, his eyes raking over Jinx’s form.

"This? What if she fights back? We can’t injure her."

"Look at her! Her right hand is broken, although she is a master rank like us, we can take her together," he said, gesturing towards Jinx’s supposedly injured hand.

"Hmm..." The other guard pondered for a few seconds, then nodded. "Ok... Let’s make it quick."

"You are both evil!"

"....?!"

The two guards whipped their heads around to face the little girl.

"Shut up! And watch... Learn one or two from this!" the first guard sneered.

"My friend is the only one who has been kind to me! She helped me! Talked to me, and sees me as a friend! How dare you have such thoughts about her!!"

As she yelled, a powerful Sonic wave of pure energy burst forth from her, slamming into the two guards.

"...?!!"

Jinx watched in shock and awe as the two Master rank guards were violently propelled into the wall, vomiting mouthfuls of blood. They slid down, collapsing in a heap on the ground.

The two shook their heads, and slowly raised their hands, seeing the blinding white light emanating from them.

"What’s happening to us?" one asked, his voice laced with mild terror.

Jinx watched, transfixed, as the white light continued to stream from the two guards, flowing directly into the little girl.

’Is she??’

"I feel weak!" The guards tried to push themselves up, but crumpled back to the ground.

"Stop!" one hissed, a desperate plea.

"No!!"

Jinx stood frozen as the two Ogres withered, their celestial energies and life force completely absorbed by the little dragon, who then collapsed to her knees.

".....?!"

"Are you okay?!" Jinx rushed to her side, helping her to her feet.

"I think so."

"You think so?! You just killed two Master ranks?! And you’re just a Core rank! That’s fantastic!" Jinx exclaimed, a surge of adrenaline coursing through her.

BOOOOOOM!!

Another explosion reverberated, sending more dust tumbling from the ceiling.

"We just got a way to escape," Jinx said, gesturing towards the now open cell doors.
