Infinite Wealth System: Crazy Tasks, Insane Rewards!-Chapter 55: Naylah’s Acceptance
Chapter 55: Naylah’s Acceptance
Jayden only ended up making out with Lynna. Though it felt like things were going straight at first, the feeling subsided, and it felt like it shouldn’t be rushed.
After all, it wasn’t his will to add her to the harem, but the system’s advice and his wise strategic thinking had said otherwise.
That was the bad news, but the good news was that he had succeeded in adding her to his harem.

That was a good move, and now, all he had to do was to move on with increasing it. And he had made a decision.
Even though he didn’t have sex straight away with Lynna, he could actually use other things to win more of her affection.
With careful calculation, Jayden already knew what to do, and he decided to start by getting her material things without questioning.
In the end, all he needed was her charmed loyalty, nothing else.

The black luxury sedan pulled up slowly to the Vanes Mansion, its polished exterior reflecting the rays of the afternoon sun.
Naylah sat quietly in the back seat, her fingers laced tightly on her lap, her heart pounding in her chest. The drive from her modest home had felt long and heavy, filled with uneasy silence as her thoughts spun wildly.
Kurtis and Silas had been very convincing.
"Look, Naylah," Kurtis had said just days ago when he visited her home unexpectedly. "We both know what Gregory Kingsley did to your husband. That man ruined your family, and for what? Greed? Power?"
She had remained silent at first, but her eyes had betrayed her emotions. The pain was still fresh, the betrayal still raw.
"It was Gregory who framed your husband for embezzlement," Silas added, his voice calm but filled with a dangerous edge. "We are definitely on the right track to find evidence. We’ve known the truth for a while now, but Gregory’s influence runs deep. That’s why we’re here. We want to bring him down, but we can’t do it alone. We need people who have been hurt by him... people related to the accused... people like you."
The offer had been tempting, almost too tempting. For years, Naylah had lived with the shame society dumped on her after her husband’s wrongful imprisonment. She carried the whispers, the judgmental stares, the pity-filled looks from some, and even the so-called friends she had. But deep down, there was only one thing she wanted: revenge.
"Think about it," Kurtis had said, lowering his voice. "With our backing, you won’t just get justice... you’ll finally have a future again. Wealth, respect, and peace of mind."
She had nodded that day, and now, here she was, being driven into the estate of one of the most powerful families in New Wiston.
The car finally stopped. The driver stepped out and opened the door for her.
"Welcome to the Vanes Mansion, Madam Naylah," he said with a respectful bow.
Naylah took a deep breath before stepping out, adjusting her simple yet elegant beige dress. She looked up at the mansion—massive, majestic, and intimidating. The tall pillars, the immaculate garden, and the fountain in the middle of the driveway all screamed wealth that she had never dared to dream of. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ
She had been here before, but she hadn’t taken her time to observe the place the first time. This was due to the fact she was told that Jayden would be arriving there as well, and she couldn’t wait to see her son.
Waiting on the grand steps were Kurtis and Silas, both dressed in perfectly tailored suits, smiles planted on their faces.
"Naylah," Kurtis called out warmly. "You made it."
"I said I would, didn’t I?" she replied softly, managing a small smile. She still felt awkward. The environment was too foreign and surreal.
As they approached her, Silas stepped forward and offered his hand. "You’ve made a wise decision. Truly."
Naylah shook his hand and followed them into the mansion. The interior was even more magnificent. The marble floors reflected the massive crystal chandelier hanging above, while the air carried the faint scent of lavender.
"You’ll get used to it," Kurtis chuckled, noticing her wandering gaze. "We have much to discuss."
As they walked through the main hall, Naylah’s mind drifted again... her thoughts landed on Jayden. The boy she had once known. The young man who had grown into a force none of them had seen coming.
Jayden had every reason to hate her. After everything that happened to his father, and how she had distanced herself, choosing silence when she should have fought, she understood his coldness toward her now. And yet, despite his unforgiving stance, she couldn’t help but feel proud of what he had become.
Truly...
Jayden had defied the odds. No longer was he the struggling young man people whispered about behind closed doors. He was now a rising figure in Cloudbridge’s business world, someone whom even the Vanes took seriously. That fact alone left a bittersweet taste in her mouth.
"Naylah."
Kurtis’s voice snapped her out of her thoughts as they entered a private lounge room. The room was cozy, a sharp contrast to the intimidating formality of the mansion’s entrance. A round glass table stood at the center, surrounded by plush chairs. The air inside was warm, almost inviting.
Seated already were a few other important-looking individuals, some of the Vanes’ close associates, no doubt. They greeted her politely as she sat down.
"You’re probably wondering why we’re moving so fast," Silas began as everyone settled in. "The truth is, time isn’t exactly on our side."
Kurtis leaned forward. "We’re building something, Naylah. Something big. Gregory has manipulated New Wiston’s system for far too long, and it’s time we correct that."
Naylah nodded slowly. "I’m listening."
Silas continued, his tone calculated but smooth. "With your husband’s case resurfacing, public sympathy will swing back in your favor. You have an opportunity to regain your dignity and your voice. That voice can help us rally others who were hurt by Gregory’s reign. Victims, investors, even politicians."
Naylah folded her arms, trying to suppress the swelling anger in her chest. "And you’re certain you can bring him down?"
"We’re closer than you think," Kurtis answered confidently. "But understand this, Naylah, we are not doing charity work here. This is business. You help us, and we help you. Financially. Politically. Personally."
She exhaled, her gaze fixed on the table. "All my life, I’ve waited for this moment."
"Then don’t hesitate now," Silas said gently.
"I won’t," Naylah finally replied, her voice steady. "I’ll do what you ask. I want to see Gregory fall."
A subtle, satisfied smile crossed both Kurtis and Silas’s faces.
"That’s exactly what we wanted to hear," Kurtis said, leaning back into his seat. "We’ll take care of the legal work. In the meantime, we’ll start reintroducing you to society, under our wing, of course."
"And we’ll also ensure you’re financially stable from now on," Silas added. "You’ll live here at the estate for the time being. No one will question your place or your loyalty."
Though her heart felt lighter at the thought of finally having power again, a tiny voice still nagged at her from within.
Jayden.
Would he see her as another snake crawling into the laps of the rich and powerful? Or would he one day understand that this was her only way of surviving? Of fighting back?
She was doing this for her husband, yes. For justice. But she couldn’t lie to herself... part of her also wanted to reclaim the life that had been stolen from her. The humiliation she suffered was something she could never forget.
She knew she had made a great mistake backing away when she was supposed to do the right thing, but now, she wanted to fix that mistake.
As the meeting wrapped up, Kurtis stood and extended his hand once more.
"Welcome to the family, Naylah."
She shook his hand, and this time, she allowed herself a small but genuine smile.
...
Later that evening, as Naylah settled into one of the guest suites prepared for her, she stood by the massive window, gazing out at the endless estate grounds.
Her thoughts inevitably returned to Jayden again.
She clearly couldn’t get her mind off her son for a moment.
"You’ve become a man, Jayden... stronger, colder, wiser. I see you now, and even if you can’t forgive me yet... I am still proud of you," she muttered with a breaking voice.
A single tear slipped down her cheek, but she quickly wiped it away. There was no room for weakness anymore. Not now.
Tomorrow would be the start of a new life, a dangerous one, but for the first time in years, Naylah was no longer powerless.
She had made the promise clear...
She would make amends and avenge her husband... and most importantly, get her son back... no matter what.
