Chapter 301 - 301: The Flirtatious Kasamoto Eri

Creak!

A piercing screech echoed through the room as the door twisted and warped under sheer force, before being yanked open.

Hearing the noise, Kasamoto Eri reacted instantly.

Springing upright, she grabbed her machine gun, took aim at the entrance, and at the same time, gripped the detonator in her other hand.

Beside her, Jessica, who had also sat up, clung tightly to Eri's waist, her face pale with fear.

Under their anxious gazes, heavy footsteps echoed through the doorway as a massive figure strode in.

Qin Ming entered the room, his expression grim.

Dangling from his hand was a severed head, its face so battered and dried out that it no longer resembled a human.

The lifeless corpse, completely drained of blood, dragged along the floor behind him, leaving a long streak of red in its wake.

It was none other than Fist Demon, the Extreme Flow master from the trio of adventurers.

The three had attempted to overpower Qin Ming together, only to lose catastrophically—one dead, two on the run.

As Qin Ming stepped into the room, the first thing his sharp gaze landed on was Kasamoto Eri—

—sitting on the bed, completely naked.

And beside her, Jessica screamed in panic, burying herself against Eri's body.

His eyes twitched.

Then, he glanced at the corpse of an adventurer lying on the floor.

Then, back at Eri.

A dark shadow passed over his face as his eyes narrowed dangerously.

Eri, seeing that it was Qin Ming, let out a relieved sigh, lowering her machine gun and even patting Jessica's back to comfort her.

"Don't worry, he's my boss. He's one of us."

With Jessica finally calming down, Eri sprang off the bed, arms wide open, her face beaming with enthusiasm.

"Boss! I knew you'd win! Just three adventurers? That's nothing for you!"

Qin Ming grinned.

Then, without warning—

He dropped the shriveled corpse in his hand and marched straight toward Eri.

He extended both hands toward her...

—And wrapped them around her throat, violently shaking her!

"You little shit! I told you to watch the hostage—not sleep with her!" Qin Ming roared, his face twitching with fury. "I'm out there fighting for my damn life, and you're in here having the time of yours?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"

Eri, legs kicking in the air, tongue lolling out, frantically flailed her arms.

Still struggling to breathe, she managed to grab a grenade from the table and, using it like a club, began bashing Qin Ming's head repeatedly.

"Let— me— go—! I— can't— breathe—!"

"You still wanna breathe?! I should choke you to death!"

"I worked hard for that lay! How is it your damn business?!"

"You still got the nerve to talk back?!"

The two descended into chaos, grappling and brawling right then and there.

Jessica, frozen in shock, finally snapped back to reality.

Seeing her newfound best friend being bullied, she threw caution to the wind and rushed forward to pry Qin Ming off.

Unfortunately, with her tiny arms, she could barely even make him budge—let alone stop him.

...

The scuffle continued for several minutes, with neither side willing to back down.

It only ended when the roar of engines sounded outside—

Boss Damnd had arrived with reinforcements from Mad Gear.

Hearing the noise, Qin Ming finally reluctantly let go, knowing they couldn't afford to be careless now.

Plus, Eri was still naked—he couldn't just drag her outside like this.

He flung her onto the bed, ordering, "Get dressed. Now."

Then, he stormed out, slamming the door behind him.

...

Meanwhile, in the main hall, Boss Damnd had just stepped in with a group of gang members.

After a quick exchange, he confirmed that Jessica hadn't been taken—

And immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

Boss Damnd quickly pulled out his phone and dialed his superior.

"Yeah, Boss! That damn mayor sent people to attack us! He clearly has no intention of cooperating! In my opinion, we should just take him out—... Oh? You want us to bring his daughter over to see you? Got it, got it! I'll have her delivered right away!"

Slamming the phone shut, Damnd turned to glance at Qin Ming before striding toward the back room.

"Brother, the boss has new orders. We need to take Jessica to see him, so I'll—"

Before he could finish, Qin Ming suddenly stretched out an arm to block his path, his sharp gaze flicking toward him.

"I'll take her there," Qin Ming stated.

"Huh? You?"

"Yeah. Don't worry, there won't be any problems."

Damnd's eyes narrowed as he studied Qin Ming's face. After a moment of thought, he nodded.

"Alright, if you wanna do it, be my guest. I'll go give the boss a heads-up."

With that, he turned and walked off.

Qin Ming stood at the doorway, watching Damnd and his men disappear down the hall before finally pushing the door open and stepping inside.

Inside the room, Kasamoto Eri and Jessica had already finished getting dressed. Seeing them, Qin Ming let out a deep sigh.

"Let's go. There's someone I need you to meet."

...

On the road, a car sped through the city streets.

Kasamoto Eri sat in the driver's seat, gripping the wheel with full concentration.

In the backseat, Jessica was curled up like a frightened quail, looking incredibly small and timid.

Beside her sat Qin Ming.

It was painfully obvious that Jessica was terrified of him.

Which was understandable—who wouldn't be scared of a towering, beastly-looking kidnapper?

Even though Qin Ming had never laid a finger on her, the real menace had been Eri—who, despite looking far less intimidating, had done absolutely everything imaginable to her.

The car ride was quiet.

Their meeting with Mad Gear's boss, Belger, had already concluded, and now they were on their way back.

Originally, Belger had planned to keep Jessica as a hostage to threaten the new mayor into submission.

He didn't trust his underlings with her—he knew exactly what kind of degenerates they were.

Leaving a lamb in a den of wolves was just asking for trouble. If they lost control and devoured the hostage, his entire leverage would be gone.

So, he intended to keep her by his side, where he could personally ensure her safety.

However, after seeing Jessica in person, his plans shifted.

Belger immediately noticed how clingy Jessica was toward Qin Ming—

Or rather, toward Kasamoto Eri.

That sparked a new idea in his mind.

If they could somehow convince Jessica to join them, then instead of threatening the mayor, they could use his own daughter to influence him.

That would be far more reliable than using her as a bargaining chip.

After all, Belger wasn't eager to start a direct fight with the new mayor.

Mike Haggar was a well-known street wrestler, and his strength was no joke.

If they could avoid making an enemy of him, that would be the ideal outcome.

Besides, teaming up with the mayor could lead to mutual benefits—why go to war when a deal could get them both what they wanted?

Thus, Belger scrapped his original plan on the spot and instead gave Qin Ming a new mission—

Find a way to recruit Jessica into Mad Gear.

And the moment he accepted the task, something unexpected happened—

The Nightmare Space acknowledged it as a Hidden Mission!
