Interstellar Beast World: All My Husbands Are Powerful and Rich!-Chapter 136: Why do you look so… slutty?
Rory nodded quickly and lowered her voice in promise. "Don’t worry. I absolutely won’t tell your brother."
How could she possibly let Vincent know about something like that?
She had always been curious about the Succubus Clan Lola mentioned—the ones said to be able to charm all living beings.
After all, she still had a matched mate from the Succubus Clan wandering somewhere beyond the outer domains, scavenging scrap.
She still hadn’t managed to contact him. Who knew whether he had returned yet?
After ending the call, Rory immediately ordered a large batch of live sea beasts through her light-brain.
An hour later, the delivery arrived at the manor.
She called several members of the guard team to help process the sea beasts. There was no way she could handle that many alone.
After teaching the guards how to properly clean and prepare them, she moved on to mixing seasonings.
She planned to make multiple varieties—spicy dried fish, shredded cod, crispy fish bones, fish jerky...
Not just for the Firebird Empress. Since she was already making them, she wanted to prepare some for herself as snacks.
It had been a long time since she last made these.
By the time the guards finished processing the sea beasts, Rory’s seasonings were ready.
She began marinating the fish.
Though they were essentially fish, their appearance was nothing like the ones she had seen back on Blue Star. In the interstellar era, beastfolk didn’t bother classifying them by species—they were all simply called sea beasts.
The kitchen was fully equipped with every tool imaginable.
As soon as the marinated fish hit the oil, a bold, domineering fragrance filled the air.
Beastfolk with keen senses immediately caught the scent.
"Rory, what are you making? It smells incredible!" Vincent, who had been working, stepped out of his room, drawn by the aroma. Even Jasper, who had been training, couldn’t resist coming over.
Only Xarion, who had no sense of smell, remained lying in his crystal coffin.
"I made something delicious. Once it’s done, you can all try it." Rory lifted a batch of golden, crispy fried fish from the pot and transferred it to another pan for stir-frying.
Vincent and Jasper stepped forward and took the utensils from her hands.
"Rory, tell us what to do. We’ll handle it." This kind of work should be theirs.
"Don’t you have work and training to do?"
"I can train later," Jasper said firmly. "I won’t let you tire yourself."
Vincent added, "My meeting is over. The remaining work can wait."
Since both insisted, Rory didn’t argue further. She guided them through the remaining steps. When the spicy dried fish was finally done, Rory tasted a piece.
The numbing heat and aroma were exactly like what she remembered from Blue Star.
The taste of home. It was perfect.
Vincent and Jasper tried some as well.
The intense spice made their faces flush red. Their tongues tingled uncomfortably—yet the flavor was addictive, intoxicating in a way that reminded them of that night’s fruit wine.
The more they ate, the more they craved.
"Rory, let’s have this for dinner," Vincent suggested. The shredded fish and dried fish were irresistible.
"Then let’s make more."
With Vincent and Jasper helping, Rory ordered another batch of sea beasts, tipping extra star-coins for expedited delivery.
By evening, when Yuel returned, he smelled the rich fragrance the moment he entered the manor. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
He hurried inside.
"Rory, did you make something delicious?"
Rory came out carrying a plate of shredded cod and held a strip up to his lips. "Try it. Jasper, Vincent, and I made shredded sea-beast meat."
She had prepared several flavors—honey glaze, Thai sweet chili...
Yuel leaned forward and took a bite, his tongue deliberately brushing against her fingertip.
"So fragrant."
The fish was fragrant. She was even more so.
Rory’s face flushed instantly. He could flirt anywhere, anytime.
"If you like it, go wash your hands. We’re about to eat."
She pulled her hand back and turned toward the kitchen.
"Rory." Yuel caught her wrist and leaned close to her ear. "You didn’t forget what you promised me this morning, did you?"
As he spoke, he loosened the tie at his collar—a seemingly casual gesture that was dangerously seductive.
Fortunately, she had already seen Vincent do something similar earlier today. Otherwise, she might not have survived it. "I remember. Go wash your hands."
She urged him calmly and hurried back to the kitchen.
Yuel frowned slightly as he watched her go.
Was it just his imagination? Why did it feel like she was... immune to him now? That earlier dazed, admiring look was gone.
He headed to wash up, puzzled.
Dinner was soon laid out in abundance.
Jasper went to call Xarion.
Though Xarion couldn’t taste anything and usually preferred nutritional supplements for convenience, he still climbed out of his crystal coffin at the summons.
After all, it was his Female Master who had sent the snake to fetch him.
He adjusted his slightly rumpled white clothing. It would be disrespectful to appear disheveled before her.
Once ready, he glanced weakly at Jasper. "Brother, when are you reaching Rank Ten?"
Jasper hadn’t expected that question. "Why are you asking?"
"So you can bond with our Female Master sooner," Xarion spoke flatly. "Once you bond, it’ll finally be someone else’s turn. I’m at the end of the line. I’m really in a hurry to die. Could you speed it up?"
Jasper: "..."
He would also very much like Xarion to die. But was that something he could accelerate at will?
He walked off with a dark expression. Xarion followed lazily into the dining room.
Yuel was already seated beside Rory, watching her with undisguised intensity. In front of the other males, he made no effort to hide his desire.
Rory focused on eating, pretending not to notice.
Vincent ignored him.
Jasper had no interest in engaging.
But Xarion, after sitting across from Yuel, studied him with dull, lifeless eyes.
His voice was weak, but his words were sharp. "Aren’t you a plant-type beastman? Why do you look so... slutty? Even more than the Succubus Clan."
Vincent and Jasper nearly choked trying not to laugh.
Xarion continued calmly. "That look in your eyes isn’t hunger for food. It’s hunger to devour our Female Master."
Rory thought to herself—this household’s bravest member was definitely Xarion.
He feared neither death nor consequences, and his mouth was vicious.
Yuel, sitting beside her, actually smiled.
But the smile was chilling.
"So what if I am? I’m only like this for my Female Master. That’s intimacy between us. A male who spends all day thinking about how to die wouldn’t understand. You can envy me all you like."
