Interstellar Beast World: All My Husbands Are Powerful and Rich!-Chapter 145: He’s trying to seduce Female Master!
The banquet garden was vast—so large that even a disturbance like Mindy Lane’s barely caused a ripple. Music continued, crystal lamps shimmered among exotic alien plants, and clusters of guests laughed beneath flowering vines as though nothing had happened.
With Mindy gone, Rory and Lola both felt as if the air had cleared.
Lola squeezed Rory’s hand and shot her a meaningful look. Then she turned to the two male partners behind her.
"I’m taking my sister-in-law for a walk. You don’t need to follow us."
Rory immediately understood and turned to Jasper and the others.
"Jasper, Nix—you take Xarion somewhere to rest for a bit. He looks tired. I’ll stroll around with Lola."
Nix watched Rory walk away and instinctively moved to follow, only to have Jasper stop him.
"Why are you stopping me?" Nix protested. "I need to protect Female Master."
Jasper pressed his lips together, gaze fixed on Rory’s retreating figure.
"Can’t you tell? She doesn’t want us following."
"But what if she runs into danger?" Nix was genuinely worried.
Leaning lazily against a pillar, Xarion straightened at last, his movements slow and loose.
"Are your brains made of mech components?" he drawled. "You only know how to follow direct orders?"
"If she doesn’t want us trailing her openly, then we follow secretly. Just don’t let her notice."
Before either of them could respond, his figure blurred—turning into a streak of white light that shot after Rory.
Jasper instantly transformed into a small snake and slipped after him.
"Hey! Wait for me!"
Nix shifted into his true form as well—but deliberately shrank himself to the size of a kitten so Rory wouldn’t notice. Unfortunately, he wasn’t as fast as Xarion. It took him a while to find the wolf and the snake hiding in the flowerbeds.
None of them realized Rory hadn’t noticed the wolf, cat, and snake concealed among the blossoms.
She was too busy staring at someone standing not far away.
Her eyes widened.
"It’s him."
"You’ve met him before?" Lola whispered excitedly.
Rory nodded slowly, gaze fixed on the silver-haired man.
"Yes. A long time ago."
Under a cascade of blooming wisteria stood Lian, the young patriarch of the Nine-Tailed Sky Fox Clan.
He wore flowing white robes that shimmered like snow beneath sunlight. His silver hair fell over his shoulders like liquid moonlight, stirred gently by the breeze. His features were exquisitely refined—almost unreal in their perfection. Skin pale as carved jade, brows and eyes as delicate as ink paintings.
His clear eyes seemed to hold entire galaxies within them, yet there lingered a faint detachment—as if he did not quite belong to the mortal world.
Lola immediately smelled gossip. She clutched Rory’s arm eagerly.
"Tell me! How do you know Lian?"
The Nine-Tailed Sky Fox Clan did not belong to the Empire or the Four Great Domains. They resided on Starlight Isle, said to be closest to the Beast God.
Rory had grown up in Veridan City.
How could she possibly have met him?
"I once ran into him while hunting an alien beast," Rory replied softly. "Back then, he was only Rank Seven."
Now he stood at peak Rank Ten.
"He must have suppressed his Rank," Lola concluded immediately.
Why else would someone of his level appear in Veridan City hunting mid-tier beasts?
Rory had suspected the same.

Hidden among the flowers, Nix narrowed his eyes.
"Who’s that male?"
Why did he have to be so good-looking?
Was he deliberately standing there to attract Rory’s attention?
The small snake coiled on the ground whispered, "That’s Lian—the young patriarch of the Nine-Tailed Sky Fox Clan. He rarely leaves Starlight Isle. You probably haven’t seen him before."
"So that’s Lian..." Nix had heard the name.
Nearby, Xarion lay flat on the ground and muttered lazily, "Bad luck."
Jasper nodded in agreement. "He’s here to celebrate the Empress Matriarch’s birthday and he’s dressed all in white. Very inauspicious."
Even Xarion had changed out of pure white today, wearing muted gray-blue instead.
"Right. Inauspicious," Nix agreed solemnly.
Then he lowered his voice.
"Jasper... you don’t think Female Master actually likes him, do you?"
The Nine-Tailed Sky Fox Clan was nothing like the ordinary Nine-Tailed Red Foxes.
He had heard the Sky Fox males were truly seductive—masters at charming others.
And this one was their young patriarch.
A fox among foxes.
They were already struggling to compete with Vincent and Yuel. The demon race hadn’t even appeared yet.
If Lian joined the fray too... how would he and Jasper ever compete for Rory’s affection?
Jasper remained silent.
So did Xarion.
Nix’s heart sank.
"I heard Sky Fox males are extremely good at seduction..."
From the ground, Xarion spoke again, tone lazy but deadly. "Should I kill him?"
Jasper’s tail snapped around his mouth instantly.
"Don’t say nonsense. He hasn’t done anything wrong. If you kill him for no reason, Qian—Rory—will be angry."
They couldn’t just slaughter anyone they disliked. That would make them villains.
Xarion fell silent.
Suddenly Nix hissed in alarm. "Look! Look! He’s—he’s going to seduce Female Master!"
Jasper and Xarion both looked up.
Lian, who had been standing quietly beneath the wisteria, adjusted his sleeves and began walking toward Rory and Lola.
His gaze settled on Rory, clear eyes curved in a gentle smile.
"This lady has been looking at me for quite some time. Is there something you wish to say?"
His voice was like meltwater flowing over jade steps—clear, cool, and impossibly smooth.
Lola immediately retreated a step and pretended to inspect a blooming violet crystal flower.
Rory shot her a helpless look. What kind of loyalty was that?
Meeting Lian’s smiling gaze, Rory forced a polite smile.
"I thought Young Master Lian looked familiar, but I couldn’t remember where we’d met. That’s why I looked a bit longer. Sorry for disturbing your flower viewing. I’ll take my leave."
But Lian had no intention of letting her go so easily. He had been standing there waiting for her to approach.
She had come close—yet lacked the courage to greet him.
So he had taken the initiative. Now she wanted to flee?
That wouldn’t do.
"Have you remembered?" he asked softly. "Where did we meet?"
"Yes. In Veridan City. A few years ago. You probably don’t remember."
She had been injured while hunting an alien beast. Suddenly, the beast had collapsed—and a vial of medicine had appeared beside her.
When she looked up from a distance, she had seen him.
He hadn’t spoken, only glanced at her before leaving.
"Who says I don’t remember?" The smile in Lian’s eyes deepened.
He remembered perfectly.
A mere Rank Two female daring to enter the forest alone to hunt a Rank Three alien beast—bloodied, stubborn, fearless.
He had watched as she nearly died beneath the creature’s jaws before intervening and killing it.
And he had left her a healing agent.
"At the time, I had urgent matters and couldn’t ask your name," he continued. "Is it too late to ask now?"
He hadn’t expected to be confined to his clan for years afterward. Nor had he expected to see her again here, in the Firebird Clan.
"My name is Rory." She inclined her head slightly.
"And thank you—for killing that beast. And for the medicine."
"It was my honor to help you." Lian activated his wrist terminal. "May I add you as a contact?"
Hidden in the bushes, Nix nearly exploded.
"I knew it! He planned this! He’s trying to seduce Female Master!"
