Interstellar Beast World: All My Husbands Are Powerful and Rich!-Chapter 205: Unexpected benefits
By the time Rory finished packing, Xarion had already returned from chasing Aren.
"You came back alone?" Rory asked, surprised when she saw him enter the room by himself. "Where’s Aren?"
Xarion looked slightly irritated as he explained. "He ran too fast. I couldn’t catch him."
A succubus—how could he possibly move that quickly?
Xarion stepped closer and lowered his head apologetically.
"I’m sorry, Female Master. I couldn’t bring him back."
Rory didn’t blame him. It wasn’t as if Xarion had failed on purpose.
"It’s alright," she said. "I’ll just send him a message on my communicator and ask him to come back."
She opened her device and sent Aren a message.
Rory:
Aren, I’m not sick. You don’t need to look for medicine for me. Come back right away.
She still had several questions she wanted to ask him.
Meanwhile, Aren was already on his way toward Beast God Mountain. When he saw Rory’s message, a wave of emotion surged through his chest.
The Female Master must have said that just to keep him from taking risks.
Aren:
Female Master, you don’t need to worry about me.
I will definitely return with medicine that can cure you.
Rory stared at the message with wide eyes. "...Great."
Now she had fooled him so thoroughly that even telling the truth wouldn’t make him believe her.
Without hesitation, she initiated a video call.
If text didn’t convince him, surely seeing her in person would.
The call connected quickly.
Rory’s projection appeared before Aren—her complexion healthy and rosy.
"Aren, earlier I only pretended to be sick to trick you into revealing your identity. You need to come back right now. I’m perfectly fine. I don’t need you to find medicine."
Aren looked at the projection of Rory in silence, his gaze trembling. "Female Master... how could I tell if you’re telling the truth? I’m really worried."
These past few days, she had been constantly sleeping. He had secretly visited her several times.
There was no way that could be fake.
To Aren, Rory was still lying—only to keep him from risking his life. The thought filled him with overwhelming gratitude.
"Female Master," he said softly, "I am your match. Doing anything for you is only natural."
"Don’t worry about me. Just wait for me to come back."
Before Rory could say another word, Aren ended the call. Then he continued rushing toward Beast God Mountain.
The Female Master’s condition was clearly so weak... And yet, just for him, she had even applied makeup to make herself look healthier before calling.
He could not possibly betray such kindness.
Back in the room, Rory stared at the abruptly disconnected call.
Then she slowly turned her head to look at Nix and Xarion beside her.
"So where do you think he’s going to find medicine for me?" Rory asked, frowning slightly. "He wouldn’t do something reckless... would he?"
Xarion shook his head.
"Female Master, you don’t need to worry about Aren. He’s already Rank Eleven, and he spends a lot of time operating beyond the borders." 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
"His survival ability is extremely strong. Even if he’s searching for medicine, he won’t run into real danger."
Xarion had heard rumors about Aren before—how he frequently slipped into insect territory just to steal their warships and mechs.
A beastman who could move freely in and out of insect territory... aside from Beast God Mountain, there was almost nowhere that could trap someone like that.
Surely he wouldn’t actually go to Beast God Mountain, would he?
"He’s already Rank Eleven?" Rory asked, surprised.
Vincent had previously told her that Aren was Rank Ten. She didn’t realize he had already advanced.
Xarion nodded firmly. "Yes. I’ve never fought him seriously with abilities, but judging by the speed he left with... there’s no doubt he’s Rank Eleven."
"If that’s the case, he shouldn’t run into any real danger," Rory said, visibly more at ease.
She didn’t suggest chasing after him.
If even Xarion couldn’t catch him, there was no way she—only Rank Six—would manage to follow. She probably wouldn’t even see a strand of his hair.
"What I need to do now is go find Yuel," she said decisively. "As for Aren... when he comes back, I’ll explain everything to him properly."
It was getting late.
After everything that had happened today, Rory was starting to feel tired.
She declined Nix and Xarion’s company, heading to the bathroom alone for a shower.
Afterward, she went to the training room and began absorbing energy from more than a dozen Rank Seven beast cores.
When she finished absorbing the last one, a spark of surprise flashed through her.
Her ability... was on the verge of breaking through. This time, she didn’t even need to hunt beasts.
As long as she absorbed enough beast cores, she could advance directly.
Being pregnant—even with a vine child—apparently came with unexpected benefits.
Rory felt delighted. At this rate, if she absorbed a few more cores, she might break through to Rank Seven tonight.
With that thought, she immediately pulled out several more Rank Seven cores and began drawing out their energy.
Outside the room, Nix, Jasper, and Xarion waited in the hallway.
When Rory still hadn’t emerged after a long while, Nix grew uneasy.
"Rory said she was going to absorb beast cores," he muttered. "Why has it taken so long?"
"Nothing bad happened, right?"
Originally, the three of them had come to ask her which one of them would accompany her tonight.
But after waiting for so long without any sign of her, Nix couldn’t help worrying.
Jasper pressed his lips together.
"If Rory were in trouble, she would find a way to notify us," he said calmly. "Since there’s no movement, it’s probably because she hasn’t finished absorbing the energy yet."
"Let’s wait a little longer."
Xarion didn’t speak.
He simply stood quietly beside the door.
A moment earlier, he had tested the room with his spiritual perception.
There had been no abnormalities inside. The Female Master should be safe.
Still... judging from Jasper’s expression earlier, it seemed he might be hiding something.
Something related to the Female Master?
More than an hour later, Rory slowly opened her eyes.
A faint streak of red lightning flashed through her pupils.
Now Rank Seven, Rory had changed in subtle but striking ways.
Her sleek brown hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall. Though her features remained the same, they seemed as if a divine sculptor had taken a chisel to them, refining every line with exquisite precision.
Her skin glowed with the smooth luster of the finest white jade—flawless, radiant under the light.
She had truly reached Rank Seven.
And the breakthrough had come so easily.
Rory stood up, smiling, and walked toward the door.
Outside, the three men heard movement inside and immediately knocked.
"Rory!" Nix called first. "Are you alright?"
Hearing his voice, Rory quickly opened the door.
When she saw all three of them standing there, she blinked in surprise.
"Why are all of you gathered outside my room?" She smiled as she asked.
But Nix, Jasper, and Xarion simply stared at her in stunned silence.
They had only been apart for a few hours... And the Female Master had already advanced to Rank Seven.
Suppressing the shock in his heart, Xarion spoke first. "Female Master... congratulations on reaching Rank Seven."
Nix looked even more incredulous. "Rory, you’re amazing. You advanced another Rank in such a short time."
And without even fighting! What kind of talent was this?
On her way out, Rory had already prepared an explanation.
Looking at the three men standing in the doorway, she said calmly, "The reason I was able to advance to Rank Seven so smoothly... is thanks to Terry."
Terry was the child she shared with Yuel—though the vine hadn’t even grown yet.
But Xarion and the others already knew the baby’s name. "Terry helped you?" Nix exclaimed.
Not only him—even Xarion and Jasper looked stunned.
Rory nodded. "I didn’t tell you before because I didn’t want you to worry. But ever since I discovered I was pregnant, my absorption speed for beast cores has increased. And that day, Terry even told me in my dream that he would help me advance. That’s why I was able to break through so quickly."
This wasn’t a fabricated excuse. Everything Rory had said... was the truth.
