Invincibility Begins with Mastery of Fist Techniques-Chapter 113 - 112: Practiced
「At the same time, in another district.」
The tall yet exquisitely beautiful Liu Lingjun stood with a Secret Inspection Bureau Symbiont named Xu Kai Ze. Four Celestial Demon People had them surrounded, closing in from all sides.
"Looks like we're trapped. Four Celestial Demon People… this is definitely a problem. According to intel from HQ, if we can't break away soon, we'll be in danger."
Xu Kai Ze said, frowning.
"Then let's just kill these four and figure things out from there. I asked you guys to pair me with someone with ranged capabilities, but I didn't expect to get cornered right at the start."
"Did you remember what I told you? Hold your breath. You should be fine for a few minutes, right? Though I'm not sure how much good it will do."
Liu Lingjun asked Xu Kai Ze beside her.
"Understood."
At her words, Xu Kai Ze nodded gravely, apparently aware of some of Liu Lingjun's terrifying abilities.
"You'll have to fend for yourself in a moment. I told them I didn't need anyone with me. Now you're just in the way."
Liu Lingjun said resignedly, drawing two Snake Swords from her waist. A formless, intangible Psychic Power quietly spread out. It was difficult to perceive and exerted no pressure, but its ability to penetrate was immense. The oppressive shadow formed by the four Celestial Demon People acting in concert did nothing to hinder its spread.
WHOOSH!!
Just as the two were whispering, the four surrounding Celestial Demon People, eerie grins on their faces, suddenly charged toward them.
HUFF!!
Liu Lingjun took a deep breath, her chest swelling, and then exhaled forcefully.
Heated by her scorching body temperature and combined with some sort of special liquid component within her body, her exhalation instantly atomized into a swirling cloud of mist.
'What is this?'
As the mist exhaled by Liu Lingjun struck the Celestial Demon People, they suddenly sensed an unfamiliar danger.
'Something's wrong with this gas!'
'This feeling…'
'It's poison?!'
The pupils of the Celestial Demon People contracted. They reacted instantly, shutting off their breathing, halting their assault, and rapidly retreating from the range of the mist.
HUFF!!
One of the Celestial Demon People puffed out his chest and exhaled a great gust of air. His immense lung capacity instantly dispersed the lingering mist.
"I don't know how you can hide something like that inside your body, but you're far too naive. Did you really think mere poison gas could possibly…"
However, before the Celestial Demon Person could finish speaking, his body jolted violently.
He could clearly feel something boring into his body through his skin. A powerful sense of fatigue and sluggishness quickly came over him.
Then came a strong sense of suffocation. The flow of his blood and energy fell into disarray, his heart rate sped up, and an irrepressible dizziness clouded his mind.
Meanwhile, Xu Kai Ze, standing next to Liu Lingjun, felt the effects even more keenly. Even though he had held his breath in advance and wasn't the main target of her psychic infiltration, he was already losing control of his body and felt as if he were about to collapse.
'It can actually enter the body through your pores?!'
He gazed at the woman's back, a faint sense of terror creeping over him.
'This woman… she's a monster. How can she host something like that in her body and still be so vigorous and full of life?'
'If she threw aside all restraints and went on a killing spree, how terrifying would the carnage be?'
'Is this still the Martial Dao? Barring a breakthrough, what kind of individual could defeat an existence like this?'
'So this is the current successor of Miao Ling Gu Martial Arts.'
From birth, their bodies are nourished by various secret elixirs. As they age, their physical structures and traits are altered through long-term, inhuman, and terrifying Cultivation methods, granting them extreme resistance to toxins.
At this stage, they become able to host specially cultivated, virulent microorganisms, imbuing their attacks with poison. These microorganisms eventually become a part of their bodies, multiplying endlessly within them to become a special ability they can call upon at will.
Finally, if someone in Cultivation of Gu Martial Arts manages to break through to the realm of Holy and Bright, these "Gu" that have become part of their body will even be influenced by it. Even after leaving the host's body, they can still be mentally controlled by the Gu Martial Arts practitioner for a short time, as long as they are within the range of the Heart's Desire Bursting Out.
'In other words, unlike ordinary poison gas, as long as someone is contaminated within the area of Liu Lingjun's Heart's Desire Bursting Out, the "Gu" can be deftly manipulated to exert their maximum destructive power!'
'No wonder she was able to defeat the successor of the Southern Eight Sects and become the champion.'
Xu Kai Ze's vision began to blur. He slowly crumpled to the ground, the last thing he saw being the flickering silhouette of a figure wielding twin swords…
About thirty seconds later, he felt someone remove his gas mask, shove a pill into his mouth, and smear a foul, pungent salve under his nose, which snapped him back to consciousness instantly.
He then saw Liu Lingjun crouching beside him, watching him through her beautiful, narrowed phoenix eyes. Behind her, the four Celestial Demon People had been hacked into more than a dozen pieces, and the thick stench of blood filled the air.
"This antidote is expensive, you know. What a waste."
He heard Liu Lingjun sigh.
A shiver ran down his spine. He immediately scrambled up from the ground, looking at Liu Lingjun with a peculiar gaze.
"Don't look at me like that. The 'Gu' I naturally cultivate in my body don't have such a terrifying effect, especially not against these Celestial Demon People with their powerful Life Force and resistance."
"This is my 'trump card' that I brought along when you all recruited me, meant specifically for killing enemies. The quantity is limited, though; I can probably only use it two more times. If I carry too much, even I can't handle it. I would never use something like this in a real martial arts match. You can think of it as the difference between a Martial Artist fighting empty-handed versus one carrying a weapon."
"If it were the 'Gu' I naturally cultivate, I could control them within the range of my Heart's Desire Bursting Out so they wouldn't affect you at all. But with my current strength, that kind of 'Lifebound Worm' can only really affect the stamina of a top-tier Martial Artist. Against Martial Artists with exceptionally powerful physiques, the effect is even weaker. Take that monster from the Nine Dragons Sect, for example—it took a ton of effort to bring him down. So don't think I'm invincible. A few more attacks like this, and I'll have a real headache on my hands."
Liu Lingjun explained casually, standing up as she spoke. From her tactical satchel, she pulled out a small bottle of gasoline and a lighter.
She poured gasoline over the dismembered corpses of the Celestial Demon People, then used the lighter to set each piece ablaze. Her movements were incredibly practiced, smooth and fluid; one could tell this wasn't the first time she had done this.
TSSSS!
The sound of searing flesh came from the remains of the Celestial Demon People. Liu Lingjun stared at the burning pieces, as if judging whether they were charred enough.
A peculiar smell drifted over. Watching Liu Lingjun's practiced movements, even as a "professional" himself, Xu Kai Ze couldn't help but swallow hard, a knot of fear tightening in his gut.
'Just what kind of person is she…?'
