Vince Trujillo the great demon truly was in the air, and he spoke, telling Yusuf Zuck and Shane Ray that as long as they did not continue forward, he would let them leave this barrier and not trouble them further.

Yusuf Zuck’s eyes shifted, and Shane Ray also showed a look of contemplation— not continue forward?

Then what lies ahead? Why won’t they be allowed to continue forward?

"Let’s leave here first." Shane Ray signaled to Yusuf Zuck.

Yusuf Zuck shook his head. Although he was unpredictable and didn’t always play by the rules, and though he had many flaws, he always kept his word. If he promised something, he had to follow through!

Therefore, if he pretended to agree not to move forward and they were set free, then he truly wouldn’t continue forward because that’s not his style. If they showed trust, he had to reciprocate.

"Senior, can you give us a reason not to continue forward?" Yusuf Zuck loudly retorted.

"It’s my duty; I cannot divulge the reason!" Vince Trujillo continued to speak. Though his voice was icy, it was still a form of courtesy, as he could completely refuse to explain or converse.

"Alright, then we won’t continue forward. Senior, please open the barrier!" Yusuf Zuck nodded.

With a "whoosh," the barrier was suddenly removed, and the sand sculpture beasts rapidly transformed into whirling sand, returning to their original spots, once again becoming motionless statues.

Yusuf Zuck and Shane Ray looked up at the sky, finding no trace of Vince Trujillo the great demon; there was nothing in the sky, and ahead was still an endless array of sand sculpture beasts.

"Yusuf, let’s move quickly while he isn’t here; there’s definitely something strange ahead. Let’s go check it out." Shane Ray whispered.

"No." Yusuf Zuck immediately shook his head: "They have already opened the barrier to let us out; we must keep our trust. Instead, let’s avoid this area and retreat for a while."

Yusuf Zuck disregarded what Shane Ray thought, and upon saying this, he followed the original path back. Shane Ray inwardly praised this brother-in-law for being a true man.

Moments later, they were far from the sand sculpted area. Then, Yusuf Zuck moved to the left; if they weren’t allowed to continue forward, surely he could move to the left?

However, after walking a few hours, the scenery brightened more and more, with the desert seemingly coming to an end, occasionally revealing oases and clear lakes.

Six hours later, boundless green grasslands appeared, with fresh air, lush wild grass, and even the occasional sight of hopping rabbits and flocks of wild birds taking flight.

"Yellow sand, oasis, this place is peculiar." Shane Ray frowned.

"Regardless, let’s move forward and see." Despite sensing peculiarity, Yusuf Zuck continued forward.

After flying for about two more days, a forest appeared on the horizon, seeming like a natural barrier, blocking visibility of what lay beyond.

"Let’s fly over it; don’t enter the forest. I have a strong feeling there’s something strange." Yusuf Zuck suggested as he ascended, aiming to soar over the forest from above.

However, as he ascended, suddenly Shane Ray exclaimed, "Yusuf, look quickly."

Yusuf Zuck was perplexed and followed Shane Ray’s indication, only to be shocked at what he saw— at the forest’s edge, a dozen people were hanging!

Indeed, a dozen people hung from the trees, already dead, tongues extended unnaturally long, eyes missing, and blood dripping from their feet.

They seemed to have been intentionally hung here, with ancient tree vines wrapped around their necks dancing in the wind.

"Those are members of the Boucher Clan!" Shane Ray gasped.

The Boucher Clan was among the Ten Great Clans, with many members present this time.

"Let’s not worry about them, let’s fly over the forest." Yusuf Zuck too had a foreboding feeling, advising Shane Ray not to approach, but instead continued onward.

They soon flew above the forest, surveying ahead, seeing nothing but endless forest.

Just as they continued flying forward, suddenly, an unusual energy wave rushed forth, followed by a gust of wind, making all the trees whisper.

Soon thereafter, countless vibrant green vines emerged from the forest, slithering like lightning-fast snakes toward them!

Shane Ray shouted, drawing the Treasure Sword to cut them, but Yusuf Zuck firmly grabbed his arm and swiftly retreated!

Once out of the forest, the green vines disappeared, the wind ceased, and the trees grew silent!

"We cannot proceed further. This place is like the sand sculpture beast garden; once ensnared by these vines, a barrier will surely appear, trapping us again." Yusuf Zuck squinted and said, "If I’m not mistaken, this place has five regions: Gold, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. The earlier region was the Earth Area, its leader Vince Trujillo the great demon is amiable and dislikes killing, hence allowing us to leave."

"However, the leader of this Wood Area is undoubtedly fond of killing; you saw the dozen hanged at the forest edge. Entrants are doomed, and we lack the ability to break the barrier set by this Wood Area leader!"

"Your analysis is spot on, close call!" Shane Ray was also wise, immediately realizing the danger had they fought the vines, they’d be trapped once the barrier formed!

"The areas beyond these five regions must be where we wish to go!" Shane Ray deeply inhaled.

"Not necessarily; it might only lead to the second layer. Don’t forget the altar has nine layers; perhaps there are regions beyond these five, like the Wind Area, Thunder Area, Electric Area, Light Area, Dark Area, and such!"

"Yusuf, I noticed you, not from Patrick Ruiz’s realm, but you seem to know a lot?" Shane Ray curiously asked.

Yusuf Zuck shook his head, realizing compared to the people from Patrick Ruiz’s realm— dignified, pampered individuals born with everything— he was but a mere mortal who fought from nothing.

All these years, he had visited many such adventuring places, allowing him insights into the essence of the situation here.

"What do we do now?" Shane Ray completely regarded Yusuf Zuck as the backbone.

"I have a plan!" Yusuf Zuck suddenly grinned, "Previously in Vince Trujillo’s Earth Area, I couldn’t control the sand sculpture beasts, but here..." Yusuf Zuck smirked, not finishing his sentence before suddenly producing the Hell God’s Arrow, then fired nine consecutive shots.

Each arrow was an Arrow of Destiny, each one firmly embedded in the trunk of a massive Sky Reaching Ancient Tree!

As the arrows pierced the ancient trees, they quickly dissolved away.

Shane Ray didn’t understand Yusuf’s intent, but Yusuf Zuck silently waited!
