Island God: Going From Level 1 To World Ruler-Chapter 73: Intruder
***Author Note***
Hey! The main reason for this author note is to inform all of my readers of a recent technical error in my chaps.
You may have noticed the publishing hours recently have been all over the place. This is not because of a shortage of Chapters, so I’d like to clarify that firstly.
The reason why is because an informant told me that some Chapters may be published under a specific word count. After their immense verification and trust in their words, I decided to try it out.
But I have discovered that this "new rule" is not in place and that the word count for Chapters are still the normal amount.
Moving forward, all Chapters will be the same length as before (unless extra long).
Sorry for the delay and miscommunication. This disclaimer will be in all of the shortened Chapters.
To make up for it, there will be an extra Chapter release tomorrow!

Hundreds of miles south of the Karak-O mountain range, a young man could be seen walking through the forest.
"I’ve finally made it... an abandoned island where only a single Player lives." The young man said with a grin on his face, his eyes wide as though excitement surged through his veins.
He was wearing a white button-up shirt and black dress pants. His hair was brunette and short, and a pair of glasses sat atop the ridge of his nose.
He looked like a nerd. His two front teeth were larger than the rest, mimicking the pattern of a beaver.
He moved through the forest with a slouched posture, breathing from his mouth like a pig.
Finally, he arrived at an opening. He quickly pushed the bushes out of the way to make space for himself to walk forward.
When he touched the bushes, they all suddenly transformed.
Each bush lost its color as if something was draining it. The bushes spoiled, curling inwards as they turned yellow, brown, and then into ash.
Finally, he placed the palm of his hand against a tree and faced the open area.
As he panted during his rest, the tree he was touching slowly began to grow larger and larger.
Eventually, it turned three times larger than its original size. Then, it suddenly began to decay. It turned old and then into a black dust that piled onto the ground.
"The old base location of Midas, the Player." The young man said with a grin.
A small buzzing noise could be heard zooming around his head. He raised his finger, and a puny fruit-fly landed on top.
"Thanks, Zett. Since the beginning of this game on Fell-Terra, you have helped me more than anyone else!" The young man said, his eyes focusing on Midas’s old base.
The entire area was nothing more than a massive crater to the average observer. However, it seemed this person somehow understood that it was once a base.
’Since I can control and see the age of something just by touching it, I can see the entire past of this land. I’ve seen the griffin that destroyed this place... and also every other important detail about it.’ His grin only grew larger. He began to chuckle to himself, overjoyed.
A few hundred feet behind him, a few bushes rattled.
He instantly turned to face what was behind him, his ears perking up with alarm.
However, nothing was there upon checking. It just looked to be a normal pair of bushes.
When the nerdy young man turned his head back around, however, the bushes moved again. This time, silently.
The head of a kid popped up. A kid who was no older than twelve years of age.
His eyes were narrow, his eyebrows were furrowed, his gaze filled with ambition.
He was indeed Leonidas Moonvale.
’I just made it to this island this morning...’ He thought to himself. He had been walking all day to get here. ’Now that I am here, there is another Player here as well!? I hate Player’s...’ He said inwardly.
It was understandable, since the concept of a player was completely foreign to him. All he knew from his experience was that players were people with greedy souls and evil minds. Dark intentions filled their conscience, and they used their powers for selfish gain.
After meeting with Dorian, Leon managed to gather enough money to rent a small boat. One that could barely fit two people. Since he already had some currency on him, it didn’t take him long to gather together enough for a boat.
After that, he set sail over the Origin Sea. Also known as the southern sea.
His goal was to reach Demadur Island, the place that Dorian had suggested for him to reach.
During his journey, however, fate seemed to have other plans.
His boat capsized in the middle of the sea, but not because of harsh waves or abrupt currents. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Instead, a massive red octopus the size of a hill had grabbed a hold of the boat--jerking it down into the depths of the deep ocean.
How did Leon manage to survive? Not even he knew the answer. All he knew was that when he woke up this morning, he was on the shores of Demadur Island.
He didn’t know whether it was good or bad fate that dictated his recent past, but he wasn’t trying to dwell on that right now.
His mission of finding whatever Dorian was talking about on this island was most important.
’I need to find the starry path.’ Leon said to himself.
"Zett..." The nerdy young man standing before the massive crater suddenly spoke, "I’m not fully secure with that bush making noise a second ago. Could you please check it for me real quick, just in case? Be back immediately though... I still need to find Midas’s real base."
The fly on his finger nodded, rubbing his hands together. Then, he blitzed into the air--buzzing like an invisible sound.
Leon’s eyes widened with fear as he saw the puny thing b-lining straight toward him.
It flew right above his head, stopping in mid-air and peering down at him.
’I’m... screwed.’ Leon dreadfully thought.
