It All Started With Hatred-Chapter 166: She knew nothing

"Sofia." Lana warned her sister.

"What. I’m just worried about the family bloodline." Sofia said as if she said nothing.

Pearl felt that the situation was too much for her to handle. She needed to leave before more happened."Excuses me. I need to go to the bathroom." She said as she stood up avoiding eye contact with everyone.

Issac turned to look at Pearl before he too stood up following her without saying anything.

Petal turned to look at Ethan who reached for her hand from underneath the table. Telling her to not be scared.

"Are you alright?" Issac asked, cupping her face.

"I... I’m fine." Pearl replied, holding her tears back. She didn’t want to worry Issac.

Issac’s hands turned into fists. His aunt has gone too far this time.``You don’t need to act strong when you’re with me." Issac said, kissing her forehead. And that was all Pearl needed before she started to cry in his arms.

They were now in his room. Issac had brought her here so she could rest. He felt bad hearing crying like this.

"Issac. Will I hate some for what I was?" Pearl suddenly asked.

"Are you still thinking about that? Of course not. I love you Pearl. That is something that’s never going to change." Issac replied as he wiped her tears.

Pearl lowered her head as she touched her stomach."What if it’s because of the baby? What if you thought that I’m going to be a bad mother for him because of my past." She asked. Her voice was barely above the whisper. But he heard every single word.

Issac understood her fears and doubts. He was to blame too. He hadn’t asked her hand in marriage to this moment. She’s the mother of his child now and the woman that he loves. It’s only natural for them to get married. But first, he has to make some preparations to make it special.

"Nothing like that will ever happen. With or without the baby. I’d still love it and it is a fact. " Issac said, pecking her lips."Now stop crying. you’ll have a headache later." He added kissing her forehead.

Removing her shoes. Issac laid her on the bed. Warping his arms around her. Because of her pregnancy. Pearl tends to sleep a lot throughout the day. At times like this, it was a good thing for her. Especially after what happened. She should sleep and not think about her aunt’s side.

"Pearl is a very sensitive girl. Sofia. Be careful how you talk with people. " Lana said, heaving enough from her sister’s games.

Sofia raised an eyebrow. She was about to see something but Ethan cut her off.

"I think that is enough for tonight. Call it a night off. Aunt Sofia." Ethan said. emphasizing the word aunt

"Are you telling me to leave?" Sofia said as she stood up.

Petal looked at Ethan who looked annoyed with this woman’s presence. They seemed to hate each other. But why? She wondered.

"I’m only tolerating you for my mother’s sake. Don’t do things that you won’t like." Ethan warned her but Sofia wasn’t the kind of woman to back down.

Sofia let out a sarcastic laugh and said. "What are you going to do? Kill me like you killed your uncle. Your blood."

Petal’s body froze hearing this. Ethan killed his uncle?. She turned to look at him and noticed that he wasn’t affected by her word’s

"Your husband paid the price for betraying the family. Or did you forget that was the one behind my father’s death?" Ethan said. His voice compassed and relaxed as he held the wine cup in his hand sipping from it.

Hearing all this information. Petal felt her head spinning. It seemed that she knew nothing about this family.

Out of anger. Sofia gripped the knife that was on the table and tried to stab Ethan with it.

"SOFIA NO." Lana shouted seeing what her sister was about to do.

Petal’s eyes widened seeing what was about to happen. She stood up trying to protect him but he stopped her.

Ethan’s reflex was on time and he caught her wrist stopping her from killing him."I expect nothing less from you Sofia." Ethan said dropping the titles as he took the knife forcefully from her

The room was filled with bodyguards in less than a minute. Holding their guns pointing them at Sofia.

"Ethan." Jacob said approaching the stranger woman.

Standing up. Ethan let go of Sofia’s wrist."Everything is fine. Just a small family quarrel." He said, staring at his aunt.

Jacob nodded his head and ordered the bodyguards to lower their guns and leave the room.

"Sofia. Leave now and don’t ever come back to my house." Lana said feeling sad for saying these words. But after what Sofia did today. She can’t allow her to enter her home again. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

"I will make you regret everything you did. Ethan." Sofia threatened him before she stormed out of the house angry.

"I will go to my room. I need to rest." Lana excused herself and left the dining room leaving only Ethan and PetaI in the room.

Petal sighed looking at the empty room. She didn’t expect that tonight’s dinner would end up like this.

"Are you alright?" She heard Ethan ask and she nodded her head. It’s supposed to be her asking him that question. She wanted to know more about what his aunt said but not tonight.

That night. Ethan and PetaI slept in her room. While Petal was sleeping peacefully in his arms. Ethan barely closed his eyes.
