It All Started With Hatred-Chapter 173: Men doesn’t like to share
At dawn. Petal woke up shaking and her body drenched in a cold sweat. Sitting up on the bed. She reached to touch her cheeks that were covered with tears. She was crying in her sleep. She had a nightmare but she doesn’t remember it well.
Though her body was covered in snow. Her body never stopped shivering from the cold and the tears didn’t stop. She tried to block her feelings the whole day but her mind couldn’t. She needs time to feel sad, to cry more until she feels better. But this is not what she wants. She doesn’t want to show her feelings to anyone. She wants to be strong despite that. She was crying.
Petal felt very cold. The room wasn’t as warm as her room in the mansion. Getting off the bed she walked towards the fireplace and started to add more logs to the fire to warm the room before she went back to the bed covering her body with the blanket hoping that she will feel warm soon.
Ethan used to warm her body with his. Add more blankets. Hug her until she falls asleep again when she wakes up in the middle of the night. Thinking about this made her heart ache. If he hated her that much, why did he bother to warm her? Why did he bother to feel the coldness of her body and hands against his skin?
All of this didn’t make sense to her. Was he that twisted and she didn’t notice? He must be. Because that is the only reasonable answer for everything he did. She wondered if he enjoyed breaking her heart? Is happy now? Maybe he is celebrating his victory. But that won’t be long. Soon she will be celebrating too.
The room finally became warm enough for her to fall asleep. Curling her body into a fetal position as she slept. Her face wasn’t relaxed as she slept indicating that she was having a nightmare again.

Finishing the phone call with Ben. Jacob sighed. Walking towards the study room. He knocked on the door before he entered.
Ethan was sitting on the chair looking through the papers in his hands. Looked up staring at Jacob.
"I came here to inform you that Petal is staying at her uncle’s house. She needs time away from here." Jacob informed him.
Ethan didn’t comment. He only looked back at the papers in his hand but he wasn’t focusing on them. He wasn’t happy about Petal staying there. He doesn’t trust her uncle. Somehow he reminds him of Henry. The only difference is that he treats her well but he doesn’t know if he’s doing that or has a hidden agenda. He always keeps an eye on that man’s movements.
"Did she talk to you?" Ethan asked as he put the papers down on the desk.
"No. I tried to but she shut Me off. Petals aren’t the kind to show emotions. She doesn’t like the feeling of weakness. So she will find a way to let out her emotions other than crying." Jacob replied."I was wondering about this and for how long this life will go on and how you will prove to her that it was just to protect her?" He added asking.
Ethan leaned back against his chair as he lit up a cigarette." The plan wasn’t supposed to be like this. Rita is dead. So the underground society still thinks that Petal is under my protection. But Petal thinks that I betrayed her for revenge. This I’d the situation now. What I originally planned was to make everyone think that I was only playing with her and when they hear that I’m done with her they will think that they can use her now that she’s no longer mine. More enemies will appear and it will be easier to capture them and they will start to confess about each other." Ethan finished speaking and took a long puff from the cigarette before he let it out through his nose. He wasn’t a cigarette-addicted person. But whenever he is angry this is the only way to calm him down.
"I didn’t want to hurt her." He added taking another puff from the cigarette.
Jacob watched the man that everyone feared in agony because he broke the woman he loves. A sight not everyone can witness. But he did. "Not every plan goes accordingly. Now you just have to focus on your part and I will focus on mine." He said before he left the room.

"I didn’t understand why he did that? He could have simply explained to her." Lana spoke angrily about what Ethan did."And why am I not aware that Ethan was in a relationship with Rita?" She added asking.
Alice and Issac exchanged a look before they looked back at their mother.
"To answer the first part. Petal wasn’t going to believe him because she saw and heard him say these words. As for the second part. His relationship with Rita was only physical nothing more." Issac replied to his mother’s questions.
Lana messaged her forehead thinking about the mess that Ethan put himself in. She finally saw him happy. Ready to accept and let someone in his life only for him to ruin everything. Petal won’t trust anymore and more likely she will think about breaking Ethan heart just like he did to her and the revenge circle will start again,
"He has always been hopeless with women. If he told me it would have been easier. We, women, are simple. Just don’t hide anything from us and we will fully support you. But if a misunderstanding happens it will be difficult to fix things." Alice, who was quiet all the time, suddenly spoke.
Lana smiled. She liked her daughter’s side and she was right about it. But there’s only one thing she forgot. Men don’t like the idea of sharing.
Issac turns to look at his sister thinking about her words. What she meant was sharing everything. It’s good advice he thought to himself.
