Kagefij: Without spoiling, there’s not much I can say except that the story’s going in a great direction.
So, yes, 6 Volumes in, which means that the series is about halfway done, and still going strong! Additionally, Jaku-chara seems to have received a major boost in popularity after the release of Volume 6, which is currently rated 4.9 out of 5.0 on Amazon Japan. That’s pretty good, considering how ruthless Amazon reviews can be.
