Journey to the West: Starting by taking Sun Wukong as my disciple!-Chapter 101: The Disguised Nezha, The Fallen Monkey
I hadn’t expected the internal space of this magical treasure to be so vast—it didn’t seem to be of mortal grade.
As I pondered how to escape, the mere stirring of a thought caused my head to feel as if it were about to explode.
Thought after thought, memory after memory flooded my brain all at once, leaving Nezha utterly incapable of calming down.
The flame atop the central wick surged like a dragon emerging from its cave, violently rushing towards Nezha.
In a daze, Nezha caught sight of the oncoming flames, his hairs standing on end, and in an instant, his mind and spirit snapped back to attention.
With a roll to evade, he felt the heaviness of his divine soul and sunk slightly in his heart—this magical treasure was far too eerie.
"Change outfit!" Nezha urgently commanded in a low voice.
A flash of white light, and Nezha found himself in a long white dress.
"Green Wide-sleeved Skirt."
"Grade: Intermediate Low-Grade."
"Ability: Enhances divine soul defensive power by threefold."
The moment he donned the skirt, Nezha felt his mind instantly clear, and he breathed a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, he had tried on all the women’s clothing he had purchased in the Human Race’s Earth Realm that day and had categorized and stored them.
Although this skirt was not of the highest grade, its effect was straightforward, concerned only with enhancing the defense of the divine soul—but it was a threefold increase!
His refined body feared no exotic poisons.
However, as it was not his original body, the divine soul remained his weakness. It seemed the demon had known his vulnerabilities well to use this magical treasure against him.
The Macaque King, who exactly was he?
How come Nezha had never heard of him before?
But Nezha didn’t give it much thought, as those with modest reputations but formidable strength were truly fearsome in the Three Realms.
Bang!
Two streaks of jade-like flames, akin to dragons, charged at Nezha once again. With a slight smile and a scoff, Nezha was unfazed.
He held the Wind Fire Wheels in his hand and blew out a breath of Immortal Qi. In an instant, a torrent of crimson flames surged out—the famed Samadhi True Fire of the Three Realms.
Nezha’s flames instantly overpowered the lamp’s fire.
However, this didn’t mean that Samadhi True Fire was of a higher quality than the lamp’s flame.
By now, Nezha realized that the Macaque King hadn’t mastered this magical treasure at all.
If it had been the previous him, he would’ve certainly been ensnared, but who let him obtain these divine skills from Shopkeeper Chen of Chaos Residence?
Although it was embarrassing to admit, there was no denying its brilliance!
Nezha blew another breath of Immortal Qi, and the Wind Fire Wheels emitted Samadhi True Fire even more vigorously.
The entire space within the lamp was dyed red.
The Macaque King, reclining without a care on his throne, suddenly felt the lamp in his hand grow hotter and hotter.
What is happening!
In utmost surprise, the Macaque King found the heat intolerable to hold any longer and hurriedly placed the lamp on the ground, staring fixedly at the Verdant Light Dual-Yi Lamp.
Suddenly, a burst of crimson flames spewed from the Verdant Light Dual-Yi Lamp, followed by a brilliant white flash.
The Macaque King’s pupils shrunk, filled with dread—had someone broken free from his Verdant Light Dual-Yi Lamp?
How could this be!
This was an Innate Spirit Treasure, after all!
When the white light vanished, there stood an exceptionally beautiful figure, stunning to behold.
The Macaque King was dumbfounded. Who was this?
Hadn’t he locked up Nezha? How did a woman emerge?
But what shocked the Macaque King even more was not just this transformation—this lady was holding the Fire-tipped Spear in her hands!
This was Nezha’s weapon—could this young woman be...
Nezha?!
Just as the Macaque King was about to say something, Nezha would not give him the chance to ponder further, thrusting forward with the Fire-tipped Spear in hand.
His carefree and unrestrained pose held a touch of the valiant spirit of a woman who would not be outdone by men.
Although, he was originally a man.
In a hurry, the Macaque King summoned his weapon to parry the attack.
But this exchange made the Macaque King’s face turn pale; what tremendous strength.
The Macaque King was sent flying backward before he could even recover from Nezha’s onslaught.
Not using any of his divine skills nor summoning any magical treasure, it was just a long spear.
Yet, the situation of the battle drastically differed from moments ago; within fewer than ten exchanges between them.
Spurt!
After taking another direct hit from Nezha, the Macaque King could no longer hold on, as a mouthful of old blood spurted out.
Both of his hands were trembling; let alone continuing the fight, he couldn’t even pick up his own staff now.
"How could you... suddenly become so strong!" the Macaque King sputtered out a mouthful of old blood, his face showing a look of horror.
Before, when they had engaged, he had been completely at ease, yet now the techniques were the same, but the power Nezha wielded was worlds apart.
The only change was putting on a woman’s garment, and it was seemingly just a very ordinary skirt, what could it be for!
From a higher position, Nezha said with coldness in his eyes, "Compared to that monkey, you are far inferior."
Speaking indifferently, the long spear traced its arc.
Against such a brutally vicious Demon King, he never showed mercy.
A monkey?
What monkey?
This was the last thought in the Macaque King’s mind, but he would have to think about it in the Earth Realm’s netherworld.
After Nezha forcefully slew the Macaque King, he casually killed the lesser demons in the cave, as his cross-dressed form couldn’t be casually exposed.
Moreover, with a big demon monster that ate human flesh, one could imagine what the lesser demons would be like.
Likewise, they deserved death!
Picking up the Verdant Light Dual-Yi Lamp that was lying on the ground, Nezha raised his eyebrows; it seemed to have a good appearance, probably a fine treasure.
He infused mana to examine it and was shocked to discover that this magical treasure contained thirty-six prohibitions, an Innate Spirit Treasure!
Nezha was extremely astonished. He mused over why the Macaque King was so calm in the face of him, only to realize it was due to the support of an Innate Spirit Treasure.
After a close examination, out of the thirty-six prohibitions, except for the first one, all others were set by the Macaque King himself.
No wonder the power of this treasure didn’t match its grade.
Nezha nodded to himself; it wasn’t even the original owner.
When mana touched the other prohibitions, Nezha felt a peculiar unease.
This overbearing presence!
Nezha quickly withdrew his mana, not daring to probe further, for it surely was a relic left by an ancient power.
However, so many ancient powers had perished in the long river of time, he had no idea who it could be.
Without pondering too deeply, Nezha changed his clothes back with a thought.
Looking at the corpse of the Macaque King, Nezha’s face showed disgust as he disdainfully picked it up and headed out of the cave.
Seeing the bodies of the Human Race carelessly strewn along the path, even after killing the Macaque King, Nezha’s fury was hard to quell.
He didn’t leave a single small demon untouched.
Until he exited the cave, Nezha used his Samadhi True Fire to burn the entire cave down.
Taking to the clouds, he returned to the front of the Heavenly troops.
"This is the demon." Nezha then flung the corpse of the Macaque King at Li Jing’s feet.
Since the Heavenly troops were standing on a large cloud formation, the body didn’t fall through.
Nezha was long accustomed to Li Jing’s lack of sending reinforcements.
Usually, it was only when Li Jing himself decided to act that he would send a large force ahead of him.
Li Jing didn’t pay any mind to Nezha’s sullen attitude.
Picking up the Macaque King’s corpse joyously, instinctively protecting it behind him as if someone were about to snatch it away, he said, "Let’s go, back to the Heavenly Court!"
