Kaijin Fighter: So I Have to Make Monsters, So What?-Chapter 1151: ...Pass the Bleachers...
"That bubble was Xiao Liu?!"
"Yeah..."
"How?!"
"Well..."
Shortly after Zhen Hai and Zhen Feng informed their cousins about how Zhen Liu was trapped inside of a bubble made of aether and [Chaos], the duo had the misfortune of having to inform the Zhen Clan elders about what had just occurred in the past twenty minutes or so.
Thankfully, the Beast Tide was more or less over with the death of the [Whirling Dust Devil Tyrant] and it’s accompanying [Sand Devils, leaving only leaderless dredges that either ran for the hills or died fighting.
Needless to say though, they weren’t happy despite this bit of good fortune.
Well, most of the elders, the patriarch and the main clan matriarch had reactions that ranged from worried to upset about this situation.
The Seventh Elder though, Zhen Liu’s father, was absolutely freaking out.
He had already almost lost his son once when he had almost died not too long ago, he was not looking forward to possibly burying him again. Which is why he was going to drill his nephews as hard as she could for any and all information that was relevant to his son’s current situation.
So far, what he heard was rather...hopeless.
"...and that’s all we know, Seventh Uncle. I’m sorry."
"Dammit...DAMMIT!"
The bubble that Zhen Liu was trapped in probably wasn’t that strong all things considered, since it was a mix of [Chaos] and aether attributes that had no synergetic effects.
The only issue is that this aformentioned bubble was moving at such great speeds that it would be nearly impossible for even someone like Matriarch Zhen Xun Tian to-
"Uh...guys? This is going to sound weird," Zhen Xing interjected as Zhen Yan was going over the worse case scenario in his head. "But what color was that bubble that Zhen Liu was trapped inside of?"
"Uh...I wanna say gold," Zhen Feng answered. "Why?"
"Because I think that’s him coming back from the direction he just flew towards."
"What?!"
Shocked and unbelieving of Zhen Xing’s words, the scions and elders of the Zhen Clan ran to the edge of the city walls or flew into the air to see if the fifth young master of the Zhen Clan was telling the truth. Evidently, he was.
From the horizon, the Zhen Clan could see what appeared to be a strange, rainbow colored bubble flying towards them at speeds that were... significantly slower than what they had seen earlier that day.
Whatever had happened between now and then, it had caused the bubble to change color, affinities and slow down drastically.
Perhaps there was a reason for this change, perhaps there wasn’t, but the Zhen Clan honestly didn’t care about that.
Right now, they were more worried about popping that damn bubble and freeing their family member!
No man left behind!
Granted, they were about to discover that this task was going to be easier said than done.
As evident by the first blow.
"Hang on kiddo! Papa’s coming!"
"What the-ZHEN YAN, WAIT!"

Despite being exhausted after fighting the [Sand Devil] alongside his brothers, Zhen Yan still managed to dig up enough aether in his reserves to propel himself forward and dig up enough [Chaos] to at least coat his fingers like armored claws.
His thinking was that if he couldn’t pop this bubble outright, he could at least create a tear that would allow the others to pop it or enable Zhen Liu to break it from the inside.
Unfortunately, while the sentiment was there, the execution was not.
"Break!"
Ptwing!
"What?!"
Despite his best efforts to not only catch up but also cut through it, his [Chaos] made claws simply shattered against the protective bubble as if he was trying to cut a boulder with a butter knife.
After this fumble, the bubble continued to fly forward, ignoring the worried father’s efforts.
...
’You did your best, dad, but this is some weird bullshit that not even the curators can figure out.’
[Well, not without getting us back to the Library at least.]
’Yeah...huh...ya know, I was thinking of using the key in here, but I get the feeling that’s a bad idea.’
[Why?]
’Same reason you don’t put a portable hole in a bag of infinity.’
[Ah.]
...
With the bubble still flying, another of the Zhen Clan elders decided to give it a go, one more well versed in the art of capturing and impediment.
"Alright, step aside. If capturing is the name of the game, then allow me to take the lead," Zhen Jin said as he stepped forward while extracting several seeds from his belt pouches.
Dressed in his [Regalia], the Rose Elder of the Zhen Clan looked less like the elderly herbalist he normally appeared, and more like a flowery knight of nature.
His next action cemented this look.
"When dealing with flighty prey, you gotta use snares! [Binding Bramble]!"
Infusing the seeds with a mix of aether and [Chaos], Zhen Jin tossed them forward and willed them to grow into giant brambles that shot towards the approaching bubble in a rather menacing manner.
In the past, Zhen Jin had used this move to capture avian aether beasts to great effect, so it should’ve been more than enough to capture one measly and weird-looking bubble.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work out the way he hoped.
Bwomp
"Ey yo wait, what the fuck?"
The brambles managed to reach the bubble and began to ensnare it like a snake catching a rat, with the thorns digging into the bubble’s exterior. Unfortunately, it didn’t actually pierce through.
Instead, the bubble squeezed out of the brambles like a ball of slime through one’s fingers.
Needless to say, the Zhen Clan as a while was starting to get annoyed by this bubble.
"What the fuck do we do now?!"
<<Alright, step aside children! It’s time for me to save the day, again!>>
...
’Why does it feel like I’m being fucked with at this point?’
[Depends, do you think your great grandaunt can cinch the catch?]
...
After the defeat of the [Whirling Dust Devil Tyrant], Zhen Xun Tian was ready to pack it up, call it a day and go back to Roaring Tide.
She had only wanted to swing by Stone Claw in order to check on the branch clan and participate in the battle against the Beast Tide.
But, that particular plan was thrown out the window once she learned that her new favorite great grandchild had gotten himself trapped in teleportation bubble of all things.
Zhen Xun Tian only read up on them before as hypothetical in the past, and now she had a chance to overpower one?
Hell yeah!
With this idea in mind, Zhen Xun Tian pulled out all the stops and summoned her [Avatar] to suppress this silly bubble.
After all, six giant hands were better than claws and brambles.
<<The best way to deal with a troublesome bubble is to pop it like a troublesome fly, like so!>>
At this point in time, the bubble was about where it had pierced through the [Whirling Dust Devil Tyrant] not too long ago. This meant that Zhen Xun Tian didn’t have to waste any time to catch up with the troublesome ball of energy, and that she could act immediately.
By her will, she proceeded to use two of her [Avatar]’s hands to lock the bubble into place, while using her other four hands to attack it.
And unlike the last two attempts, this time it worked.
With the bubble being held like a watermelon, Zhen Xun Tian proceeded to act as if the other four hands of her Avatar were like razor sharp metal stakes ready to pierce and break the bubble into two clean pieces.
And it looked like it was going to work.
The bubble began to distort and bend under the pressure of six hands coming down on it, looking like it was going to burst at any second.
"Hey! It’s working!"
"Come on, come on..."
"Wait a minute, why do one of the hands seem to be sinking in deeper than the-"
BANG!
<<SERIOUSLY?!>>
Evidently, Zhen Xun Tian did not distribute her strength evenly across her arms, or the bubble itself soften at a specific point, and caused a single hole to puncture the bubble’s exterior.
Now, this should’ve been the part where the bubble would completely burst and Zhen Liu would land safely back in Stone Claw City on his ass...but that didn’t happen.
Instead, as if to mock everyone involved, that singular hole released just enough energy from the bubble to not only escape Zhen Xun Tian’s grasp, but also give it enough speed to rocket off in a completely different direction than before.
None of them would know it until later in their lives, but this bubble they were trying to burst was more like a balloon.
<<Fucking shit.>>
"Any idea where he’s going to be flying off to now?"
...
’ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?!’
[Executor, the chances of something like that happening is-]
’Don’t. Just...don’t.’
