Keyboard Immortal-Chapter 2530: Breakthrough
Chapter 2530: Breakthrough
Yi eyed him coldly. “Your father is one of the Shaman races’ ancestors, so why do you lower yourself to be a celestial?”
Gu licked his lips as his face twisted in contempt. “What do you mean by lowering myself? With my noble bloodline, I don’t have to do anything myself for the Celestial Court to confer me as a celestial. All I hear are a loser’s words of envy.”
Then, he chuckled. “Ah, I heard you have done many things for the Shaman races in recent years, but the Celestial Court didn’t confer you any post. I guess the difference between us is a good father.”
Gu thumped his chest and ‘apologetically’ said, “Ah, I’m so sorry. I nearly forgot that you don’t have any parents. You’re an orphan!” His words were dripping with disdain.
Yi flew into a rage. “You’re courting death!”
He once again hurled a punch at Gu, but a thick snake tail coiled around his body and lifted him.
Gu stared coldly at the struggling Yi and sneered, “Little shaman upstarts like you wouldn’t know how noble our bloodlines are. How dare you challenge me? Today, I shall show you death!” He began to tighten his grip around Yi, squeezing the latter’s body so hard that veins began popping out.
Yi let out a howl, and his body swiftly expanded until he was a three-hundred-meter tall giant.
Gu was forced to release him. “Sss!”
Feeling humiliated, Gu’s body began to expand too. Soon, his body grew even larger than the massive dragon Zu An had seen in the future, looking almost like a small mountain.
Yi didn’t stop there either. His body continued to grow, soon crossing three thousand meters.
Both sides glared at each other. It was hard to tell who made the first move, but both sides released a furious roar and charged into each other.
The intense quake rattled Zu An and the others’ nerves. They turned around and saw a massive Yi brawling with a humongous snake. Wherever they passed, forests and mountains collapsed like tofu.
The Mermaid Queen’s face turned pale. “These ancient deities are shockingly powerful.”
The monsters who had invaded the Cultivation World were already strong enough to drive them to despair, but compared to the deities in this world, even they looked like children at play.
“I wonder if Brother Yi can escape.” Seeing the snake slowly coiling itself around the giant’s body, Zu An couldn’t help but be worried. Yi had only gotten involved to help him, and it would weigh on his conscience if something happened to him as a result.
“Rest assured, he’s strong. He withheld his strength for the earlier friendly duel,” Yumen Beiqing consoled as she looked at the choking giant with an unreadable face.
“Let’s hope so,” Zu An said.
A shrill laugh suddenly echoed from ahead. “You shouldn’t be worrying about others now.” A massive eagle-owl blocked their path.
Zu An released the hands of the two women and calmly looked at Qin. “Do you think we’re afraid of you?”
The only one he was worried about was Gu. Qin was formidable, but he had ways to deal with it.
Zu An’s impassive eyes made Qin’s heart skip a beat. This fellow is too composed. Does he truly possess the means to defeat me?
He quickly shrugged off that ridiculous thought and said, “Empty words. I just received orders from milord. The only fate awaiting you is death, though milord can consider sparing those two beauties beside you.”
Sensing Qin’s lustful eyes, Yumen Beiqing’s expression turned cold. She threw out the Emperor’s Suppression Talisman, and a golden aura billowed in the sky. Two golden-armored warriors emerged from the clouds.
Qin was taken aback. “You can summon celestial soldiers? How is that possible?!”
He frantically flapped his wings to flee, but it was too late. The golden-armored warriors stretched their hands down from the clouds, their movements clumsy but astonishingly fast. Before he knew it, they already had their grasp on his wings. Qin struggled with all his might, but he was unable to break free of the two golden-armored warriors.
Both the Mermaid Queen and Zu An were stunned. What’s going on? When did little sister Ling’er become this powerful?
More importantly, the pressure emanated by those two golden-armored warriors was so great that even Zu An felt insignificant. It wasn't his first time seeing the Emperor’s Suppression Talisman, but he had never seen it exert such incredible prowess before.
Yumen Beiqing noticed their shock and hurriedly feigned exhaustion. “Quick, I’m reaching my limit!”
The two golden-armored warriors began to dissipate, and it looked as if Qin would break free at any moment.
The Mermaid Queen quickly played a melody on her harp to stack buffs on Zu An.
Without any hesitation, Zu An unleashed the Star Shattering Imprint with its tenfold power! At the same time, he unleashed a barrage of sword ki with his Tai’e Sword.
Qin was unfazed. He scoffed at Zu An, “A mere mortal hopes to hurt me?”
The three-colored divine halo enveloped Qin once more. As long as he had his divine halo, Zu An wouldn’t be able to hurt his main body no matter how formidable his sword ki was.
Even so, Zu An had already expected that and activated the Taotie’s Heaven-Devouring Sutra in advance. An invisible black hole appeared around Qin and devoured the three-colored divine halo.
“H-How is this possible?!” Qin finally panicked and screamed in shock.
But it was too late. The sword ki blasted through his celestial body with ease, slicing him in two. His two severed halves tried to reconnect, but the sword ki harnessed destructive energy that continuously tore through his body until it was reduced to dust.
Zu An was stunned. He felt an immense surge of ki rushing toward him.
His experience bar had been stuck at level 79 for the longest time, but he couldn’t make a breakthrough no matter how his ki grew. It was as if an invisible ceiling had been capping his growth. However, this rush of ki seemed to contain something that he couldn’t put his finger on, and it rattled the ceiling that had limited him thus far.
