Capítulo 1846: Chapter 1525: Clear Intentions (Part 2)

Now, it all depends on the strategic resolve and wisdom of both parties…

Joe Ga has already sensed the ‘semi-rejection’ from the higher echelons of European and American capital towards him. The reason is his refusal to join them, to fully open up P·B, allowing them to invest and share the profits.

For Joe Ga, it’s no longer about strategic resilience at this point… 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

The more he endures, the less room he has for maneuver, because at his level and size, there are no shared interests that allow him to be all things to all people.

He is unwilling to sell out the core interests of P·B, leaving him with only one option: to grit his teeth and power through!

If he powers through, he sits at the table; if he doesn’t, he becomes subordinate by clinging on, or he might end up on the menu!

This myriad of issues creates immense pressure on Joe Ga, but surprisingly, he doesn’t feel uncomfortable…

Compared to the feeling of being tied down and the looming pressure when he first came to America, Joe Ga now actually feels much better.

At least now he has a clear enemy, he knows who he needs to eliminate to resolve the immediate problem.

The previously repressed emotions were somewhat released, allowing Joe Ga to relax to some extent…

So, once he got on the plane, he fell asleep immediately…

With him were Ayu, Bird the Medic, and ‘Iceman’ and ‘Water Ghost’ from the E Team.

Rhino was left in New Jersey due to a shoulder injury, and Ronnie, due to his background as a Tracker, was useful for Dorian’s upcoming work.

The A Team was somewhat scattered, but the trip to Odessa wasn’t necessarily about risking lives; with the addition of the formidable snipers ‘Iceman’ and ‘Water Ghost’, the temporary A Team was certainly ample for self-preservation.

Besides the old P·B members, ‘Jackal’ and a team of Big Beard soldiers he recruited were also on the plane.

These guys were somewhat average when they first fought in New York.

When attacking the apartment where the assassins from Ladder of Light were located, these guys opened the door and were hit by booby traps made from flashbang grenades, causing two concussions.

Joe Ga initially couldn’t understand how ‘Jackal’, on par with his friends from the Jazz Squad, could bring back these guys.

But after a nap and subsequent conversation, Joe Ga discovered he might have misunderstood the identity and combat ability of these men.

Strong bodies, fierce looks, big beards, these characteristics paired with their Russian identity made Joe Ga think ‘Jackal’ recruited a batch of Chechen special forces…

Yet after the conversation, it was revealed they were from another famous Russian ethnic group, the ‘Cossacks’…

Whether Cossacks constitute an ethnic group remains debated, but the current Cossack people are indeed descendants of those who continued based on shared beliefs and lifestyles in history.

In this ethnic group’s historical genes flows the bloodlust for combat…

The Russian troops composed entirely of Cossacks are well-known, including the 104th Airborne Regiment during the Second Chechen War, later transitioning into a counter-terrorism special forces unit, all experienced and exemplary troops.

Those recruited by ‘Jackal’ from the Syrian Battlefield are truly formidable soldiers. Although slightly lacking in the agility required of special forces, their fierce demeanor naturally overwhelms ordinary soldiers.

They might not be actual special forces, but they are daggers on the front lines, adept at field combat, urban warfare, and armored support engagements.

Joe Ga only realized what ‘Jackal’ had been doing for nearly 5 years in Syria…

This guy transformed a military base, taken over from the United State Army, into a resting station for mercenaries.

Without spending much, he utilized the excellent geographical position of the military base and inexpensive mercenaries to support the Syrian Secure Zone’s flanks.

He even used his flexible identity to coordinate mercenaries in helping Syria quell insurgencies, earning the respect of the Syrian Government Forces along with some funding.

Despite not providing ‘Jackal’ anything beyond weaponry and a catering team, this guy succeeded in establishing something big, screening and retaining a group of strong Cossack mercenaries…

These people haven’t joined the P·B ranks yet, but their desire to do so is extremely strong!

Upon understanding their situation, Joe Ga looked at the Big Beards staring at him with somewhat chilling gazes, chucklingly waved his hand and said, “Guys, don’t look at me like that, your leader is ‘Jackal’…

I trust him, so whether you can officially join P·B depends on whether you can earn his absolute trust.

P·B soldiers aren’t just simple mercenaries; merely knowing how to fight isn’t enough!”

A tall man with a grizzled beard looked at Joe Ga and said, “‘Jackal’ said joining P·B could help free our homeland from its plight.

What must we do to join?”

The grizzled beard glanced at his companions, and in a deep voice, said, “We are adept fighters, and P·B is a war company…”

Joe Ga chuckled with a head shake and replied, “NO, P·B isn’t a war company, it’s a company selling security!

I suggest you understand the difference between the two, then consider whether you want to join P·B, because we have a lot of rules!

Of course, wanting to join us requires undergoing some tests…

I’m quite busy, but I certainly give face to ‘Jackal’. If he nods, you could get a test opportunity in Ukraine.

There are soldiers from the Golden Eagle Special Forces there; if your abilities are somewhat comparable to theirs, then at least in capacity you’ll basically qualify.”

The grizzled beard listened and replied, staring into Joe Ga’s eyes, “If we pass, can we join?”

Joe Ga was taken aback by the man’s stubbornness, hesitated, and nodded, saying, “You somewhat misunderstood my words, but yeah, that’s about right…”

The grizzled beard immediately asked, “All of us, if we pass, can join?”

Joe Ga paused, glanced at ‘Jackal’ beside him, noticing his somewhat embarrassed shift in gaze…

Realizing something was amiss, Joe Ga curiously asked, “How many of you are there?”

The grizzled beard heard Joe Ga’s key question and with a cough said: ‘We are 438 people…’

“How many?”

Joe Ga was a bit surprised looking at the old man in front, just about to ask ‘Jackal’ what the situation was, when his satellite phone rang…

“Hu Lang, we have a bit of a situation…”
