Lady Meilin is seduced by her green tea brother-in-law everyday-Chapter 427: Agent Boido.
Later, back at home, Jingzhe tracked her outside to where she was sitting in the gardens. Mei Mei was not really doing anything, just looking at Tangning’s quiet house. Her neighbor was gone, so were her maids, guards and butler. Only the security lights had been left on outside.
"Are you missing her?" Jingzhe gave her a bump on the head before sitting down. "I am beginning to think that you two were more friendly than you seemed on the outside."
Mei Mei rubbed her head. "I am just worried about her. Noble families expect a lot from their children. Tangning has no idea what she is in for. In her case, it gets worse because of the fake daughter, the fans the comparisons and the competition. Her simple life is gone."
He put a hand on her arm. "If you are so worried about her, give her a call."
"I did." Mei Mei let her feet down from the table. "She did not answer my call. I’ll try again tomorrow but if she pushes me away, there is not much I can do to help her. I was thinking of pulling her into my circle of friends. We can be her back up."
"And what if..." he leaned closer, "what if she turns out to be just as bad as Xiangxiang? Everyone is expecting the Si’s to favor the fake daughter. They forget that some parents adopt children and turn on them when they have their own biological children."
Mei Mei lowered her eyes, her consideration of how things might play out had not painted Tangning as the oppressor.
"I am not saying that don’t reach out or ignore her." He took one of her hands in his. "All I am saying is that you should take things one step at a time. Fame and money change people. Nobility and royalty are even worse. The sweetest person can become a monster when power is put in their hands."
Mei Mei gulped.
"I went to the prison morgue." He rubbed her hand. "I saw the body for myself and confirmed that Mo Liang is truly dead. I guess Lele will not have to visit the prison after all and scare him."
She leaned her head on his shoulder. "It is over in every sense. I am going to get the marriage annulled legally as well, which is much simpler since he is dead. I was waiting for him to be sentenced to life in prison before getting around to it."
Jingzhe sat up abruptly and her head dropped a little.
He caught one side quickly, cradling it in his palm. "Sorry, I was just a little too excited. This means I will be the only husband you will ever have legally."
She laughed. "Is that the first thing you thought of?"
He pushed her head away and turned his whole body until their eyes collided. Jingzhe wondered if she truly had no idea that he had tried to burn her marriage certificate a few times.
She was probably the only one that had not figured out that their wedding was all planned out and all that was left was for her to make some personal changes and they could tie the knot.
Every week, he sat with his mother in the cake factory and they went through the wedding book, adding new ideas and removing old ones. It was scheduled on their planners as a VIP meeting.
Nobody had ever seen the face of the VIP since the meeting was between mother and son and their assistants.
He wanted to be her husband__her only husband.
"I...." he opened his mouth.
She leaned forward toward him, twined her arms around his neck and leaned into him completely. He pulled her closer and rubbed his cheek against hers. She parted her lips, softened her eyes and looked at him.
His mouth came down on hers in a long, gentle kiss. His arms slid across her back and pulled her tighter, melding their bodies together.
"You kissed me differently." He whispered, locking his gaze with hers. He had sensed something in the kiss which was more real than usual. Something had changed within her and he didn’t know if it was good or bad. "You are not breaking up with me, are you?"
She touched his hair. His insecurity was once adorable but now, it was not. He was so afraid of losing her and verbal assurances were not always going to comfort him.
But for now, it was what she could offer. "I would be a fool to break up with you."
He exhaled after holding in his breath for a while.
"Besides, even if I broke up with you, we both know that you would just show up in the bedroom or my office and seduce me anyway." She laughed. "And I cannot resist you."
She laid her hands over his chest and pressed a kiss to the spot where the upper button of his shirt was open. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
He wrapped his arms around her, wishing that they would be like this forever. Her love for him would never fade. But, did she love him?
I love you. Hurry up and marry me. Don’t ever leave me. He wanted to say all this but the words stuck in his throat. The moment did not seem right.
So he didn’t say it. He just hugged her and they watched the moon together for an hour. Just when she was starting to feel sleepy, a delivery was brought inside by one of the bodyguards. It looked like a pet carrier and that was what made Mei Mei raise her head.
"Stop." She shouted, nearly frantic.
The bodyguard turned to her, smiling nervously. "Miss Meilin..." He laughed.
"What is that?" She asked him.
He scratched the back of his neck. "It is a delivery for Miss Mingzhu."
Right on cue, Mei Mei came out the house, almost flying. "Its here, its here, Agent Boido has sent it."
"Agent who?" Jingzhe laughed.
"Agent Boido." Mingzhu repeated.
Jun Yi had followed Mingzhu but she was walking slower. "She means Agent Boyd, the one we met in Australia. He just called and said that according to the tracking information, Mingzhu’s wombat has arrived."
Mei Mei drew in quick breaths, looking like a dragon on the brink of releasing hot flames. "Jun Mingzhu....." She roared.
