Since they were already there, the two decided to check out the hotel's top-recommended open-air bath.
As they opened the door and stepped outside, they were greeted by a dazzling light.

“Wow…!”
Charlotte let out a gasp of admiration.
Outside the door was a limestone cave-like rock face. It seemed to have been carved out of the cliff on which the hotel was built, and directly in front of it was a large opening, overlooking the ocean.
And right in front of the ocean was a huge open-air bath.
White steam rose into the air, and the smell of sulfur lingered in the breeze.
Thanks to the cave-like setting, they could enjoy the bath without being exposed directly to sunlight. On top of that, the atmosphere felt completely out of the ordinary.
“Th-this bath is amazing!”
“Yeah. No wonder it’s so popular.”
Allen nodded obediently. After a quick shower to rinse off, the two of them soaked side by side in the bath. The temperature of the water was neither too hot nor too lukewarm. The thick spring water enveloped their whole bodies.
“Ahhh… this feels so good.”
“Right…”
For a while, the two soaked in the bath while gazing out at the sea.
Other bathers were enjoying themselves in a similar way. Besides the occasional murmurs of conversation, the only sound was the pleasant murmur of the ocean waves. Occasionally, the cry of a seabird echoed through the air, adding to the peaceful mood.
Charlotte’s cheeks were flushed as she muttered with a blissful expression:
"I want to stay here forever."
“Yeah, me too.”
“But… if we stay in too long, we’ll get dizzy. That’s kind of a shame.”
“Heh, you’re too naive. Soaking in the bath isn’t the only way to enjoy a hot spring, you know.”
"Eh?"
Allen grinned mischievously. And just then—
“Dear guests~ Your order has arrived~♪!”
"Perfect timing. Thank you."
The mermaid concierge from earlier appeared gracefully, carrying a tray.
What she handed over was a glass bowl of ice cream, pure white vanilla with a single cherry on top.
When she handed it to Charlotte, her face lit up with delight.
"Ice cream while soaking in a hot spring! What a luxury...!"
“You haven’t seen anything yet. Eternal Freeze!”
With a snap of his fingers, the glass bowl began to glow faintly blue.
Even in the steam, the ice cream didn’t melt in the slightest and remained perfectly firm.
“Now it won’t melt, even in the bath. Take your time and enjoy it.”
“Th-thank you so much!”
Charlotte scooped a small bite and popped it into her mouth. The moment it touched her tongue, her face melted into a blissful smile.
Allen watched, thinking how happily she ate it. Apparently, the other guests were thinking the same thing. Everyone's eyes were glued to Charlotte’s ice cream, and they exchanged glances with audible gulps.
“Hey, hey, Daddy! I want that ice cream too!”
“S-sure, but don’t tell Mom, she’s in the middle of a spa treatment.”
“Hey there, young man! Mind using that magic on our ice cream too?”
“Of course! Happy to help!”
“Ahh, everyone please line up! We’ll take your orders one at a time~!”
Feeling in a good mood, Allen gladly agreed.
And so, an ice cream boom swept through the open-air bath.
