Leanna-Chapter 184: Epilogue 4

Seven years later

Diiinnngggg~!

Cain opened the door in their mansion in New York, and Lance, his brother in law, together with Emery and their child, Len, greeted him.

"What the––!"

Lance’s heart skipped a beat at seeing Cain’s ridiculous get-up. Cain was wearing a silly shirt and a . . . SKIRT underneath an apron.

A fuckin’ skirt!

But that was not the horrendous thing.

It was the makeup!

Cain’s silver hair was in a girly pigtail raised both sides of his head. He wore thick mascara and purple eyeshadow. An eye-catching circle shape pink blush was on his cheeks, and a crimson red lipstick followed the form of a heart like the lips of the evil queen of hearts was painted on his lips.

He looked awful!

But his manly charms were still hard to ignore, which only added to his ridiculous appearance, which stung the eyes.

Lance’s face contorted in a sneer while Emery blinked her pretty eyelids, prying if what she was seeing was an illusion. While their four-year-old son, Len, held his mouth, giggling nonstop.

"You look ridiculous!" Lance exclaimed as they made their way inside the house.

"Lance!" Emery reprimanded her husband. "That is no way to treat your brother in law."

Lance scoffed. "Look at him and tell me honestly what you think. The man looks horrendous!"

Cain smirked. "Darling, your uncle said I look horrendous in this get-up you made for me."

"Nonsense!"

Rebutted a little girl with a crisp twinkling voice.

That was when the newcomers saw a seven-year-old girl on top of Cain’s shoulders, her little chubby arms hugging around her father’s neck, and the toddler rubbed her chubby cheeks against her father’s hair.

"Father is the most beautiful man in the whole wide world."

Cain chuckled. "Beautiful than mommy?"

The little girl giggled and embraced her father tight.

"Yes! Beautiful than mommy!"

"I heard that."

Their merry conversation was interrupted by a soothing voice. A pretty woman in a white floral dress came with a smile on her face but had a playful reprimanding gaze at the father and daughter pair. A little boy was behind her, pushing her wheelchair.

"Sis!"

"Sister in law!"

"Aunty!"

Lance, Emery, and Len all went to Leanna’s side and kissed her cheek while raffling Cole’s beautiful silver hair, which warrant a glare from the boy.

"Mommy! You’re also beautiful like daddy," Lina coaxed as Cain walked towards her mother.

Cain bent down and kissed his wife’s forehead, rubbing her legs along the way.

"My love, what are you doing here?"

"You’re taking so long to answer the door."

Leanna glanced at Lance and the others with a cheerful smile. "Come on. Everyone is already in the backyard."

All of them made their way into the poolside. Cole glared at his father when Cain was about to take over the wheelchair while Lance smirked and raffled Cole’s hair.

"That’s my good nephew. You take your attitude from me. Protect your mother from this demon."

After Cole glared at his father, he turned to his uncle Lance and puffed his cheeks, face turning into a scowl.

Everyone laughed.

Everybody knew how possessive Cole was towards his mother while Lina was extremely attached to her father, which made Cain and Leanna sighed in surrender. It was like looking at the mini version of their selves.

"Emery! You’re here!"

Zoe yelled out and grabbed Emery’s hand, leading them into the poolside while the whole family was chatting, laughing, cooking, without a care in the world.

The old couple Lee’s, Fay’s, and Jansen’s, were busy chatting and grilling some meats at one side.

Estela, with her protruding belly together with her husband, Zhander, was busy chatting while their kids played with the triplets.

Zoe and Lawrence joined in the chatting as well.

Emery and Lance also joined in the fun while their son zoomed to the other kids who were playing in their own little world.

Russell was rubbing Four’s bulging tummy. Their soon to be second child, while resting in a hammock, lost in their love world.

Big Pluffy, who was trying so hard to befriend little Poofy, Zoe’s cat, to no avail.

Leanna swept her gaze, and contentment filled her heart.

Ahahahaha!

Until a heartening laugher shattered her contentment.

"CAIN!"

Leanna yelled when her husband was at it again.

Cain was throwing little Lina high into the air. This caused Leanna’s heart to stop for seconds.

"Cain! How many times have I told you not to do that?!" she reprimanded and glared at her husband. If she could walk, she would have kicked Cain moments ago.

Cain smirked and didn’t stop throwing his little pumpkin into the air, which caused Leanna to shriek in anger.

"Stop! Stop!"

Cole came to the rescue when he saw his precious mother was on the verge of crying. His balled fists rose in the air and hit his father’s legs.

Cain hugged his little girl before placing her on the ground, which Lina protested, "No."

"Your mother’s angry." Cain pointed at Leanna when his daughter pouted at him.

Lina took a peek at her mother, and when she saw those piercing brown eyes she knew so well, her lips curved downward as her chin wrinkled which made Cain’s heart swelled.

She’s so much like her! 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

"We’ll resume this later when your mother’s not looking," Cain whispered and winked at his daughter while ruffling his son’s hair, who was still busy hitting his leg.

Lina giggled and grabbed her twin brother’s arm, dragging him to join in with the other kids.

Cain went to Leanna’s side when those little cute, lovable creatures were no longer bothering them. He kneeled in front of his wife and kissed her forehead before laying his head on her lap, massaging her thighs.

"I promise you’ll walk again . . . ," Cain murmured as he closed his eyes.

Leanna’s anger dissipated, and her fingers caressed her husband’s hair.

The metal plate which struck her back seven years ago hit some nerves, and her legs were paralyzed. She knew this would be forever Cain’s greatest regret.

She knew how much her husband had done for her to have the slightest bit of chance to walk again. Cain built a research and development facility incorporating the latest technology the world could possibly offer to study ways for her to walk again.

"Cain, I told you . . . and will tell you how many times it’ll take," she said, voice above a whisper as she laid her head on top of her husband.

"I had died back there . . . But then, I was revived. If sacrificing my legs was the price so I could be with you . . . together with our kids . . . together with our family . . . I will do it . . . time and time again . . ."

At that moment in the hospital bed, her heart had stopped beating, but a miracle happened.

The sound of a newborn jolted her dying heart back to life.

Cain didn’t reply as he held onto Leanna’s dress, afraid something will take her away from him.

Leanna didn’t say anything as she continued to soothe her husband’s heart through her fingers caressing his hair. She swept her gaze at the heartwarming scene.

Estela was arguing with Zhander about something.

"I demand you throw me into the air and catch me!" Estela said.

Zhander frowned as he gaped at his childish wife.

"Are you crazy?! You’re pregnant! And you’re heav . . . *cough . . . I mean, it’s dangerous for you."

Estela pouted and kicked her husband’s legs. "Did you just called me fat?! How dare you!"

On the other side, Zoe was in deep thought as if thinking about something while looking at her triplets who were running all over the place.

"What is it?" Lawrence grabbed her hand and rolled his thumb on the back of her palm.

"I’m thinking of how we’ll throw Iraya, Roy, and Ray in the air at the same time."

". . ."

Meanwhile, Emery roamed her gaze. She, too, was lost in thought.

"Don’t tell me you wanted to throw our son in the air too? Don’t even think about it, woman." Lance held his wife’s hand, afraid she would grab Len and tossed their son in the air.

Emery scowled and faced her husband with a serious face.

"Lance, we should work hard! We only have Len while the others already have three."

Lance’s brows crumpled, and he flicked his wife’s pretty forehead.

"The hell, woman! You’re already exhausting me every night! What more do you want?!"

Emery puffed her cheeks and looked at Lance with an aggrieved face.

"You better get me pregnant! Right here! Right now!"

"The hell I will!"

Leanna giggled. Happiness and contentment filled every corner of her heart.

"Happy?"

Cain asked, staring at her with so much love that put a tear in her eyes as she nodded her head.

"I love you . . . ," Leanna whispered amidst the overwhelming happiness and bliss.

Cain held her hand and gently planted kisses on her skin as he murmured, "I love you too, and I will continue to love you forever. Beyond eternity. Across reincarnations. Until the end of time."

From this point on, we have the remaining Chapters of Estela, Zoe and Emery . Their story continued after Cain and Leanna got married so there will be a time skip.

I will finish one character story first before jumping to the next character so it wouldn’t be confusing and irritating of changing POV’s all the time.
