Legacy Of Fire: Chronicles Of The F-ranked Anomaly-Chapter 30: Where It All Began
Darius woke up early, he was trying to make sure that he won’t be late for the task. He made sure he prepared meals for Lena. He was not going to let her go hungry, not knowing when he was going to be coming back.
"I need to be sure, even if I am not here, that she will have enough to eat. I will also leave some money for her if she wants to get herself something."
Darius smiled as he finished up for Lena. he looked at the clock to see that it was six o’clock. It was time for him to head out.
He turned and made sure everything was in place. He was looking at everything and knew that he had laid everything out where they were meant to be and nothing was going to be out of place.
"Be back in a jiffy!" He said out loud before walking out of the house that he was confident that his powers and skills would be enough.
{Notice! Take Mission Title Change!}
{Accept Or Decline?}
The system notification popped up again. Darius was looking at it. He felt something like a nudge in his chest, almost like his instincts were telling him not to take the mission.
’Accept!’ Darius looked at the screen as it began loading something; it was taking time. ’This mission, why do I feel like it’s going to be intense?’
Darius didn’t know what he was going to do or how he was going to be able to get stronger. Theo had told him to stay hidden for the meantime, and he was also meant to get stronger so he would be able to match up to the Cruz family and their powers.
"Whatever it is, I would have to make sure I am going to be able to win and come back here a bit stronger."
Darius was looking at the screen, waiting for it to give him he mission.
{Map Analyzed! Head East To Get To The Temple!}
Darius was surprised to see that he was getting directions, and he was going to be using it to get somewhere that would help him get stronger.
’Here goes!’
He walked to the east of the city; it was a twenty-minute walk, and he got there fast using his speed.
Darius stopped. He was surprised to see that everything around looked like a dump, no sight of anything that would resemble a temple or where he was meant to enter.
’Is this the right place, or is the system bad at giving directions?’ Darius was looking around, and still there was nothing in sight that would help him spot the temple.
’Patience.’ Azree spoke up.
Darius rolled his eyes when he noticed that there was a distortion of space happening in front of him.
"Okay, that’s weird. What’s going on?!" Darius took a step back, he didn’t know what was going to happen. Suddenly, a dungeon gate appeared in front of him, he was surprised to see the dungeon take form there.
’I wonder what rank this dungeon is? Looks like an A rank.’ Darius was looking at it, he was not sure if he was meant to enter the dungeon or not.
{Notice! Use The Temple Key To Unlock!}
Darous was looking at the screen, and he was surprised to see a notification like that. he was not sure why it had such a weird instruction.
"What does this thing mean by using the temple key? I am lost here!" Darius stared at the gate, he was puzzled if he was meant to walk in or stay out.
’Use the key in your inventory, genius! I wonder if the points adding to your intelligence are for nothing.’ Azree taunted.
A vein could be seen bulging on Darius’ forehead. he put his hand into the inventory and pulled out the key.
’This better freaking work Azree!’ He put the key into the dungeon gate. There was no reaction, and it was a bit weird that nothing was happening.
’Who’s the genius now Az...’ Before he could finish the sentence, the dungeon reacted. It released a wave that seemed out of the ordinary. Darius could feel that he had unlocked something strange and eerie; he noticed that the key had disintegrated.
’You need to always be patient and make good use of those points in the intelligence bar!’ Azree taunted Darius more.
’Yep, I will let you have this round.’ Darius couldn’t find anything to say back. He took one deep breath before walking into the dungeon. As soon as he stepped into it, he could feel the dark and eerie air that filled the dungeon.
’What in the world is this?’ Darius was looking around. He was walking into the deeper part of the dungeon, and he couldn’t see anything.
’I still don’t understand why I am inside a dark dungeon like this and what is going on here and...’ Darius paused, he looked around the dungeon. ’Why does this place feel familiar?’
Darius started walking in again, he reached what appeared to be a door blocking him from entering.
He pushed it open, and he could feel something drawing him in; it was like the dungeon recognized him.
Darius stepped in, and then the dungeon suddenly lit up. There were torches on the wall lighting up the room.
Darius stood still, his face pale as he realised where he stood. This was no ordinary dungeon.
"What is the meaning of this, Azree?!" Darius was looking around, his voice shaky as if he was almost afraid. "Why did the system bring me back here?!"
’For now, I will not be able to help you with your questions, but I will aid you in the fight in any way I can.’
"Damn it Azree!" Darius pulled out his sword, he was looking around. "This has to be a nightmare, I can’t be back here."
Darius was standing in the very dungeon that almost took his life, he was standing in the first uncharted dungeon. He entered the very place from which he got his powers.
The cave trembled, and the torches flickered as something seemed to be coming out.
Darius turned to look in the direction where the disturbance was coming from.
’You have to be freaking kidding me.’
"So, you have returned. It shows that no matter how far mortals run with the power, they will always come back so I can strip them of it." The massive Gorgotia Baslisks crawled out, its eyes were pure red fixed on Darius. "You now are a meal I would love to devour." 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Darius was looking at the monster in front of him, and the only thing on his mind was to run, but then the Screen Popped up with a message that Darius dreaded at the moment.
