Legacy of the Void Fleet-Chapter 351: Ch The division of sol region
{Note : Read the previous Chapter please}
Just as the solar system was split into two different zones, a similar structure has been applied to the Sol Region, though with its own unique differences. It is divided into three main areas: the Outer Zone, the Inner Zone, and the Core Zone.
The Outer Zone consists of almost 40 star systems. Within them are the eight defensive star systems, which are under the direct control of the Void Fleet forces only!
[ The Outer Region]
The Outer Zone consists of almost 40 star systems. Within them are the eight defensive star systems, which are under the direct control of the Void Fleet forces only!
Other than the heavy military presence within the eight star systems of the Outer Zone, the other 32 or so systems had a relatively light deployment of four sub-battle groups or one full battle group.
[Note : (A sub-battle group) consists of between 8 to 10 warships in total. A typical composition includes:
1 Heavy Cruiser (acting as the flagship)
4 Destroyers
4 Frigates
1 Support Ship
(A battle group) is made up of four sub-groups, totaling 32 to 40 ships. Its composition includes:
1 Mother Ship (a new type of ship fielded by the Void Fleet)
1 Battleship
2 Battlecruisers
15 Destroyers
16 Frigates
5 Support Ships
While it might look extreme to field 40 ships in a single star system, it was practically necessary. Because of their large size and rich resources—not necessarily mana-rich, but rich in natural materials—along with their naturally habitable worlds and vast areas, a full battle group was required to guard each star system effectively.
And all the fielded ships other than the mother ship were of the same design that void fleet usually used.
Much like the Barracuda, these two classes have received their own upgrades, with their power surging by 45 percent.
The second-generation frigates now boast a length of more than 650 meters, a width of 390 meters and a height of 200 meters. With their armament increasing significantly, they are now more powerful, more robust, and better equipped for a variety of missions and situations.
How strong were they exactly? Previously, they were more than capable of holding their own against destroyers of the same tier. Even when outnumbered three, four, or even five-to-one, they could systematically dismantle their opponents given enough time.
Now, however, they can forget the Destroyer class of ships entirely. These ships which were already leaps ahead of others are now even advanced that they can now dare to engage Battlecruisers. While securing an outright victory against such a massive vessel remains a challenge, these upgraded or rather first gen frigates can now maintain a sustained engagement for hours without breaking.
Meanwhile, the Spearhead-class destroyers received their own extensive upgrades and reinforcements. Their hull strength has increased exponentially through the use of hyper-titanium alloys.
Their dimensions have grown as well: their length has increased from 650 meters to nearly 1,920 meters, their height from 125 meters to 496 meters, and their width from 220 meters to 1,020 meters.
and with its own arnmants and battel capabilities expanding !! specifically on the missile side as that side received and massive bost of its own !!
[The Inner Region]
The Inner Region, while smaller than the Outer Zone for obvious reasons, was still more heavily guarded. This was because not only were there even more resources, but they were of a much higher quality and purity than those found in the Outer Zone—by a large margin. Furthermore, it fielded an even higher tier of habitable worlds.
Within this region, two Tier 6 Super-Earth naturally habitable worlds were found, along with 16 more habitable worlds. Of these, 2 were Tier 5, 3 were Tier 4, and 5 were Tier 3 (like Earth). The rest were Tier 2 worlds, which were about 25 percent smaller than Earth and had slightly fewer resources, such as water.
And there were many other planets in this zone are located within "habitable zones" and are prime candidates for terraforming.
Much like the Outer Region’s border, about twenty star systems within the Inner Zone served as outposts for the Void Fleet. These had an even heavier presence than the outer border zones.
With all four stars guarded by an even greater behemoth than the Star Light Fortresses deployed around the eight border systems, these were the Silver Battle Stars.
Spanning almost 3,000 to 4,000 kilometers in diameter—the size of a moon—these celestial fortresses were constructed from a high-grade hyper-class alloy called Eternal Sand. This is one of the hardest alloys to find in the galaxy, a rare resource, yet these behemoths were made entirely of it. There was not just one, but four of them.
Capable of FTL travel while carrying a variety of supplies that could last for years, they possessed their own internal factories for refining and even mining ores. These Battle Stars could carry a vast variety of ships; considering their scale, a single Battle Star could easily carry two full fleets just within its shell alone.
Equipped with four Nova-class Star Destroyer weapon systems—far superior to the ones installed within the Oblivion-class dreadnoughts themselves—along with tens of thousands of battleship-grade main batteries, secondary batteries, and a similar amount of other weapon systems, the Silver Battle Star was capable of taking on entire fleets and empires independently.
It could open up new frontiers on its own if called for! It possessed five to ten times more power than the Star Light Fortresses fielded within the outer border systems.
Just like the outer zone star systems, the inner zone systems were teeming with ships of their own, though they were much more numerous than those deployed in the outer zone.
Instead of just a single battle group, each star system within the Inner Zone fielded approximately three sub-legions of a full Legion. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
[Note: A sub-legion is made up of approximately one hundred ships and is a distinct group in its own right. Its ship composition consists of:
4 Mother ships
8 Battleships
8 Battlecruisers
32 Destroyers
40 Frigates
8 Support ships
A Legion is made up of six sub-legions and is considered a major combat formation within the Void Fleet itself.]
A Legion was led by one Super Battleship acting as the flagship, while twelve Mother Ships acted as fleet carriers, increasing the mobility of the entire fleet by several levels.
The Resurgent-class and Antares-class battleships acted as the main forces, with battlecruisers like the Barracuda serving as support vessels. Destroyers protected the main force from any kind of harassment they might encounter, while frigates provided additional support of their own.
At this stage, other than the Super Battleships and the Mother Ships, every ship was of the First Generation class, compared to their previous Generation Zero types. With this advancement, the Void Fleet began to push its reach beyond its galactic ranking. A Tier 3 ranking was now insufficient; they were pushing toward Tier 1!
Then, there was the innermost zone of the Sol Region: [the Core Zone, also known as the Central Zone.]
At the heart of the Sol Region lie ten star systems, including the central Regal Star System. This entire zone is solely dominated by the Regal Star System, which has now evolved—or rather, regained—its former status as a Super Star System. It once held this title, but due to events that took place millions of years ago, many stars suffered total extinction, leaving the system empty. But that is the case no longer.
Surrounding the Regal Star were other Super Star Systems; though slightly smaller than the Regal Star, they were undamaged and even richer in resources.
All ten star systems were heavily guarded by six Legions each. This means a total of six fleets were deployed in every star system, along with two Battle Stars. Additionally, two fleets were deployed around the four star systems on the edge of the Central Zone.
Finally, one cannot forget the presence of the Obliterator itself within the Regal Star System, supported by four Super Battle Stars. There are six fleets deployed around each Super Battle Star, stationed across the four star systems bordering the four sides of the Regal Star System.
Note: A Fleet is made up of twelve Legions, with the total number of ships being 3,600. The fleet composition is as follows:
10 Gen-1 Mother Ships: Larger and more powerful than the Gen-0 configuration. They are able to carry more ships within their massive hulls and travel at higher FTL speeds with almost limitless range.
10 Super Battleships: More powerful versions of normal battleships. They are almost at the level of the Obliterator, though ten kilometers shorter and with slightly less firepower. However, they possess greater strength than the Oblivion-class and provide overwhelming firepower as the fleet’s primary heavy artillery.
