Chapter 622: Chapter 622: Bring It Down Together_1
Knox Ridge was already scared witless.

She was, after all, a member of the Radcliffe Family, and although she didn’t hold a high status, she was very clear about what the four words “Itai Huntington” meant.
The Radcliffe Family was just a second-tier family; even before Itai Huntington’s dramatic rise to power, they had to keep their distance with due respect.
Let alone now, when this woman held the economic lifeline of Gonzalez City in her hands.
Now that Zade Radcliffe was missing and the Radcliffe Group was on the verge of bankruptcy, Knox Ridge had become no different from an ordinary middle-aged woman.
Having just witnessed Damien Leopold nearly being choked to death, she was stunned.
“I hear you often scold and beat Julius Reed, and even told him to get out?” Itai Huntington’s smile did not reassure anyone.
Because behind that smile, there was a cold blade hidden.
“Ah…” Knox Ridge had just spoken when she immediately realized she had misspoken, so she quickly shook her head and waved her hands: “No… there’s no such thing, I treat him like my own son, really!”
Even though she cursed Julius Reed in her heart, a wise man does not fight when the odds are against him, and Knox Ridge knew she could not afford to provoke this situation now.
She could only hide!
She never imagined that this good-for-nothing could hook up with the widow of Gonzalez City, who everyone spoke of with such fear!
“Your own son?”
Itai Huntington raised her brow and grabbed Knox Ridge’s face directly: “Do you deserve it?”
“I…” Knox Ridge was usually brazen, but when faced with a strong figure like Itai Huntington, she couldn’t let out even a squeak.
“You’re not worthy! What gives you the right to have such an excellent son-in-law?” Itai Huntington let go of her hand, glanced at her and said, “I hear you also asked your daughter to divorce him?”
“No… I didn’t!” Knox Ridge quickly shook her head as vigorously as a rattle-drum.
She was truly frightened.
“No! You want them to divorce so that I can marry over there,” Itai Huntington said, followed by a loud laugh, and with a meaningful glance at Julius Reed she added, “Mother’s leaving now, if it happens again, I’ll just step in as the mistress.”
Having said that, she left with a stride as grand as King Kong’s, under everyone’s peculiar gazes.
It seemed as though speaking such words publicly, under everybody’s watch, was completely appropriate.
“If I don’t die, you’ll forever be a concubine!” Quella Radcliffe suddenly ran to the doorway and shouted at Itai Huntington.
Even Julius Reed was taken aback by that.
Quella Radcliffe actually had such a fierce side.
“Wife, it’s okay.” He walked over to Quella Radcliffe, speaking with righteous zeal, and gently wrapped his arm around his wife’s waist: “My heart only has you, no vixen will be able to take advantage of me.”
“Go to hell!” Quella Radcliffe said and angrily took out a handkerchief from her pocket, using all her strength to wipe Julius Reed’s mouth.
It’s a good thing Julius Reed had strong teeth; otherwise, they would have been pressed right out by now.
“Eat!” Quella Radcliffe threw the handkerchief aside, stepped on it with disgust, huffed, and sat back down in her chair.
After all this commotion, she really was hungry.
“Son-in-law, here, let me pour you a drink…” Just as Julius Reed sat down, Knox Ridge picked up a beer from the table, endlessly trying to ingratiate herself.
Seeing this unusual behavior, Julius Reed felt somewhat uncomfortable: “I can pour it myself.”
“Don’t!”
Knox Ridge hurriedly spoke: “I was wrong before, after dinner, you and Quella divorce…”
“Pfft!”
Julius Reed sprayed out a mouthful of beer, looking at her in astonishment: “What did you say?”
Divorce?
She dared to bring up divorce now?
“Julius, I’m begging you, or else I’ll call you ancestor, please divorce Quella,” Knox Ridge pleaded with a crying voice: “Itai Huntington is not someone us commoners can afford to offend. I was wrong before, and now I’ll kneel down to you…”
Having said that, she actually knelt down and, agreeing with herself, gave Burl Radcliffe a fierce thump: “Kneel down and apologize.”
“Mom! What are you doing!”
Quella Radcliffe was truly going to be driven mad.
They were good for nothing, only capable of making things worse!
“Quella Radcliffe, you better kneel and beg him quickly. If Itai Huntington does come for us, none of us will have any peace,” Knox Ridge said frantically as she pulled Quella, completely devoid of her earlier arrogance.
“Divorce, it’s impossible for me to divorce.” Julius Reed’s face darkened, “If you dare to bring this up again, I’ll tell Itai Huntington. As you have seen, she is obedient to me.”
“This…”
Knox Ridge felt like she was at the end of her tether, wondering how she ended up with such a son-in-law.
But as soon as Cooper Ridge heard this statement, he hurried over and knelt in front of Julius Reed, “Brother-in-law, I was wrong!”
While hitting himself in the face, he begged, “Please speak to Chairman Huntington and ask her to forgive me just this once. I will be forever grateful to you.”
With Itai Huntington listening to Julius Reed like this, if Julius were to say a few good words, Cooper might be able to advance even further.
“Get lost! Say one more word, and I’ll make sure you can’t leave through this door!” Julius Reed said coldly.
For such a petty person, he was being merciful by not killing him right there, considering Quella’s face.
And yet he dared to push his luck?
“You…” Cooper Ridge got up from the ground, roared in anger, “Just a pretty boy, what’s the big deal! When someone better comes along, they’ll kick you to the curb with one foot!”
After speaking, he angrily left the room.
Darnell Ridge followed suit, dragging Damien Leopold behind him in a sorry state, leaving the Treasure Wine House’s private room in disgrace.
With things having escalated to this point, they had no face left to stay here.
Even Bron Martin, seemingly in mourning, slinked out dejectedly.
“Boss Brown, with the recent events, we’ll need to trouble you to be more watchful.”
At this moment.
Inside the hallway of Treasure Wine House, recently acquitted Elwood Thorneycroft was talking and smiling with a middle-aged man beside her.
“Don’t worry, I’ve been waiting for Mr. Thorneycroft to return. We are all very happy that Miss Thorneycroft could come back safely today,” Rebecca Brown smiled and nodded, pointing to a private room inside, “My folks are all here, wanting to welcome Miss Thorneycroft back and clean away the dust of the journey.”
“Thanks, Boss Brown, for turning against Aron Jackson, Father was very pleased. But since he’s injured, he will definitely meet with everyone once he’s healed,” Elwood Thorneycroft replied with a smile as well.
Rebecca Brown was one of the five elders working under Aron Jackson.
But his real identity was a piece hidden by Devlin back in the day.
The day after Fabian Percival arrived in Gonzalez City, Rebecca Brown brought his fellow workers and enterprises from dozens of companies in the city, along with a large tract of industries, to support Fabian Percival.
Such a meritorious person would normally be received by Fabian Percival in person.
But due to his injury, he had to let Elwood Thorneycroft act as the host in his stead.
“Miss Thorneycroft, please,”
Rebecca Brown stood at the entrance of the private room, gesturing with his hand.
Just then, Cooper Ridge stormed out of the Treasure Wine House’s private room furiously, saw people standing side by side down the hallway, and shoved past without a good word.
“Out of the way! Don’t block my path!”
An unprepared Rebecca Brown was knocked to the ground.
“Ow, catch him!”
Rebecca Brown grimaced in pain.
At his command, the workers at the door immediately stepped forward and pinned Cooper Ridge against the corridor wall.
“Let go of me! You bunch of dogs!”
Already seething with anger, Cooper Ridge was understandably upset at being seized.
“Release my son!”
Darnell Ridge, following close behind him, saw this scene and immediately led his companions to rush forward.
There were only two of them while there were four or five on his side.
“Are you his father?”
After being helped up by Elwood Thorneycroft, Rebecca Brown looked at Darnell Ridge with a cold gaze.
“Indeed! You’ve got some nerve, touching my son, Cooper Ridge! What a bunch of blind fools,” Darnell Ridge looked them over and cursed at the group before him.
“Good, take them all down!”
Rebecca Brown’s eyes flashed coldly as he gently dusted off his clothes.
