Elias brought the unconscious boy inside the Shadow Realm, where he had created a special place.

It was a small house that was made from plain wood, created right next to the lab where Dreke was trapped. He had further reinforced the wood with other elements, to make it almost impossible to break.

He opened the door of the small wooden house, and dragged the boy inside.

The house was small, and only consisted of two rooms. One was a room where a small bed was placed, which he stole from his own mansion at the Academy.

There were also a few more things to make it feel like home, including some books that could be read to spend time and maintain sanity. There was an entire shelf created for the books.

On the other side of the room, there was a dining table with a few chairs around it.

"I still wonder, if we really needed to go this far for a simple captive. Won't it be easier if you just killed him?" Astralious materialized and sat on a chair around the table.

"That would be easier indeed, but I need him alive. I am taking his identity, and there are still many things that can go wrong. It's better to have him alive."

Elias placed the boy on the bed, and walked over to another shelf where he had kept reinforced shackles that had a one meter chain between them to allow the boy some mobility when it came to eating.

He tied the shackles around the boy's hands, but not before switching their clothes. He also took the rings of the boy, and even the accessories that he was wearing, including an earring on the left ear.

"This is truly a hassle," Elias placed the small cross shaped earring on his left ear. He didn't care about the small amount of bleeding from his ear when he wore the earring.

The thing that truly worried him was that he might accidentally forget to take off the earrings or place it on his ears if switching back and forth with his identities.

"I will try to not make such an obvious mistake. But if I'm switching back, and I forget to take this thing off, it's your responsibility to remind me."

He instructed Astralious, who was always with him, just to be on the safer side.

Once he was finished changing clothes, there were only a few more things left to finish.

The first thing was to take a blood sample of the boy for emergency cases, in case he ever needed to verify his identity with blood and couldn't come to the shadow realm.

He also took the identification token of the boy that was given by the academy. As it wasn't linked to the soul of the person, it was easy for anyone to use.

With that, he now has three identification tokens, with one belonging to the descendant of the Esterin Family.

Once he finished changing clothes, there was only one thing left. It was to change his looks.

Fortunately, that was even easier, as it was something that he had been something he was prepared for for a long time.

He glanced at the boy, his facial features slowly transforming into the identical features to the boy.

He could only make minor changes to his body, but that was enough to disguise as the boy who shared an almost similar physique, and somewhat similar facial features already.

"How do I look?" He asked Astralious, even as he could see his reflection on the academy badge.

"You looked better before. Now you look completely identical to that boy. It's like looking into a mirror image."

"That should be good enough." Elias tapped his forehead and extracted the sleeping poison from the boy's body.

He stepped back, and turned a chair around. Facing the boy, he sat on the chair and started waiting for him to wake up.

A few minutes passed, before the boy's eyelids trembled.

"Hmm?" He slowly opened his eyes, feeling something soft like a mattress beneath him.

For a moment, he thought that he was at the academy, forgetting about the test entirely. It was only when he regained his senses completely, he remembered that he was beaten by Elias.

He suddenly sat up to analyze his surroundings, and when he did that, his eyes widened to find another person in the room. The person in this room looked identical to him. It was as if they were twins.

"Who are you?" His eyes shifted to the earring around the boy's ears, which belonged to him. Subconsciously, he touched his own ear and came to realize that he was missing his earring.

Not just his earring, he was also missing many more things. He was wearing clothes that didn't quite belong to him. And there were also chains around his hand, which only allowed his hands to be one meter apart from each other.

"Is this a dream?" he asked, pinching his cheeks. Nothing that he was seeing here made sense to him. It could only be a dream.

"It's not a dream," Elias calmly answered. "But it would be easier on both of us, if you do treat it like a long dream."

The pain felt too real when the boy pinched his cheeks. He was wide awake, and certain that this truly wasn't a dream. But then why was he seeing his clone before him?

"Do you have a shape-shifting ability?" the boy asked, his expressions slowly growing worse.

"You can say that as well." Elias nodded.

"Who exactly are you?" the boy asked. "And what do you want with me?"

"Do you really need to ask that question, even though I haven't even changed my voice yet?" Elias asked, clearly showing his disappointment. "Don't tell me I knocked your senses off when I thrashed you?"

"You! Elias Ashborn!" The boy's pupils trembled, and he stood up in disbelief. The person who had taken his face, was the same person who had killed his Summoned Beast?
