Two grenades exploded, and Vernon instantly became scattered everywhere. A young couple screamed in horror at the sight of a severed arm, while someone in another car vomited in terror, and another person rolled their eyes and fainted.

In the frontmost car, Herman, who witnessed the entire process from the passenger seat, was dumbfounded, his face losing all traces of a smile. He asked in disbelief:

"What's going on? Isn't Vernon your subordinate? Why did you kill him?"

Vasel Wen wiped the blood from the window and said casually: 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"He was too heavy."

Hearing this, Herman's brow twitched. Vasel Wen glanced back at him and asked indifferently:

"Any problem?"

"..."

Herman stared at Vasel Wen for a few seconds, then suddenly laughed:

"You really are a madman."

————

"The people in that car definitely have mental issues!"

Not far behind, Winslow and others were also startled by the sudden murder and body dump.

Clearly, the other side intended to create traffic chaos with the explosion to block their pursuit and buy themselves escape time.

The intention was obvious, but the methods were truly ruthless.

"Mona, contact the patrol officers and have them send more people to handle the explosion site."

Luo An's expression turned slightly cold. As he gave the order, he decisively turned the steering wheel, drove into the opposite lane, and weaved through oncoming traffic for a few seconds to bypass the blocked accident site before returning to the highway to continue the chase.

The patrol officers behind slowly parked at the accident site, dealing with the scene to rescue people on one hand and quickly clearing the road on the other, as the SWAT team's transport vehicles were rushing to get through.

The murder and body dump, along with the grenade explosion, did indeed pose some trouble for Luo An and the others, forcing a certain distance between them.

Vasel Wen and his companion were the first to reach the harbor. The harbor staff hadn't reacted yet when Vasel Wen floored the gas pedal, broke through the barricade, and drove towards the nearby dock.

A few seconds later, the MPV followed into the port. Luo An and others had just arrived at the dock when a beautiful two-story white motorboat shot out of the dock, speeding towards the distant sea.

"Filthy bastards!"

"Son of a Bitch!"

Chenier's face was very unsightly seeing this, and Winslow and Reesi started cursing, while Mona immediately turned and prepared to walk towards the harbor staff, saying:

"I'll go find a boat!"

"I'll contact the Coast Guard!"

Michelle quickly followed to seek help. At this moment, Luo An's brow subtly moved, and he said seriously:

"Wait a moment!"

Mona and Michelle paused their actions:

"What's wrong?"

Reesi, Chenier, and Winslow also turned their puzzled expressions to Luo An.

Luo An didn't explain much, just took out a handgun from his back and released the safety, gestured tactically for everyone to keep quiet, and quickly moved to the other side of the dock in a crouched position.

Reesi and the others exchanged a quick glance, soon realizing something and got invigorated. They swiftly drew their weapons and silently followed Luo An.

This harbor was quite large. Besides the small motorboats and sailboats for tourist activities, a number of medium-sized yachts were docked not far on the other side, and even a large ship was anchored further away.

Luo An quickened his pace forward, followed closely by Reesi and the others. They soon reached an open area without boats, where the two-story white motorboat had just left the harbor and headed into the sea.

Around them, besides the various boats, it was deserted and very quiet. Luo An's expression remained unchanged as he signaled Winslow, Reesi, and Michelle to advance from the left, planning to encircle a nearby yacht, while he led Chenier and Mona to charge from the right.

Winslow asked no questions, nodded to accept the order, and led Reesi and Michelle to rapidly move out. They crossed over sailboats and quickly surrounded the target yacht, just as they were about to approach slowly, two grenades suddenly flew out from inside the yacht.

"Take cover!"

"Get down!"

Winslow's pupils shrank as he urgently shouted about the grenades. Luo An also ordered everyone to take cover, initially intending to pull out a grenade to retaliate, but sensing something, he stopped his actions and joined the others in shielding themselves.

Boom—

Boom—

Orange-red flames flashed; the explosion of the grenades instantly snapped a mast of a nearby sailboat, and the flashing sparks quickly set the sails ablaze.

Fortunately, the special investigation team members weren't injured. Luo An shouted loudly:

"Vasel Wen, you are already surrounded!"

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen!"

Just as Luo An finished speaking, a shout came from the deck of the yacht, and three figures—two in front and one behind—walked out.

At this time, the clock showed 10:20 PM, and most of the lights were off, but the small lights that remained allowed a view of the deck.

A young and pretty woman, looking no more than thirty, accompanied by a big-bellied, Mediterranean-haired white man appearing in his fifties, with a terrified expression and trembling body, walked out first.

Neither of them wore much clothing, the woman even only had a shirt on her upper body, with her cleavage clearly visible; while the man only wore large shorts on his lower body, hinting at what they were likely doing before.

Vasel Wen, wielding two pistols pointed at the back of their heads, hid himself completely behind them, chuckled and asked:

"May I introduce myself? I still don't know who is trying to catch me."

"We're the FBI."

Luo An smiled and said:

"You can call me Luo An Greenwood."

"Luo An Greenwood, such a familiar name..."

Vasel Wen, with a slight frown, deliberated for a few seconds, his expression changed, and he inquired:

"Are you the Luo An Greenwood from Washington D.C?!"

"If there aren't any duplicates at the FBI Washington Headquarters, that should be me."

Luo An chuckled softly, gesturing imperceptibly for Winslow and Chenier to circle around and then asked:

"So, have you heard of me?"

"Of course!"

Vasel Wen displayed a somewhat excited smile and said:

"Group Leader Luo An, your name is one that an old friend of mine mentions so frequently that my ears are nearly getting calluses from it.

He was an assassin for the 'Skull Flower' organization, forced into unemployment because of you; he couldn't even afford his pension and had to do odd jobs everywhere.

We drank together not long ago; he dreams of killing you but doesn't dare, having been scared witless by you. What a pity."

Winslow and Chenier quickly returned, shaking their heads with grim expressions. Luo An's expression didn't change, continuing to smile as he said:

"Not exactly a pity, at least you let me know about this, that there's still an assassin who resents me to the bone.

Later, you could tell me that fellow's identity, so I can have a good chat and help him overcome his grudge."

"I like your humor, Group Leader Luo An."

Vasel Wen laughed heartily on deck, then said:

"So, Group Leader Luo An, today you're not planning on letting me leave, are you?"

"What do you think?"

As Luo An responded with a rhetorical question, the distant lights suddenly shone brightly; the SWAT team, Coast Guard, and several patrol officers appeared, running swiftly towards them.

"I think... it would be better to let me leave."

Seeing the group rushing from afar, Vasel Wen's expression remained unchanged; as everyone circled the yacht, he shouted loudly:

"Ladies and gentlemen, I have planted ten bombs in this harbor beforehand, and no one knows their location but me!"
