Legendary Oops System-Chapter 44: Rejoicing An Enemy’s Defeat
"A pervert?"
White asked, fully rising to his feet.
"White?"
Nova’s call echoed behind him and he froze. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"What are you doing here?"
"I was just..."
"What else could he be trying to do by sneaking into our training room, if not to feast his eyes on our bodies and post our sweaty pics online?"
The pink-haired girl said, and White turned his down casted expression to her.
"Your sweaty pics? What would any guy want to do with the sweaty pics of a girl with no boobs?"
He said, looking at her flat chest.
"You!"
Her face reddened up in anger, as she cleaved forward.
Five blade arcs slashed forward towards his face.
’Activate Limitless Interval.’
White thought in his mind, the claws slowing down and giving him just enough time to dodge his head to the side and avoid the attack.
She moved as if expecting his dodge, claws slamming towards his chest.
"Stop, Morgaine."
The call echoed from behind her and her claw halted a few centimeters away from White’s chest.
"Hmph,"
Morgaine huffed in her annoyance, taking back her claws.
"I asked Morgaine to help with training after class."
Nova said as she reached White, who scratched the back of his head.
"I just thought it was weird...knowing how psycho she is."
He mused.
"I’m not a psycho!"
Morgaine claimed from the side.
"You tried to put a claw in my neck for not getting the answer you want. that too on our first day of meeting. You call that ’unpsycho?’"
White asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I just don’t like roundabout answers, that’s all."
She claimed and he scoffed.
"She helped me to the hospital and accepted my training request too. She’s a friend."
’I wouldn’t be so trusting,’
He thought quietly, looking at Morgaine, though his expression easily conveyed his thoughts.
"Then, I’ll leave you to it. You both have fun, I guess."
He said, pocketing his hands and leaving for the exit.
He had not gone very far when he felt the footsteps running behind him and he turned to find Nova, whose hands reached for his pocket, bringing out his phone.
She quickly typed in it before passing it back to him.
It was her phone number.
Leaning closer to his ears, she whispered,
"If you call and I don’t pick up, then... most likely, something is wrong. You can stalk me then."
She added, and White’s face reddened.
"I wasn’t stalking. Just... just,"
"I’ll be fine."
She whispered to his ear, and he felt his cheeks grow a bit cold after.
She rose up, returning to Morgaine, and White also turned back, leaving through the door, but only after arriving on the teleporter did it occur to him and his eyes widened in shock.
"Wait. Did she just... kissed me?"
________
"Thought you were both brother and sister. Twins to be exact?"
Morgaine asked with suspicion in her eyes.
Of course, she had seen her little kiss.
"I didn’t kiss him on the lips, did I?"
Nova replied walking past her, and Morgaine’s head rbuzzed
’Wait, family members do kiss each other, right?’
’No. No. Pretty sure there’s something amiss.’
The confusion left her stunned, only waking up when Nova called out.
"Scared out of the fight already?"
"Don’t grow too cocky, pretty girl. I’m 5th on the ranking for a reason."
She claimed, jumping on the battle stage, and soon enough the sound of attacks began to ring ceaselessly.
______
After his little stalking embarrassment, White decided to go to the cafeteria.
He checked his watch and was surprised to see his points had grown to 310.
There was a notification of him having received points from two people.
The first was a person called Health Instructor Celestine, who left the simple message.
[Thank you for the help.]
It was most likely her, the health instructor that had cured Nova.
She had sent him points for helping.
And the second person was Battle Instructor Kaelder.
It was the man, and White was quietly confused on his message.
[Thanks for the job.]
’Did he just send me points for whooping someone’s ass?’
He mused to himself in disbelief but brushed it off.
All of this just meant he could reward himself with good food.
He ordered food that cost 30 points, filling up half his entire table, and quickly dove in.
He had not eaten for a minute when he felt someone’s presence.
Since it was night, there was nobody around in the cafeteria, so curiosity got the best of him and he turned to look.
Who he saw was someone he’d rather not meet tonight.
A crimson-haired boy whose eyes also scanned around the room.
It landed straight on White, his expressionless face turning into a grin.
’Oh no.’
White mused in his head, watching as Rukun came to sit before him.
"Quite the feast you’re having. Mind if I dive in?"
Rukun asked, but White pulled his food to himself.
"I’d rather you don’t. I worked hard for my food after all."
"Hehehe."
Rukun cackled evilly, before ordering his own food.
It just happened to be one that was 31 points, 1 more than the one White had ordered.
Of course, White noticed, sighing in exasperation.
"Speaking of working hard for your food, I have to respect that. Heard you defeated Gustav."
Rukun asked, clear awe in his eyes, though he seemed to be trying to rein it down.
"Just by luck."
White replied with a shrug before continuing.
"You don’t look too bad yourself. Was expecting you’ll only get out of the hospital bed tomorrow morning."
Rukun’s brows quivered, and he paused.
"Are you mocking me?"
"I actually am, hahaha."
White said, unable to hold back his grin, which soon spiraled into loud laughter.
Rukun looked at him with an expressionless face, not at all affected, continuing to eat.
White eventually slowed down his laughter after he had laughed satisfactorily.
"Since I did lost my fight, fair and square, I guess you can have all the laughter you want."
He said after, and White grinned.
If his enemy lost a battle, of course that was something to rejoice about.
"Do rest assured that my defeat is temporary. Next week Monday, I’ll be challenging Innumaki. Then, you right after."
He claimed, and White paused before he smiled, replying,
"Seems to me like you’ll be having some tough weeks ahead."
