Bill came out of John’s shadow and looked as normal as ever. His eyes focused on that one Kobold that shot ice spike at them.

"I will take care of it, stay here for now." He was going to travel yet a hand grabbed him.

"I don’t take orders from you!" Jerry shouted in annoyance. Bill sighed and pointed to the far right where some animals were fighting.

John saw the horror of that fight, Lucas ripping apart the Kobold while the latter did the same. A big smile on Lucas’s face with eyes so sharp it was hard to look at them.

"He is busy and we are on our own for now."

Jerry nodded and looked at the three ladies at the back, trying their best to give support yet there was no opportunity till now.

Healing was not needed and the beasts were of no use in such a fight. The rat was out of its mind looking at the creatures in front of it fight while hiding behind Ella’s shoulder while Duke just stared at them fight while moving its limbs around as if it was trying to replicate the fight too.

Ella had thrown many balls of healing toward Lucas which was the reason why Lucas had been in the fight for so long. Her healing and the unbelievable one that was happening inside his body.

The title of the body tempering had increased his natural regeneration which at first sounded pretty normal yet only if one saw it with their own eyes was it when they would see what an opportunity it was to stay alive.

Jerry had moved his focus to the Kobolds in front of it in mere seconds again, after giving this much time to them, many of the Kobolds had started traveling toward them.

"Watch ou-?" Jerry was going to say to Bill yet he was nowhere to be found.

John held his buckler high, his demeanor serious for the trouble he was going to get into.

The ice attack just now had shook him a little because he hadn’t expected it. But now things were even better now that he knew even these guys had skills like this.

He became more vigilant than before.

*"UGH!! "*

A kobold in the back shouted making the other Kobolds stop and look back too with their tails waving left and right and without moving their bodies, their necks were long enough to just move completely toward the back.

A trait not envied by the humans even when they couldn’t move their necks fully back. Too creepy.

Bill was in the back with yet another Kobold’s head in his hand, his dagger fully green in color while he looked at the corpse and the dagger with disdain.

*"How are the prey so strong?!"* A Kobold questioned with its eyes wide open, something that looked very scary if not accustomed to it already.

*"Leader!!"*

Even John understood by leader what the Kobold was entailing, his eyes moved back toward the fight between his leader and the big Kobold.

Jerry didn’t know what he should feel by looking at the situation.

Even Bill who was himself very creepy couldn’t help but frown.

Lucas had his hand completely inside the chest of the Kobold while it kept scratching Lucas’s arms with aggressiveness in order to get itself back.

The ferocious animal that big that even Jerry didn’t feel like fighting was desperately pleading to Lucas in its own way to take his hand out.

"Damn…" Sandra spoke as she looked at the darkness around the Kobold increase each second, the darkness was seeping out of its whole body. Sandra saw it get engulfed in the darkness completely.

She felt it to be ominous no matter what he thought, she couldn’t deactivate her ability. In the end, she only had to close her eyes completely.

What she missed completely was the mess Lucas had become from outside and inside, he was bearing his teeth toward the Kobold while squeezing the flesh he could hold inside the Kobold’s body.

His whole leather equipment was tattered while blood came out yet Lucas couldn’t care less. He was staring at the Kobold’s eyes with fury.

"Why weren’t you strong?" He muttered slowly that not many could hear aside from many Kobolds with high hearing sensitivity.

Lucas had his heart aching from the end of the fight, he wanted more yet the Kobold had died with just too little. He wanted to tear its limbs one by one before the Kobold could die.

In his heart, he didn’t want the creature to die at all but to fight him day and night without stop, he was that desperate.

What even Lucas couldn’t see was the darkness that Sandra had saw leaving the Kobold’s body getting soaked in his body by a certain mark on his body.

The smoke of darkness was as if getting seeped inside Lucas’s body through the mark of the damned making it a tad bit bigger in the process.

At the same time, while Lucaw was feeling his sadness for the Kobold’s death in his own way, the darkness that had come out of his heart had started getting inside, only there was more this time, getting inside his heart and not coming out making his heat look baggy and heavy literally.

Lucas after staring at the limp Kobold for a long time pulled his hand out with gooey green mess all over it.

He saw the Kobold drop on the ground and with a sigh finally looked at the situation near his companions.

Four Kobold were staring right at him only there was something that he could feel from them, FEAR.

Lucas clenched his chest while holding his sword at the same time, wanting to dominate that fear in the Kobolds.

No darkness came out of his heart yet the mark of the damned pulsed with heat.

Lucas had a shimmer of dark in his eyes while he started at the Kobolds, not knowing it was the only reason the Kobolds had not run away already.

No matter how much they tried, their bodies wouldn’t budge at all under Lucas’s gaze.

Lucas made his way toward the Kobolds, his emotions unknown to even him this time.
