Leveling Up by Seducing Milfs-Chapter 173. The Blob
A huge, corrupted sea serpent came up from below, as if his words had called it. The creature had to be thirty meters long, and its body was covered in armored scales that glowed with purple corruption.
As it wrapped around the megalodon and tried to crush it, its eyes burned with smart malice.
"At last...! A fight that’s worthy of my real power!" Zara’s smile was totally wild as she went full demon mode.
Horns grew out of her forehead, demonic wings grew out of her back, and her aura exploded with red energy. She used Blood Price right away, giving up health for a huge boost in power.
"W-Whoa...! I didn’t know she could do that," Rick thought to himself.
"She can do that because of the Spirit Bond with you. Don’t forget that every woman you’ve bonded with also makes them even stronger than before."
Zara fought the sea serpent head-on, wrestling the huge beast in the open water. "Come on, you big worm!"
"I’ve fought worse things in the demon realm!" The serpent tried to bite Zara, but her laughter echoed through the water.
Natasha helped with Glacial Fortress, which made a shield around Zara that absorbed fifty percent of the damage. The barrier let the demon general take the serpent’s bite without getting hurt badly.
"Natasha, keep its mouth open!" Rick said it through bond resonance.
"Zara, when I say now, point-blank Demon Queen’s Wrath down its throat!"
"Frost Spike, precision shot!" Natasha’s ice magic made a huge spear that got stuck in the serpent’s mouth.
"Now!" Rick yelled.
Zara put both of her hands right into the serpent’s mouth. "Demon Queen’s Wrath, point-blank range!"
BAAMMM!
The red explosion came from inside the creature. The whole head of the sea serpent blew up, sending corrupted pieces flying everywhere.
Zara came out of the blood cloud, laughing like a madwoman.
She yelled, "Damn, I fucking missed this!" and got back on the megalodon’s back with the others.
Rick quickly looked at their situation. The megalodon had some small wounds but was still stable.
Because they worked together so well, his team didn’t get hurt very much, but they were only twelve hundred meters away from their goal, with three thousand more to go.
Rick said, "We can’t fight every creature in the ocean," as he thought about how to win.
"Thalor, what’s the fastest the megalodon can go?"
"Full speed? I can’t give you the correct answer because I can’t calculate it." Thalor didn’t seem sure.
"We would reach Meridia in twenty minutes instead of two hours, but this would attract all corrupted beings to us."
"All of the corrupted beings would feel us moving and come together."
Rick decided to proceed regardless. "We just need to use speed over stealth."
"We fight what we have to and run away from the rest."
Thalor nodded and blew a new pattern of whistles. Three long, high-pitched notes that made the megalodon’s eyes shine bright blue.
The shark’s tail started pumping at an incredible speed, sending them down at speeds that shouldn’t be possible.
The descent turned into a blur of fighting and movement. Corrupted creatures tried to stop them between twelve hundred and two thousand meters, but they couldn’t keep up with their speed.
Natasha shot ice shards behind them, making a trail of frozen projectiles that scared them off. Zara swam next to the megalodon, laughing as they sped past predators that were getting more and more desperate.
A corrupted whale tried to hit them at a distance of two thousand meters. The creature was huge, at least three times the size of a megalodon, but Thalor was able to steer them away at the last second.
As they passed, Natasha instantly froze the whale’s eye, and the creature’s roar of pain echoed through the water as they left it behind.
They went into a forest of bioluminescent corrupted jellyfish that was between three and four thousand meters deep. The jellyfish were as big as small houses, and their tentacles crackled with purple lightning that lit up the dark.
The megalodon swiftly navigated the deadly obstacle course, and Thalor’s guidance proved accurate despite the challenges they faced. Carmilla cut through tentacles that got too close with her sword, which was sharp and quick.
Rick’s gooner brain turned on for a short time. "This is like that anime with the monsters in the water, but worse..."
"Wait a minute... why am I thinking about anime while I’m fighting for my life!?"
"FOCUS, YOU GODDAMN GOONER!"
Thalor’s excited voice broke the tension at four thousand meters. "We’re almost there!
"I can see the outer wards!"
Rick looked ahead and saw what the ocean dweller meant. A faint, shimmering barrier stretched across the dark in a huge hemisphere shape.
The ward protected everything inside it by covering an area the size of a city. Inside the barrier, they could see glowing coral structures that were still far away but getting closer quickly.
The difference was very clear. Outside the wards, thick purple-black corruption made the water almost impossible to see through.
Inside, the water appeared nearly pristine.
Sebastian, who was floating next to Rick’s head, said, "Those wards are holding."
"Well... not really. I would give them sixty-seven days before they completely fail." Thalor wasn’t lying about the time frame.
They were five hundred meters from the ward boundary when Rick’s danger sense exploded with warning intensity. Bond resonance went absolutely haywire, screaming that something catastrophically dangerous approached. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"Shit! Brace yourself, everyone!" Rick yelled to alert them all.
Something big moved in the dark ahead.
And it’s not a normal corrupted fish or anything.
The thing that came out was hard to describe. It was so big that the megalodon looked like a little fish next to it.
Thalor trembled in fear when he saw what it was. "T-The Blob...!"
The blob was a shapeless mass of rotten flesh with purple-black mucus dripping from it. There were hundreds of eyes on its body, and each one was a different size.
They all stared in different directions with mindless hunger. Mouths opened and closed all over it, screaming and moaning and making sounds that no living thing should make.
Despite lacking a distinct shape, the blob navigated the water with a ferocious intensity.
"No, no, no!" Thalor’s voice broke with fear. "That’s not possible!"
"That’s a mix of corruption! "It takes months for those types of corruption to form!"
The blob’s main mouth opened wide, showing a cavern-sized mouth full of teeth that didn’t match. The inside was a churning hell of dead bodies, acidic corruption, and a pulsing core of pure corrupted energy.
Then it made a vacuum.
The water surrounding them began to flow towards the massive mouth, resembling a continental-scale whirlpool. The megalodon swam as fast as it could against the current, but it was too strong.
They were being pulled toward the blob’s mouth without any chance of escape.
"Oh yeah... we’re fucked..." Rick said with a blank expression.
Carmilla grabbed Liora and held them both against the megalodon’s back. Natasha tried to freeze the water current, but the ice broke right away because of the huge force.
Zara’s demonic wings flared as she tried to move the megalodon forward, but even with all her strength, it didn’t work.
"L-Liora! Can you please cleanse it up now!?" Rick yelled in a panic.
Liora looked at the blob and quickly figured it out. "It’s too big!"
"It would take me at least ten minutes to charge up enough holy energy for something that big!"
Thalor yelled, "We’re two hundred meters from the wards!" as the current got stronger and he lost control of the megalodon.
"We’ll be safe if we can just get to them!"
The mouth of the blob got bigger. Rick could now see the inside clearly.
An acidic slurry caused the remains of dead sea creatures to spin around. The core of the corruption pulsed with a sickening rhythm, and there were many bodies of ocean creatures floating in the mass, half-dissolved, and still screaming.
The megalodon lost its balance and was pulled back, even though it was swimming forward with all its might.
One hundred fifty meters away from safety.
The megalodon was only a hundred meters from any form of protection.
The blob’s mouth got even bigger, and it was big enough to swallow all of them in one gulp. The pull got stronger and stronger until it was impossible to resist.
Liora’s Sanctified Sphere even started to flicker from the stress.
Rick’s mind was racing. They had fought and lived through dragons, demons, and corrupted demon kings.
A blob couldn’t defeat them.
Not here.
Not when they were so close.
Sebastian floated by, still somehow writing down what he saw. "Well, Rick, at least you’ll die with many MILFs around you."
"That’s very typical of you."
The mouth of the blob started to close around them.
Rick felt the bond network pulse with determination from all five partners. Carmilla’s unwavering courage. Natasha’s calculating brilliance. Liora’s divine faith. Sylvia’s fierce protectiveness was evident even from a distance. Zara’s battle-hungry defiance.
The mouth closed all the way, and darkness fell.
And then everything turned black.
