Life Of A Nobody - as a Villain-Chapter 363: The troubles of Saisha Ellsworth
After the match was over Saisha directly left the spar grounds and started walking towards her next class.
Her mood which was slightly better after giving Becca a beating, instantly turned sour again after seeing her guard, Jaesin standing there by the door, with the same downcast look.
"Have you still not found anything about that guy?" She couldn't help but ask about the task she had given him.
"I asked people to investigate, but the results are…"
"It's been over a month now."
Hearing the same response, Saisha cut him off and spoke in an angry tone. Her calm face was filled with a touch of annoyance that gave her a cold appearance.
"Can't you even find the background of some local no name gang?" She asked again.
"Princess, it's not just us who are investigating the Eclipse, even the world association and various other guilds are also doing the same." Jaesin raised his head to respond, "But so far other than a few names and hints about their small activities, nothing about them has been found by anyone."
Seeing that Saisha was listening and didn't interrupt him again, he carefully chose his words and kept explaining.
"Before making a move against Evil's Scion and Wrath at that time, no one even knew of their names or had taken them seriously, but now…"
"I don't care about their business and goals, I asked you to find out information about their leader and all you've given me are useless excuses. If you can't do your job, then ask the seniors and others for help, instead of bringing me the same stupid response."
Jaesin, who was trying to explain that he had been trying hard, but even after using all their resources and connections he couldn't track them, was interrupted again by Saisha, who gave him a cold response before walking past her class without turning back.
Jaesin, who was left behind just kept staring at her back with some confusion and questions, but it was obvious that she didn't want to talk to him, and nowadays he didn't have the guts to voice them out like before.
Ever since the day of the freshers party his princess had been acting cold and weird for some reason. She started skipping classes and had been in a constant bad mood ever since then.
Not long after that day, she suddenly asked him to investigate the group of villains who suddenly appeared in that auction, especially about their leader.
At first he just thought she was curious and wanted to punish them, but his illusion was soon broken, when he mentioned their leader's name in the first report.
Saisha, she seemed to 'hate' that guy for some reason.
But he did his job without question, thinking she was angry as he saw that man trying to kill her that day, but even that illusion was broken during his next report, where he showed her a few clips of Shiva's past appearances and actions on floating islands.
Seeing him killing innocents and burning people alive for no reason but just to increase his fear and fame, when he called him a rotten criminal and nothing else, for the first time he saw her getting mad at him.
And now, it had become a constant for her.
Her calm nature which earned her the nickname of daughter of nature, had been long gone, and she seemed to always be on edge.
"Fuck, if I ever see that bastard, I'll kill him with my own hands." Jaesin didn't know why the princess was so interested in that man, but that didn't stop him from hating that guy. He swore he'll kill him and clear out all this Eclipse as soon as he found the hole they're hiding in.
How dare they ruin his relationship with the princess. Simply courting death.
..
Unlike Jaesin, who was fuming over the mysterious leader of Eclipse, Saisha was walking around the hallways with a lost look, mumbling something incomprehensible.
"Who are you?
Do I know you?
From where though?"
On the eve of freshers party after she let loose and lost her mana, she walked back to her room, whole way thinking why she did what she did, or what exactly was she feeling at that moment?
Yet even after pondering on it for a long time she couldn't figure out anything.
Was she angry?
Of course she was, otherwise she wouldn't use one of her ace spells subconsciously.
But why was she feeling angry?
She didn't know Rebecca, had never even met her before? Then why did burning her wish made her smile?
Was she feeling jealous of her?
But why?
She didn't like Rio, she only ever met him once or twice before that night. So how can she love him?
Just entangled in thoughts like these, coupled with her mana low state, she fell asleep on her bed.
And that night she had a dream.
A dream which she couldn't even remember clearly next morning, which was all just covered in fog and shadows of darkness. Where everything just seemed so blur and broken. Yet at the same time so familiar. Like going through a deja vu.
"I'm leaving first, I'm sorry I broke our promise, and your heart." A voice said this in her dream.
Was it hers? It sounded like her.
But when did she say it?
To whom?
This routine kept happening to her for the next few nights. Ruining her whole mood and behavior.
But whenever she woke up the next day, all the memories of this 'dream' would be gone. Except the clear sign of tears that remained on her cheeks, always a reminder of some unpleasant feeling.
She tried hard to remember something from her dream, but couldn't find anything. No familiar people, places, names, nothing. Everything was so different and difficult to recall in the morning.
Just that she always had this feeling of familiarity and security in her heart.
If not for this feeling of safety, she might have even doubted whether she was cursed or effected by some black magic.
And then she remembered, she had felt this feeling before.
Not in dreams, but in reality.
When she saw Rio for the first time.
She didn't know why she ignored it, why she forgot about it, yet now she knew. And she couldn't help but question herself. 'Was it him in my dream?'
But the same doubt plagued her heart again, but why? Why was he there?
It was all just giving her a one big headache and occupying her attention so much so that she wasn't even in the mood to attend any classes or even leave her room.
Until she saw a piece of news on her phone which showed some monthly report highlights, and she heard the talk about 'Eclipse' which had massacred the group of villains from Evil's Scion and Wrath, and saved everyone at the bloody auction event, as they termed it.
"Eclipse _ that man_ .." She remembered the man whom she saw and fought at the auction without even recognizing his alliance, and remembered she felt the same feeling from him too.
'Maybe _ he knows something.' She thought and remembered that despite having the chance to kill her easily, that man just knocked her out and left.
"I need to find him." She said and finally left her room after days, to order her guards.
..
And here we are. Nearly a month later
After such a long time she hasn't gotten a single clue about that man, just his name, a face, and that's all.
Over this last month Rio and Rebecca had officially confirmed their relationship publicly and she'd often see them walking together, holding hands and laughing at each other's jokes. Even if she tried to avoid them , the rumors about them would reach her ears to annoy her every hour or so.
Making her head confused and heart itchy for reasons unknown.
That's why when she saw them just sparring together, playing games and teasing each other, she couldn't even hold back and challenged Rebecca for a spar and went out of her way to defeat her.
Urgh the satisfaction… .
She thought with a smile after remembering the scene of kicking Becca down the floor.
But her smile stiffened as she realised something and couldn't help but stop.
"No, what's wrong with me? I wasn't like this? Fuck? No, why am I cursing? I don't curse, I'm a princess? Fuck."
Saisha kept walking, mumbling to herself in an angry mood, as students just watched and gave her the way since she looked pissed.
Few weeks ago, many roadside romeos would have come forward to strike a conversation and ask her for her well being, but after seeing a series of her actions this past month, many have learned it's better not to pester this princess.
Saisha didn't notice the strange eyes she was getting, or heard the silent whispers behind her back.
She just kept walking.
Until she found herself standing in an empty hallway, and in front of her was the source of all her problems, Rio Blake.
She did want to talk to him many times before tooo, but he was always with his sister, or Becca, or Katherine, or some other girl, and she just couldn't swallow her breath and start a conversation.
Hence her obsession with Shiva. But since Shiva's nowhere to be found, there's no other option.
"If I can't find the answer myself, I'll just ask you directly." She said after much thought and pep talk preparation, and stepped forward to call his name, when she saw whom he was talking to and stopped.
'Is that _ ?'
