Limitless Evolution System: Reincarnation of the Strongest Slayer God-Chapter 43: Yae’s Evaluation
Chapter 43: Yae’s Evaluation
The piercing shriek of the alarm cut through the morning silence at exactly 5:00 AM as Liam groaned, rolling over to silence the device. This early wake-up call had become routine, or at least he was trying to make it one.
He made the the daily quest interface materialized before him. The system had reset at midnight, as it always did, presenting him with another grueling challenge.
[Daily Quest]
-Complete 1,500 sit-ups
-Complete 1,500 push-ups
[Time Allotted For Quest: 1 Hour]
[Warning! Mana usage is not allowed during quest timeframe]
[Complete Daily Quests within a 24-hour period]
[Warning! Failure to complete the daily quests will result in penalty quests]
Then another screen materialised to the side,
[Do you want to begin Daily Quests?] [Yes/No]
Liam stared at the floating interface, releasing a heavy sigh. The numbers never got easier to look at, but he had no choice either way , then he selected [Yes] and immediately dropped to the floor, positioning himself for what he knew would be a torturous hour.
The timer began its relentless countdown: [00:59:58]
One by one, he pushed through each repetition. His muscles screamed in protest, sweat dripped steadily onto the hardwood floor, and his breathing became increasingly labored. But Liam had developed an almost mechanical rhythm over the last few days—push through the pain, ignore the burning sensation, focus only on the numbers.
When he finally completed the last push-up, the timer showed a mere fifty-nine seconds remaining: [00:00:59]
[Daily Quest Completed]
The notification screen flashed, before dissolving away. Then Liam executed a smooth floor kip, springing back to his feet with ease, and heading straight for the shower.
Asides from work at USOV today, more importantly, he was supposed to take Yaela for her evaluation. Twenty or thirty minutes later, he emerged from his room dressed in his preferred all-black ensemble: a long blazer over a dark v-neck shirt, matching trousers, and a sleek belt. It wasn’t a funeral or anything, but this was what he felt comfortable in today.
"Yaeee! Hope you’re ready?!" Liam called out as he descended the stairs, his voice echoing through the house.
In her predominantly pink bedroom, Yaela jolted upright at the sound of her brother’s voice. The realization hit her like a cold splash of water as she’d completely forgotten about their movement to the USOV facility for her evaluation. Slight panic set in as she frantically searched the lamp table beside her bed for her glasses, her hands sweeping across the surface until she found them.
"Just give me two minutes!" she shouted back, already rushing toward her bathroom. Liam checked his watch and shook his head, settling in to wait. He knew better than to believe Yaela’s time estimates.
"Yaelaaa!!!" he called again after several minutes had passed. "Two minutes!" came her muffled reply from upstairs. Those two minutes stretched into twenty before Yaela finally appeared at the top of the stairs. She wore an oversized checkered shirt in green and white over a white polo, paired with black jeans. The sleeves were rolled up to her elbows, giving her a casual but put-together appearance.
Liam’s eyes narrowed as he recognized the shirt. "I don’t remember giving you my shirt."
"Oh, come on, you barely wear it," Yaela replied with a dismissive wave, already heading for the door. "Let’s go." She knew her brother well enough to recognize when he wouldn’t push an argument, and sure enough, Liam simply sighed and followed her outside.
"We’re going to have to fly there, so hang tight," Liam announced once they were outside the house. Yaela nodded, and before she could brace herself, Liam swept her up in his arms, cradling her securely. His body began to levitate, and within moments they were airborne, cutting through the morning sky toward the USOV headquarters.
The flight took longer than Liam’s usual solo trips as carrying Yaela required him to moderate his speed—not because of her weight, but out of consideration for her comfort and safety. He maintained steady, gentle movements, ensuring she felt secure throughout the journey.
The imposing structure which was USOV’s building came into view. They landed smoothly in the designated arrival area, and Liam set Yaela down carefully. As they entered the organization’s main lobby, Yaela’s eyes widened with wonder.
The interior was a masterpiece of modern design—sleek lines, polished surfaces, and efficient layouts that spoke of both functionality and prestige. Agents in specialized gear moved through the corridors, traveling in pairs and heading toward their various assignments.
Liam scanned the area but didn’t spot any members of Team C. "They’re probably on field duty this morning," he murmured to himself. "Come with me," he said to Yaela, whose attention had been captured by every detail of their surroundings.
She fell into step behind him as he navigated the familiar hallways toward the Evaluation Chambers. This was the same area where Mr. Jenkings had first tested Liam’s abilities few weeks ago
Mr. Jenkins looked up as they approached, immediately recognizing Liam’s face, he asked, "Have you come to recheck your tier? The machine has been fixed, by the way, no more errors."
"The evaluation isn’t for me today," Liam replied, stepping aside and gently guiding Yaela forward. "It’s for my sister."
Mr. Jenkins nodded and turned his attention to Yaela. "All right, young lady. Do you see that platform over there?" He pointed to the raised circular dais in the center of the chamber.
Yaela nodded, her nerves beginning to show.
"Good, just stand on it and release your magic energy," Mr. Jenkins instructed. "Don’t worry—the machine will do the rest."
Taking a deep breath, Yaela stepped onto the platform. She closed her eyes, centering herself, and began to channel her magical energy outward. The machine came to life, its sensors detecting and analyzing her power output.
Numbers and readings cascaded across multiple screens, creating a complex display that meant nothing to the untrained eye. Liam watched intently alongside Mr. Jenkins, though the technical readouts were beyond his understanding. The suspense built as the machine processed its calculations.
After what felt like an eternity, though it was only a few minutes, Mr. Jenkins smiled and announced the results. "She’s a B-tier Visor."
"That’s pretty high," Liam said, unable to hide his surprise and pride.
"Seems it runs in the family," Mr. Jenkins observed, making reference to Liam’s own impressive tier rating.
Yaela stepped down from the platform, looking between the two men with obvious confusion. "So it’s a good tier then?"
"Yes," Liam said, his voice filled with genuine pride. "You’re B-tier. That’s high enough that USOV would employ you immediately if you wanted. It also means you have more potential to grow into higher tiers."
Yaela shrugged with a smile on her face, somewhat impressed with herself.
"Thank you, Mr. Jenkins," Liam said, extending his hand for a shake. "Thank you too," Yaela added as they left the Evaluation Chamber,
