"Fuck yes!" Ethan calmed down and took a few deep breaths to recover. He still tightly held on to Luna and Lia, ready to get the hell out of there any time now but he did not do that just yet.

Soon, another minute passed by, and another one of his minions reached level 25. Ethan kept glancing at the portal entrance repeatedly, fully expecting someone to burst through it but nothing of that sort happened.

Yet he did not let his guard down. There was too much at stake here. He gripped the two tightly as his minions continued their slaughter. Finally, after twenty more minutes the last of his minions hit level 25, that damn freaking worm.

The bastard took its sweet time to get there. But in the end, he managed to pull it off.

Ethan couldn't believe it. He checked his system interface and there it was. Every single one of his minions were at level 25. He could hear more notifications in the background, probably the ones about his evolution to the next rank. They can wait. First, he needed to get out of here.

He shakily accepted the 'Yes' option and the system prompt glowed. Ethan held his breath for a moment but soon enough the teleportation process started. Their vision blurred. Their bodies felt weird and everything around them was twisting and turning.

The next moment the trio appeared in the same stretch of deserted fields. Ethan was now staring at the familiar herb garden of the old hag. He released his iron grip on Luna and Lia, who both stumbled slightly, looking disoriented but otherwise unharmed.

Relief washed over him and he collapsed on the ground, his body shaking all over. That had been a close call. It was way too close.

"Are we safe now, big brother?" Luna asked cautiously, her wide eyes peering around the empty landscape as if expecting another sudden ambush.

Ethan exhaled, finally letting the tension in his shoulders ease a bit. "Yeah. We're safe—for now."

Lia, still catching her breath, glanced up at him, concern etched on her face. "Master, what just happened back there? Why were all those people after us?"

Ethan rubbed his temples, feeling a headache coming on. "Apparently, I accidentally broke several dungeon records, which drew unwanted attention. Now half the academies probably think that I have some kind of special class."

Lia gulped. Of course, she knew what her master meant. She knew firsthand just exactly how special he was. "Master, are they going to…"

"I don't think so." Ethan shook his head.

The system allowed anonymity which meant that there shouldn't be a way for anyone to track him down. Maybe someone at the top, some A ranker, or some S ranker might be able to do something but why do they bother a person of that rank for a random dungeon record?

90% he was sure that no one should be able to track him down. But ultimately only time will tell. For now, the three of them were safe and only that mattered. Maybe it was time to move again. He could find another city and become someone else's apprentice.

Ethan's mind was busy making plans when the three of them started walking back. The city seemed calm enough and the hustle and bustle was as usual. Nothing was out of place. The three walked silently back to the small shop.

Even Luna looked a little tired after the back-to-back dungeon runs. All three of them were ready to collapse as soon as they reached the small shop.

However, when they opened the door, a demoness was waiting for them. Ethan gulped as he stared at the angry eyes of the old hag. "You stinking brat, do you always have to kick up trouble no matter where you go?"

Ethan flinched under the piercing gaze of the old woman. He could almost feel the heat radiating from her furious eyes. He awkwardly cleared his throat, putting on the most innocent smile he could muster, though it probably made him look guiltier. "Uh... good to see you too?"

"Don't you 'good to see you' me, brat!" The hag's voice was sharp, her finger jabbing in Ethan's direction. "Breaking dungeon records, making the academies go mad—do you have any idea how many people you've stirred up?!"

Ethan winced, shrinking slightly. "I really didn't mean to—"

"That's the worst part!" she snapped, throwing her hands up. "You never mean to, yet trouble clings to you like flies to garbage."

Meanwhile…

The Dungeon Records Board suddenly flashed again, its glowing text seizing everyone's attention:

[Blue Portal Dungeon – Shattered Hollow]

Fastest Clear Time: 15 Minutes 58 Seconds

Previous Record Holder: Azure Moon Elite Squad – 57 Minutes

Current Record Holder: Unknown (Solo Clear)

Absolute silence descended on the hall. Shock and disbelief were plastered across every face.

"He cleared a blue portal dungeon in under half an hour?" someone whispered, stunned.

"Impossible!" another voice argued shakily.

A professor clenched his fists, sweat forming on his brow. "Get him immediately! Whoever this is, whatever class he has, we need answers, now! Don't let him leave under any circumstances. Even if it takes all day, wait here and get the damned brat."

The guy who had blocked Ethan before formed the first in line as he stood right outside the portal, angrily glaring at the blue swirling mess. "You will not escape me again. No matter how much time you take, I am going to wait right here and bring you to the headmaster."

His expression twisted in fury and embarrassment as he stared unblinking at the portal, fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned white. "You won't slip away again," he growled.

Other students also gathered around the swirling blue portal, forming a tight, anxious circle. Whispers and murmurs filled the air, growing louder and more frantic by the second.

Some faces wore excitement, others jealousy, but most revealed outright fear, fear of someone powerful enough to disrupt everything they thought they knew.
