Limitless The Strongest Revenant-Chapter 1017: Heroine - : One down [2/2]
[I would like to elaborate on that. {Restore} rounds need the target to at least still be sane. Lady Lilly's excessive use of high voltages destroyed the brain and soulgem of the Reaper. Thus, even when shot with {Restore} her {Auto} couldn't be created.]
"Tsk. Be silent, Exa. It's not my fault. How was I supposed to know that she couldn't even handle this much? She was long insane from Robyn's torture before I even touched her."
"Sigh, so you turned her into a vegetable? I guess the leads Jas and I got at great expense were wasted," I complained.
"Get stuffed, Cowtits! What did you even do? I will agree that the Niggerette did a lot of work. But you? You can't use the kids as an excuse anymore! What are the rest of your brains doing?"
Annoyed, I walked over and pressed my breasts against Robyn.
"Running assault simulations in Antarctica. Researching our shopping list with Zach. Coordinating the rest of Hellsend. What about you, jailbait?"
A huge body then physically separated Robyn and me. In a brief moment, Robyn and I were apart by over three feet. The one before us called out in a gentle tone.
"Refrain from playing for now, you two. Everyone is just on edge due to Beloved closing his link. We are allies united by one will. Our enemy is the Successor, Ethan Reeds. Thanks to everyone's efforts, we have prevented him from taking his next legacies."
Robyn and I continued to glare at each other, but we both looked away and scoffed. Liv was right. By any measure, we successfully fucked up the development plan of Ethan Reeds. Unless he claims the Legacy of Envy, he would not be able to proceed.
Even if he met the Sins of Sloth and Lust without the knowledge from the Sin of Envy, he would remain incomplete. He would also be far weaker as he would be down by at least two {Fates}. Honey, who already has all eight, would kick his ass.
Lilly nodded at Liv's words and flicked her hair before making an arrogant pose.
"I saw Exa's report on the assassination, but what about the other matter, Liv? Have you finished coordinating with Hell's Eden and Juno? Bella's findings show that we are up against nine Specters and a lot of Phantoms. While I am a Specter, I still have limits."
"I have. Eva Baker, Carlos Rodríguez, Herman Fernández, you, and Jo will each take one. Roach, Juno and a squad of Vithriss volunteered to take two. For the final two, Aki and I, along with Jas and Robyn, will fight them in pairs. As for the rest of the enemies..."
Hearing the battle plans, the old me would have felt disheartened. I was the only Siren not taking on a Specter. But fighting one-on-one battles was never my strong suit. I was a summoner. A Legion summoner. I was also the Sin of Sloth.
'I don't have to be them. I just have to do what I can. And my battles were always with numbers,' I reassured myself.
Steeling my heart, I supplemented Liv's explanations.
"I, with the wolves and whatever African force Amari finds, will take care of the Phantoms. Due to the immense cost of summoning people here from Hell's Eden. We can only bring at most a dozen people. Liv and I decided to bring the Seraphs of Satis."
The Seraphs of Satis were a unit comprised of the Wyvern Riders and snipers. Their specialty was taking out key targets and achieving aerial superiority. It would have been great if we could bring in the howitzers, but the strain was too great for Lilly.
"I see. Fine choices. The Seraphs are the most bang for your buck. Forgive me if I were only a bit stronger; I could bring more people," Lilly remarked in a gloomy tone.
At Lilly's comment, the one to reassure her was Robyn.
"Stop being so arrogant, pervert. It's me who's sorry. If only I had already ascended to a Specter, then the Niggerette wouldn't need to guard me."
Immediately after, Liv, Aki, and Jas expressed similar sentiments. I didn't know if the others still had reservations about forgetting the dead. Personally, I planned to do so before I left Africa. As much as I loved my mother and father, Honey needed me more.
I clapped my hands together to call everyone's attention. A digital screen appeared. It showed the points we would attack.
"Alright! Stop right there. I am sure everyone will evolve to Specters soon enough. No need to cry about it. We completed all of Honey's orders. Let's return. Once this begins, it will be battle after battle. Just a recap, the order of operations will be as follows.
"First, we will move to assassinate the princes. The Sirens will take point. As a bonus, we will send the Awakened to blitz the supplies being collected by the ENSAE army. The chaos will fuel a civil war that will breed more Hellsborn. Then we strike the capital itself."
I changed the screen to show the profiles of the nine recorded Specters on file. Africa had more, but they were scattered. Our plan leveraged our insane mobility. We will strike everywhere and make them unable to see our knife going for Africa's heart.
"Liv and I matched each Specter with their worst enemy from our forces. Just focus on defense. Our goal is not to kill everyone. It is to clear a path for Honey to Onye. Anyone who defeats their opponent is to aid Juno or Roach as soon as possible.
"We need finish up before the rest of Africa retaliates. If Africa's Specters converge on us before we cleanse Hannibal, we will probably die, even with {Rewind}. I will take out Africa's infrastructure to slow down their response to our assault. Any questions?"
[My ladies, my lord has just terminated Prince Rashid Jaber.]
"Well, that's one down. Anyway, those back home have been briefed. They are all already waiting with Phillip to be summoned. Lilly, as much as we want to help, only you have the power to open a cross-continent {Gate}."
The princess shrugged and held her palms out while answering.
"I know. You don't have to tell me. I was fortunate my first experiment with Ishtar's Bloodline worked. It was only because of them that I could even come here. Although Exa told me, Phillip, Will, Addison, and Cynthia all fainted after we crossed."
I then suddenly felt a gush of positive emotions rush into me like a tidal wave. I almost came from the euphoria that hit me like a truck. Looking at the faces of the other Sirens, they too felt the same as I did.
'My Kindred. The ones who own my heart. Please come to me. I need you.'
Hearing the voice of the man I loved the most echo in my heart made me feel blissful. Everyone was cranky earlier as Honey wished to vent. But as we knew how stressed he was from Zanele's lectures about the Sins, we understood.
With a giant smile on my face, I called out to my sisters.
"Shall we go? It seems our man is already dying of loneliness."
They all nodded. I raised my hand and invoked a {Portal}. When the other side showed the visage of my Honey, I ran to him with all my might. Unfortunately, the rest of the girls did exactly the same thing.
[My ladies, what should I do about the two women in Atlantis?]
Atlantis was our codename for the Siren base in Lilly's storage.
"They are Reapers; they should not die from suffocation. Just watch them for me, Exa. The girls and I have a war to win."
[I understand, Lady Bella. Fuck them up.]
