Limitless The Strongest Revenant-Chapter 1058: I’ll take two [1/2]

Silence loomed over our large party as we made our way inside the Gate of Irkalla. I was sure everyone had their own thoughts about various matters.

The wolves who were focused on completing my assignment.

The Awakened who began to hit roadblocks in their ascent to power.

The Seraphs who worried about the dangers of Hellsend's coming enlistment.

And then you have the people who were, for lack of a better word, happy-go-lucky.

"Limitless, you promised me one of the Faker morning stars. Exa still won't let me take it out. Give it to me."

"Sure, Exa, grant him access to two."

[I understand, my lord.]

"Hehe. Two? One for each hand. Hehehe. Can't wait."

Obviously happy from his new toys, Roach's tail began to wreak havoc on the path we walked on. The force his tail smashed the ground caused aftershocks. We didn't lose our balance, but I could see the ground began to form fissures like cracks on a plate.

Eva, who heard, came closer and joined in the conversation. "Boy, can you give me spiked knuckles and shin guards made out of fakers?"

"Sure, just let Terence know; he has authority over the cold Faker weapons," I answered.

In excitement, Eva smashed her right fist into her left palm. The abrupt movement was so strong that I felt a slight tremor travel through the air like a sonic boom. Much like how Roach didn't give a crap about anything else, neither did Eva.

Despite that, however, both Roach and Eva were on their best behavior. My seductive and sexy bodyguard detail surrounded me and them. For some reason, they all decided not to walk by my side. Supposedly, Eva and Roach were my bodyguards.

Everyone else was an attacker. Which was bullshit, but then the girls told me they needed the practice. After all, after this we would be attacking the main boss's base. They surrounded me in three groups like the points of a triangle. And they adjusted their positions in step with mine.

Looks alone, you would not think that they were extremely protective yanderes. They looked like beauty pageant contestants enjoying a stroll while chatting. They didn't even hold back on the topics they discussed. [Cipher] ensured it would remain private.

Behind me to my left were Robyn and Lilly. Their discussion was arguably the one that spies would love to hear.

"Pervert, you think I can break the road we're walking on if I punch with all my strength?"

"Don't even joke about that, Jailbait. Even just [Loli Powered] and [Hellcat Bash] are already a pain to deal with. If you turn on that infernal cheat of yours, then this entire space will collapse."

"You call me a cheater even with the crap you pull out of your ass? [Queen's Stiletto] is already insane, and you still have that bullet dragon thing. Then there's [Warp] and the [Greed of Babylon]. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black."

"How is that even the same thing? I have been a reaper years before you were! And you're already many times stronger than I ever was at my peak as the Untamed. And you haven't even turned into a real Chaser! Just how ridiculous do you plan to be? You are a cheat!"

Hearing Lilly's words, I couldn't help but nod. Robyn's Sin series {Program} had amazing potential. In theory, it could allow her to fight above ranks and beat even Specters. The moment she ascends to become one, just how powerful would my kitten be?

The Sin series of {Programs} went just beyond overpowered. They were, in essence, a culmination of wisdom. Prior to the announcement to attack Antarctica, my girls behaved like loners. They might well work together, but they didn't collaborate.

As if asking for someone's help made them inferior. But somewhere along the way, they began to change. If I had to pick a moment, it might have been after the discussions about the Sins and Successors. Before that day, they had a silent competition for my attention and love.

A good example was how they helped each other learn. While normal people just talked and taught, the Sirens were different. They instead turned it into a game. They made each other learn by giving homework and tasks. It was more difficult but ultimately much more rewarding.

For one, people were different. Their experiences, values, and words all shaped a person's character. And these differences created new possibilities from the same thing. Thus, even though the girls had the same {fates}, their uses vastly differed.

Nothing could explain this difference more than the new programs my harem created. In preparation for our future battles, they began reworking their abilities seemingly overnight. This might be the first time I get to see their new combat styles in person.

I couldn't help but look forward to what was to come.

Not to be outdone by Lilly and Robyn, the ones behind me, to my right were just as diligent. Bella and Jo were chatting, but their conversation was just as terrifying.

Few would grasp their talk, but it revealed a part of our fighting strength. Even if others heard and somehow understood, they still needed {Code}, or {Program} to use the info.

"Bella… come on! You have to help me with [Sonic Cannon]! I'm stumped! Pretty please?"

The adorable plea from Jo made me smile. While I was used to her fawning over me and Jas like this, Jo began to do it to everyone in our family. Aki and Liv welcomed the change. Bella, Lilly, and Robyn, in particular, found it quite uncomfortable.

"Ugh. Stop clinging to me, nutjob! I told you I don't know how to do it. Don't you and the sadist have enough IQ points? I am sure you can figure it out together."

Like something from a manga, Jo grabbed onto Bella's waist and nuzzled her face into my Honey's bosom. Meanwhile, the Brazilian might have acted annoyed, but she was gentle in trying to fend Jo away. They looked like sisters in every sense of the word.

"Eh! But I have you! Come on! Help me! I will tell you some of Darling's secret fetishes as payment."

"W-Why would you think I want that? My sex life has nothing to do with you! Besides, I could just listen to his link. It's practically telling me everything already."

"Right, that is true! Darling is definitely a pervert," Jo smiled in mischief. "But wouldn't you want to hear the ones he secretly dreams about? I heard it while we slept with my soulgear turned on. And only I have that info."

I couldn't help but shake my head. How could they discuss such matters in public? While no one in particular was paying attention to Jo and Bella's words, the trade didn't seem fair. After all, Jo was asking for help with a {Program}; compared to that, my info seemed worthless in comparison.

But despite that fact, Bella agreed.

"Fine. [Sonic Cannon] works on the principle of using sound to generate force. Rather than focus on sound, use it as a guide; use Robyn's [Gravity rounds], Lilly's [Rail Gun], and Liv's [War cry] as the basis. Your goal is not to injure with sound waves, but rather to generate energy using it as a medium."

'What? Bella accepted? How are my fetishes even ones I don't know about important?'

[My lord, you do not seem to know how obsessed the Sirens are with you.]

"WOW! You're so smart, Bella! I love you! Mwuah! Thank you very much! [Rail gun's] concept is compression. [Gravity round's] is focused gravity manipulation. I don't need sound to be hard, I just need it to have 'Weight'! Amazing! Then what is [War cry] for?"

Like an energy bunny, Jo lifted Bella off the ground and began jumping around after kissing her cheek. Bella may have acted like a tsundere, but I saw the pride and happiness radiating from her link. My Honey has always felt inadequate among my harem. It was nice to see her interaction with Jo.

"Stop it, you nutjob! [War cry] works as a taunt, but Liv unconsciously reverses the effect of {Withstand}. I asked her before; she didn't even notice. Basically, her shouts can make someone feel more sensitive to vibrations. In short, [War cry] turns people brittle."

When the girls began discussing such complicated topics, I felt my head hurt. But after this quick chat, Jo's {Program} [Sonic Cannon] will become even stronger. I already feel the souls surging around her as she reworked her {Program}.

Unlike me, who had Exa to help with creating them, the Sirens didn't. This difference allowed me to keep up with them, but the gap in our abilities was still clear. Naturally, I was inferior. It was like comparing someone who rides a bike with training wheels to one who doesn't.

'Sigh, this is definitely better than someone who lazes around all day. But it's exhausting to keep up.'

I knew how diligent my girls were in their studies, so I never stopped or interfered with them. But it was really hard to keep up with such talented people. If I let up just a tiny bit, the girls would leave me in the dust. And because of my personality, I had to be stronger than they were.
