Limitless The Strongest Revenant-Chapter 1073: Better than fiction [2/2]
I watched as each time my weapon slammed on Onye's head, his smile wavered just a little more.
When his livestock decreased to fifteen, his smile vanished.
The moment it dropped to ten, he began to tremble.
He began to cry and scream when only five remained.
In contrast, my bloodlust and eagerness were both about to explode. It felt exhilarating to watch this fucking bastard see his eventual demise.
'I am so going to enjoy this.'
When his last crony exploded into a pile of blood, Onye's face warped in fear!
Thud. The next blow finally did him some damage; his face was deformed and his skull fractured, turning him into a misshapen human. Soul erupted into the air as the sound of glass shattered.
Thud.
More blows fell. Each time Onye somehow survived. But seeing his face slowly get walloped by my Faker mace felt incredibly satisfying. He tried to protect his face with his arms, but a sharp crunch turned them into noodles and blew them away.
As my arm slammed the weapon even deeper, the cycle for the {Fast Forwards} shortened. Like a pile driver, I bashed his head deeper into his fat, oversized, morbidly obese body. Like a cartoon, his head vanished into his torso.
Then {Fast Forward} fell on the rest of his bulk. With brutal efficiency, each blow pulverized a chunk of his body. I doubted that Onye was more durable than my good friend Rashid. All in the span of a single second, Onye's entire body was erased into nothing.
Not even his blood remained. Every bit of him was hammered into dust, and even those were not spared by {Fast Forward}. By the time my Entropy ended, I was alone in the room while everyone lay in a pool of blood.
At the conclusion of this long battle, I gazed out the window and breathed a deep sigh.
"Finally," I called out. "Now for the real challenge."
Without a second glance, I prepared to leave the room, only for an arrogant-sounding voice to echo.
"I was told you were insane, but I severely underestimated your power."
Turning around, I saw a speck of disgusting sludge of some sort trying to piece itself together. The black sludge showed a vertical lip with sharp teeth that seemed ominous. If I knew my anime and manga, which I did, this bastard was going to offer me wealth, riches, or power for sparing him.
Wordlessly, I raised my Faker mourning star and took a wide stance.
"Wait! Don't kill me! I am demon! I can help you!"
I paused.
"Wealth! Riches! Women! Anything your heart desires! I can give it to you!"
I rolled my eyes at the cartoonish attempts of the demon that just emerged. Exa scanned the pitiful looking pile of shit in front of me. It was another dream demon which seamed stronger than my previous assistants.
But I hardly found him interesting as I already knew everything about his biology. So instead I tried to check what he knew instead.
"Where is the Immortal?"
"…"
When the demon remained silent I gripped my weapon with both hands and prepared to swing.
"W-Wait! His in the cemetery below!" the dream demon whimpered.
'Exa?'
[Searching now. We have found a subterranean layer under the room you are staying. It looks extremely similar to an inverted pyramid in structure with the deepest part being barely the size of a locker.]
'Is the Immortal inside it?'
[Unknown. Even with {Insight}, I cannot see what lies ahead. Something is protecting the area.]
'Sigh. So its' fog of war. Then that is probably where we need to go.'
Due to being a gamer for years, I was accustomed to the timeless adage: "If there are no obstacles or enemies in your path, you're going the wrong way."
This was specifically true to video games as apart from random encounters, the 'Correct' path usually took you to the next beats of the story. If one wished to progress, going through the path designed by the games creators was necessary.
[I believe that is the case. How should we proceed?]
'I will go. Tell the Sirens. Anyone who can spare the time can follow. But they are to prioritize tacking out their opponents first. Continue sending what I see to Bella. Hopefully what I show them is enough to get them to stand down.'
[My lord, the ladies will not like this. Would it not be better to wait?]
'Haha, normally that would be the case. But considering the entire way this experience had been framed, I am not going to be surprised that when I meet the Immortal he already has gotten taken over by the Arch Demon.'
[That is an extremely poor and terrifying joke. No matter how powerful you are my lord. You cannot win a battle with a Revenant.]
'I guess we will just have to see,' I replied to my trusty AI with a grin.
I sneered at the misshapen blob in front of me trying my best to appear intimidating. "What are you fuckers doing to him?"
"An Archdemon is trying to hijack his mind," the demon replied meekly.
"How close is he to succeeding?"
"He should be close. The entire premise of everything we had done at this point was to ensure that no one could interfere. But you ruined everything!"
"Is that so? Thanks for the input," I said in gratitude. "Goodbye!"
"Wait! Aren't you curious at all at our plan?"
"Not really? I need to go now. So, thank you for your help. Have fun dying."
Without letting it ask another question, I slammed my Faker mourning star with all its spikes into the disgusting demon crap in front of me.
"{Fast Forward}!"
{NOOO!!!} a loud chilling scream of what sounded like thousands of demonic voices echoed from all around me.
My strike grew too powerful and pummeled the ground so much the floor broke apart. The excessive power of my blows destroyed layer after layer. As Exa had analyzed from the opulent decoration of the African palace, I soon found myself in a dilapidated ruin of some sort.
"I guess this is the pyramid thing. Then I should just head down, right? I wonder if they will give me puzzles and mini bosses?"
[My lord, the entire premise of comparing reality to a game seems misguided to begin with. Are you sure you do not wish to wait for backup?]
"No. I trust my Harem. They did everything they could for me to get here. Now it is time for me to finish this problem at its root."
I had Tuesday open the door and enter the room.
Smiling I added, "Besides, I won't be alone. And unlike traditional RPG's I have zero reason to follow their level design. The only requirement is to reach the bottom most floor."
"{Day by Day}. [Hellsend's Armory]."
Summoning the rest of my avatars I armed them to the teeth.
"[Maestro]." [Defender]." "[Sky Sentinel]." "[Heavy Gunner]." "[Executioner]." "[Ninja]."
I switched Sunday's discipline to [Maestro]. And had the rest of my bodies arm themselves for an all-out war. With {Fabricate}, I no longer had any restriction on what weapons to use. So, I armed everyone with FT5 rocket launchers and M134D miniguns.
While I could use {Fabricate} to create weapons with a higher caliber, I barely had the ammunition to load them with. {Fabricate} worked extremely well for weapons but it was lousy from consumables.
'Or rather, I find the entire thing a chore. Once we get home, I really need to go shopping.'
Thursday who had [Heavy Gunner], even had floating FT5's around him. Seeing the fire power I could know bring to bear made me smile. Just remembering all the time, I spent getting lost in dungeons in RPGS made my head hurt.
"Reality is truly better than fiction."
I then pointed to the hole on the ground and said with a smile.
"We are breaking though. American style. Light it up!"
[My lord, this manner of exploration is extremely dangerous. You could compromise the integrity of the structure and collapse it on itself.]
"Isn't that a good thing? We can get the bastards inside to come out!"
[Sigh. I give up. Do as you please my lord. I will offer you my full support.]
"Thanks Exa. You are the best."
Without any fanfare, my avatar's all pressed the triggers in our hands. And Red 95 mm {Bestow} rockets and White 7.62mm rounds tore apart the ruin in front of me. Within seconds flames and dust erupted. Bit by boring bit the final dungeon on my African adventure was torn open.
Using a whole lot of freedom my soul avatars and I blasted the walls of the ruins apart. The stronger parts of the structure didn't fall apart leaving a clear path. Under the roar of out ordinance and gunfire we marched.
"Exa, have Burger and Fries, guard the entrance. If any of the African's follow me down. I want to know."
[Understood. My lord.] 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
Seeing the walls come down and collapse under my fire power was quite satisfying. There were a few blimps that appeared but soon vanished.
"Exa, why aren't we encountering any enemies?"
[My lord. I believed you already did. Thousands of them. But as you have been firing indiscriminately not even their ashes have been left.]
"Oh? Funny, I hardly noticed," I said with a chuckle.
